Hypermotard Track Day Aftermath
My Hypermotard took a beating at the track! The exhaust heat shield brackets cracked, leaving 4 holes in the pipe. Plus, scraped pegs, a broken gear shifter, and a bent rear brake lever. Join me as I assess the damage and decide what to do next.

Great video bro. Gonna do mine in a week, this will help a me a lot. One question though, instead of 7.5W Fork Oil. I only have 10W, should i still follow the quantity of 561ml and 429ml for both forks or should i put less since its a little bit thicker viscuosity? Thanks again💪
You should still put same amount of oil else you will have much more air(air is compressable) in the forks which will defeat the purpose of thicker oil. Thicker 10w IMO is a better choice for stock hyper as the front forks dive quite alot when braking hard. Good luck 🙏
@@pullumoto noted on that.thanks a lot .. Appreciate your response. Keep up the vids💪
Nice find on the bars, do you recall what model number you ordered?
Yep! these are ABM Touring handlebars aluminium, type 0310, black
C😮
Hey brother thank you for this awesome video! I have a 2009 Ducati 848. Was able to get everything working and pressed the blue button, requested license. However I still have not recieved anything from JPdiag. I was hoping you can send me your license since it is the same model.
Mine wont work because the license is attached to the vin number of your bike I already tried that method
@pullumoto ah ok got it thanks bro!
Hi, do i need change spark gap for NGK spark plug ? I bought a Ngk Dcpr8eix . Thank you so much !
And do the gap same as yours?
spark plugs are usually pre gapped especially since yours is iridium, I would still check it as it only takes a couple of seconds
@@pullumoto yeah, thank you!
way to go pullu keep them coming
Thanks🙏
Imagine - you could have bought a Honda 😂
Look at it this way... Ducati's are infinite content 😂
Heater circuit code - more likely a wire has broken or burnt, than an issue due to the air leak
You are probably right since there was kind of an open flame that could be hitting the wires. I am gonna replace the sensor anyways now but will try to check if there is any physical damage
I can imagine how ducati sounded
probably 2x the SC project noise 😂
Hi!👋 Rear suspension definitely needs to be adjusted, I think the pegs were scraping mostly because it was too soft and because of the this also couldn't take the tyre to the edge. I need to learn abit about suspensions as I'm not really good at that. The plan next time is to make kind of a vlog of the weekend, unfortunately this time around didn't have much time to film anything as I had to also do some photography work.
@@pullumoto very good!!
Great video! Thanks
You're welcome!
Boss!!! you can bypass this sensor better than replacement .Bypass and flash ecu 😊
Yeah I found that out later but for 14 euro it was a cheap and easy fix, If I get more issues with these sensors I will just delete them
Great thanks Just ran to home depo to buy for 30 mill socket Then broke out my 50 year old craftsman Torque wrench That uses mechanical steel arrow to show torque on Measurement plate 2024 full throttle 🤙
Hi, thanks for the video. How did you find the equivalent Bosch part number? I need the front sensor/cable equivalent to 55212111B. Thanks
Hey I simply wrote the ducati part number on ebay and found the sensor, in the item description there was also the Ducati/bosch part numbers written also the pictures visually matched to the one I had. Yours seems to be Bosch 0265008599 which is equal to Ducati 55212111B
@@pullumoto thank you!
Does anyone know if this works on the 2021 Scrambler 800 Nightshift? I can't find any info on when the ECU changed to the next-generation. My ECU is an S800IC-CR-FT
does it have the same 4 pin connector under the seat for the ecu? I would give it a try if It's the same
Great job! What's next? can filter or timing belt? So much work left. :) Go!!
Got back from the track with it and there are some few issues already 😄Will will address those first
@@pullumoto Sounds good! Enjoy the track and see you again
Hola se solucionó el problema con el motor de arranque? La mia hace lo mismo y pensé que era el clutch one way
Yes after replacing the starter it the issues are gone and bike starts immediately !
@@pullumoto thank you very much!!!
هل تنصحني في بي سي اكس جيل الرابع سعه المحرك ١٦٠ او جيل الثالث سعه المحرك ١٥٠ ايهما افضل
depends on your price budget, 160 has more quality of life changes (more storage, keyless and traction control)
Part 2 😊
how so beautiful

Hi, just on the oil filter replacement etc... I see that its 42nm's for the drain plug - my torque wrench only goes to 26.5... and having consulted a few mechs re this, they all thought 42 was quite excessive - did you go all the way to 42nm's?
Yeah honestly it is quite excessive I decided to hand tighten it and it's still good after a year. My hypermotard for example is 20Nm it's very weird
I appreciate the video content; it's always helpful.
Hi, great video - just one thing.. when you're putting the plates back in did you find that the 1st 2 plates(plate and 'washer') sit almost proud of the boss clutch - so when you put it back in that 1st washer 'slips' off, and getting the boss clutch fully in is very fiddly - I'm going to us some grease to 'glue' that first washer in so it doesnt slip - is this what you did?
A couple of gobs of grease on the first washer kept it in place - after 5 million attempts without grease... only took a couple of goes with grease...
Good to see that that you managed, I think putting the bike on a paddock stand also helps so that the clutch goes in straight with no incline so the washer doesnt fall
@@pullumoto I thought of the paddock stand too, to stop the slide - but I dont have one.. so got a big block of wood under kick stand so it was nearly vertical... along with lots of grease ;) - I've not finished yet... kinda stuck again getting the contol pin back in the clutch lifter but so pissed off with it(and myself) that I'm having a break lol... I'll drop a video/more explanation tomorrow - If I havent passed away from excessive liquid gasket fumes ;)
Perfect! 🎉
Check Engine light on - > check error -> Engine... wow.. no sh!t ducati...

How long does work new sensor? :D
Hopefully long time 😄
I like it
hi. I'm a big fan of your content. I've been enjoying my Hypermotard 821 with a Christmas dashboard error and a starter motor replacement. However, I need to install the 'CAN wiring filter protection kit' but I don't know how to install it, could you make a video on this? Also, my 'N' gear indicator LED is broken, is it possible to fix this as well?
Hi, thank you for your comment. regarding the CAN wiring filter protection kit, I am taking a different approach. I will be replacing the ignition coils instead as according to many posts on the forums they are the issue. So if you have "beru" brand coils they are most likely faulty. You can change them with "Eldor" brand front other ducati's/aprilia or in my case I bought a brand new set from aliexpress and I will be replacing them soon with sparkplugs and air filter. regarding your broken "N" lights its probably not the LED itself as those are soldered on. I would check the neutral sensor which sites at the back of the engine close to the oil filler cap
@@pullumoto Thank you for your rapid response. I have experienced two repairs for the Christmas tree error in Hypermotard 821. Once I used the Eldor coil as you said, and the other time I used the Donen coil sold by Aliexpress. The quality of the donen coils was excellent. The price was also very affordable. My Hypermotard 821 uses Donen coils, and I have no problems with them. I would like to share more information with you in the future. Thank you very much for your wonderful content.
Good to know the Donen coils are good because those are the ones im going to install 😄
What kind of exhaust is that?
It's an HP corse GP-07
Thanks for showing us. No blabla. Right to the point.
Yo bro Nice video! Where did you get your Front wheel fender? As we have a similar setup
It is an Acerbis "supermoto front fender" can be easily found on ebay
Thank you for the scrambler maintanance videos. Its good to know whats ahead of me. Keep up the good videos.
Glad you like them! Thankfully Scrambler is one of the easiest ducati to work on
beware tyre changes and always adjust the chain with bike on sidestand... garage I used didnt, and it completely destroyed the retaining washer... so much so that the chain ended up moving on to the swing arm and grinding a grove in it.... common problem apparently
Very helpful, thank you!
You're welcome!
Hi! Do you remember how many oil needs to fill in Fork with spring? :) Unfortunately you don't say that haha
Right:561ML (the one with the spring) Left:429ML
@@pullumoto Thanks! Great tutorial btw! :D
Please Can you help me? Ducati899 No to starting and fan is turn when stating ignition switch.
very weird problem, do you have check engine light on so you can check what errors you have?
Your bike has a lot of grease all over it, including the adjusting bolt (the vertical one) that connects to the rear brake foot lever. Clean the last part that I am mentioning, then lubricate it with some light oil such ad 3 in 1 oil. Evidently the foot lever may have been stuck - that is the reason for rear brake pad wear, friction and smoke. Clean your bike!
The issue was the adjusting bolt/lever it was set too tight so when brakes got hot it didn't have room for expansion at the master cylinder side
Thanks for the video bro💪
No problem 👍
Pretty wild that step 1 of changing the starter motor is draining the coolant 😅
true, what is wilder is that you even need to even open the engine to change a starter 😂
Hi. I bought the same light for the same bike (hypermotard) as you. I have the same resistance problem. What type of resistor did you use please? Thank you for your reply.
21w resistors should be enough, I cant really check what rating mine are because they are wrapped in heat shrink
Brother, from which side did you order these cables? Can you share the link with me brother?
All links are located in the description of the video
Does it work for Scrambler 800 full throttle 2017?
yes it should be the same procedure
Hi there. Thanks for great content. I am Scrambler owner as well. Do you perhaps now if the original OEM Brembo pads are organic or sintered? Thanks, cheers
OEM brembo are sintered
My bike is leaking excess fuel when left overnight, and it is difficult to start the engine, the throttle is stuck, can you tell me how to fix it?
If its leaking fuel most probably its the float needles sticking, unfortunately you have to open up the carburetors and clean them up
Bro this pcx 150 v1 or v2
2020 pcx
thank you very much dude!
Good video. One thought/question, the Haynes manual says you need a special tool to hold the clutch when torquing up the bolts but I note you didn't use/need one. Am I missing something? Thanks.
The tool is only needed when torquing big nut in the middle which sits on the primary shaft and holds the clutch housing. If you are just replacing clutch pack like I did, this is not needed
Is their a product that i can use to clean things when i remove them?
Brake cleaner spray is the best thing you can use and very commonly available
Was the filter tricky to put in and out?
its actually quite easy, keep in mind the position of the spring when you remove it
Would this work for a Ducati M1100 evo monster from 2012?
It should be the same procedure for that bike yes, but before anything confirm that you have a 4 pin port not the 3 pin
