Great video. You might like the Metzeler TD Slicks. I switched from Q5s as well, the rear was getting destroyed way too fast. There is the added hassle of tire warmers, but the upside is no need for a warm up lap. 😃
I mainly ride this bike on the street, but if I was going to slicks, I would go with the Pirelli's (similar to the Metzeler's, I think) Next pair, I will most likely go back to the Pirelli DOT TD tire. They dont last either but are supper sticky for the street ! (and very similar to the Q5)
@@xeeded The mirrors hold the clutch/brake fluid reservoirs in place, if you remove them you need a reverse threaded bolt (of which I dont have) to hold them in place...
ncie video! I brought home a 698 base model yesterday so I'm excited to see what it can do. I noticed you were short shifting this bike. I was under the impression that this motor preferred to be revved out more to get the most out of it?
seen many of those straight line hero V4’s in my time 😭😭
Do you have a instagram?? I just bought my rve 698 as well! Super fun machine
No, just Fakebook... Great bike, enjoy !
Glad to see you have tape on those mirrors.
Ha, ha !
Awesome video.
11 000 RPM, go max gaz !!!!

It was fun watching the motoamerica guys blow by this week. I'm pretty sure I was in the way 😂
@@oletreed4230 yeah those German BMW race team guys were rippin!
Why not pull the mirrors? Reserve the painters tape for saving the finish on the mirror nuts?
PS: thanks for the post. Looks like a blast.

With the thing un-corked with the full system and race map you can rev it or short shift it.....
@@jokerioafm12 that awesome to know!
Q5S was done by the end of this session? Or done after the entire day? What pressures are you running?
Tire gone by half day, Don't remember pressure, but probably should have run more !
You need a 1390 superduke, thousand XR or something, unfortunately it ain’t just corner speed..
I Don't need any of that, because I have this !
