  • After 7000 miles and almost 2.5 years ownership, the dreaded Service Light is on the dash.. this is still the yearly service and I wondered if my BHPUK handheld device could reset it?
With it being the later Euro5 model, there are devices out there that can do (OBD Scanner) but they are about £600 and overkill for a Service Light reset.
Anyway drop a comment if you have managed to reset your Euro5 service light on your Hypermotard.. and as always like and subscribe!
    Happy New Year!

Just a note guys - BHPUK don’t advertise this facility on their devices.. however they are working with DimSport to see if they can get it working as the menu suggests for Euro5 bikes - so keep an eye out for the follow up video 👍🏻

I just ordered the BHPUK two days ago (prior to viewing this video) and I was advised that you can reset the service lights as well as see error codes (just the code, no description). I have not received it yet to see. Hopefully because in addition to the toon I specifically stated that I am buying their device and tune because they said that I will be able to reset the service

Yeah i use it to clear codes and on the Euro5 hyper it will reset the service 👍🏻

OBD Iscan Ducati is the best bit of kit on the market for home servicing

I discussed this with Daniel Deussen when I bought my device and map. In the discussion, Daniel said that the ECU flash device can't reset service indicators or codes because they are handled by the dash which has its own operating system independent of the ECU.
Unfortunately the expensive ODB tool is the answer

My BHPUK device does reset fault codes.. even my cheap bluetooth obd plug resets any codes - the service reset one is the pain 😭

Got me all hopeful that it would work.

BHPUK are on it (even if it is something they don’t really offer).. so we’ll see 👍🏻👍🏻

Love my hyper but ducati's lack of right to repair keeps you tethered to their dealerships is a reason this is my 1st and my last Ducati I will ever own.

Agree, The fact that my local dealer is the absolute worst doesn’t help either

Change the clock/calendar settings to an appropriate date and the annual service disappears, it worked for my euro 5 model

It would be nice to see if the odb tool can do it. I bought one after the first service as I'm not planning taking it to the dealer until desmo service. Though I'm far from 7k miles, lol.

If the devices can get into the ecu to write software.. then i don’t think it should take much more effort to reset an indicator - I’m positive BHPUK (and others) will get to the bottom of it 👍🏻
