~~Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, finds herself alone in a vast, unfamiliar world.

Bound by her lineage and guided by echoes of her past, Hornet will adventure through mossy grottos, coral forests and shining citadels to unravel a deadly thread that threatens this strange new land.
I love how loud hornet's footsteps are, it shows how much heavier she is than the knight, which is obvious considering she's not empty
Idk why but i just imagined her spearing a random insect and sucking out it's innards because spider
They might tune it a bit , if it s too loud. It was still in development, I can imagine some feedbacks from players who didn't like it.
After all, you will hear it all the game , and maybe it could be unnecessarily distracting.
The game must be fluid, fun, and pleasing: every detail counts. Especially soundtracks and sound effects !

Learning to play this is gonna be a whole different experience than Hollow Knight and I love it. I love that it's not just the same thing but different areas and enemies, it's actually almost entirely unique.

Yes! I totally agree, and can see why it’s taking so long (in between dealing with covid lockdowns here in Australia).
I think Silksong could feasibly be quite a bit more difficult due to the increased speed and adaptability of the new playable character.
I love how Team Cherry do things thoroughly and do it right. Sure the game is taking forever and it’s killing me, but the fresh look, gameplay and well everything… this will be a masterpiece.

Imagine every time you start the game the landing position is randomized and sometimes you just have to reset because she dies immediately
In Voidheart, the knight never makes a single noise. No grunts, no yells, just a blank, empty stare. And that's fine writing-wise. The whole point is that the knight isn't even alive in the first place. But I still never liked that. Now with Silksong, Hornet being the character you play as, makes a lot of noise and has personality in her movements. I really like that change

Her animations are so detailed compared to the knight, I love her detail when jumping onto platforms and her attack animations. she looks more animated and alive then the knight.
Ok I get that the knight is dead. I meant that team cherry really put extra detail that makes her suit her environment and the atmosphere and it looks fantastic

I have a theory for silksong. So that strange white glowing butterfly
That broke the seal of binding
Looks like the same ones that lace was conducting at the E3 treehouse
Demo. So my theory is that lace was the one to break the seal in hopes that hornet
Would die. Something that also hold up this theory is that lace refers to hornet as a
“Small spider that fell to the kingdom.” The fact that she knew this information is very strange considering
She would’ve been no where near where hornet was. But a lot of people might say that “well she could’ve
And we just didn’t see her” I think this is very unlikely because hornet has to travel along way to get to the deep docks
And lace was already just there. So what I’m thinking is that lace sent the white butterfly from the deep docks to find hornet and
To kill her. Because maybe lace knew that hornets silk would go haywire and possibly kill her. But that’s just my theory!

Remember: if you think Silksong looks amazing from this demo, remember that this was from *four years ago.* can you even comprehend how much they've added, changed, polished, and perfected since then? And they're still at it! They delayed the game TO CONTINUE making it better! Silksong will be the best game of the year when it releases, and I say that with much confidence. I know the wait is killing you. I hate it too. But it will be worth it. Continue to trust that it will eventually release, and you will be extremely happy. Keep waiting. Its worth it.
Edit a month later: GTA 6 is releasing in 2025, and silksong will most definitely be releasing then if not in 2024, so probably not game of the year. Absolutely indie game of the year, though.
The wait is really killing me now 😭😭. And i don't know if it is good or bad but after dive into hallownest i can't enjoy any games else, at least in similar indie platform metroidvania etc like this, at the 5th i complete the game, i still feel if i have time, i just replay again but not the others game 😂

thinking about the size of hornet to the knight and then the size of these enemies to hornet is weird because they make hornet feel smaller than she was in hollowknight
that confused me too at first, but hornet isnt that big compared to the knight
@@BedoKGun Yea. I think the size of her head is what makes her look taller than she really is. She is probably the same size as the knight without the horns.
Her shoulders are almost as tall as the knight (including the horns). Go check out the images for her boss fight
But ya she ain't that big. Probably like 4-5 inches taller than thek night (if the knight was the height of a slightly below average human)

@@hossxox7388 In most Metroidvanias, from what I've seen, when a DLC adds an ending, it's for 99% meant to be a bridge to a sequel. + the events of the Godseeker Mode take place after the Embrace the Void ending, so the fvckery and its results this ending caused weren't SO severe it seems. Shade Lord boss fight is entirely possible. We've already seen some void entities in Silksong.

6:01 I noticed the boss fight only started when hornet walked on moss mothers eggs, I wonder if you can skip the fight by avoiding stepping on them. Idk, I’ll test it once it comes out.

@@LeBonkusno, I think the doors just closed really fast, by the time the screen pans to the left door the right door seems to already be closed. although I did have to play at 0.25x speed I think I did catch the left doors closing animation, if only for a single frame

@@GuyInRealLifeI don't think that's gonna happen, since Silksong might be the next events after the defeat of Radiance in Hollow Knight.
Plus, we can fight a "Pure Vessel" version of the Hollow Knight (last main Boss before the normal Radiance) in the Pantheon of Hallownest, just before fighting Absolute Radiance.
@@rubemmarchon5875well after you beat absolute radiance it shows that at least pure vessel didn’t fade into void like the other vessels (probably because of the shade lord)
One thing i noticed is that when you take dmg you have little to no s and this maybe makes up for the fact that healing doesn't require anymore the focus mechanic where you stay in 1 place and you even heal 3 masks at once which is quite nice
The music and sound design is so beautiful. The Hollow Knight games are something else.
I wish I was lucky enough to be graced with games this brilliantly done more often - but I guess something is better than nothing.
I hope so much Silksong is out in the next year or two at least.

Funny how Hornet lorewise (and also in Silksong's play) is much more stronger than what we get to see when we fight her as the knight. But buffing her to her normal state would be horrible for new players because she is one of the first bosses and fighting something that hard would be insane

why it looks so cool
it was put in because the fights and battles are fast paced and it would be hard to tell when an enemy was staggered maybe. its also a cool effect.

Is pogo-ing removed? Those diagonal down slash looks difficult to chain on one enemy's head.
theres crests that allow you to switch up movement options, and one allows hornet to do just that
They even gave her new voice lines although I feel like I prefer her voice in hollow knight

It was found that there are 11 possible "first" bosses in hollow knight, although most of them require an experienced player with a lot of past knowledge of glitches or quirky mechanics to even get to them. However, assuming you mean Gruz Mother, there's also False Knight, who has many variations of three or four attacks

I have a theory that the moss mother or something else made all the moss in the moss grotto and it used to be part of the bone forest kinda like unn and greenpath
It seemed to me that the first location would play the Bonebottom track, but Christopher must have decided that that location and atmosphere should give more positive emotions

I'm pretty sure there will be an ending to continue the godseeker ending, and in Hollow Knight next project, the Shade Lord aka the Knight may be out of control, we may face him as the final boss to stop the void invasion (THK may sacrifice himself to stop TSL)
I'm just going that we get a chance to play as the Hollow Knight or that we at least get to know him better. Maybe he's the one trying to deal with the Shade Lord

Honestly i hope they will add option to turn off her voice (but not all sounds and music). In first playtrough it will be nice, but i guess it will become annoing when every jump hornet just "HA! hEh! HOi!"
