Very important to ask the sellers to show the demo service was done. If done by the owner at home, should show receipts for parts. Resetting a desmo service light and not doing a service is too risky. Good point that PulluMoto raised "don't skip your desmo service"
Good information! I bought the cables and downloaded the program. I am going to use this program after I do the Desmo Service on my 2015 Scrambler. Can I also use this program and cables on my 2023 Next Gen Scrambler Icon?
If you have the cables already you can check if the next gen takes the 4 pin plug(i think it does) so from that side you should be sorted, as for software try the latest melcodiag but i dont see a reason why it shouldnt work. Always check the official site and forums to check for compatibility

@@pullumoto Very nice. I imagine you can take the overnight traghetto to Sicily and do some riding there sometimes. Here in California we have many nice highways and winding roads to explore.
That is very nice, in Malta we don't alot of long roads to enjoy and most of the time the island is grid locked. To go to Sicily and race track we have a high speed ferry which takes around 1hr45min and costs around 200 euro(rider+bike+return)

If you did not receive license its probably an issue with the data you are sending. I suggest searching the forum of jpdiag for more troubleshooting as I am sure other people had the same issues
Does anyone know if this works on the 2021 Scrambler 800 Nightshift? I can't find any info on when the ECU changed to the next-generation. My ECU is an S800IC-CR-FT
I see that the OBD ELM 327 from the link above is different from the one that you have used in your video. It doesn't have that switch. It is ok to use it?
Hi! I bought the cables that you recommended (thanks!) and I have also received the CLE file from JPdiag but I couldn't reset the oil service light. The thing is that I don't have a permanent service light. Basically when I turn on the ignition it shows for couple of seconds that I have 300km left until the oil service. Should I wait until I'll have a permanent service light?
@@alexmurariu87 yes you have to wait for the service light to come on, what you have is pretty standard and it it tells you when the next service interval is. Once those 300km pass the service light becomes permanent and then you can remove it.
i have a scrambler 1100 i am not getting motorcycle infos when i press connect, can you provide the drivers you used to connect the elm interface? thanks
Windows should install all drivers automatically, if not you may need ch340 drivers. Also are you sure the cable are correct? if cable doesnt have the ftdi chip there will be no connection
I have 2 cables wired and 2 Bluetooth, all 2 cables working fine , connected by not gives info moto (( , same with 1 Bluetooth, other Bluetooth failed connection, I have wired 6pin euro 5 adapter Ducati

Good point and if they cant provide proof at least you can check the timing belts condition very easily on a scrambler before buying

Could this turn off the headlights so I can run only day time running lights ? I’m in canada and they run headlights for safety reasons.
I don't think you can turn them off permanently. The newer scramblers for example have ambient sensor and they turn off the headlight when its sunny

It should be the same procedure for that bike yes, but before anything confirm that you have a 4 pin port not the 3 pin

I received the lic file, but when I opened the software and clicked on resets, there was no response
So the service warning is still on the bike? The software doesn't give any response when clicking the buttons

are you sure you have the correct cables? Most of the time its an incorrect cable issue
