Well when an alien species learns English, their speech is likely to have some grammar quirks. Like how they say "The" when addressing someone and their last name, perhaps in their language referring to an individual has a similar pattern to it, whatever the Vortigaunt version of "The" is.
I wonder if anyone at Valve actually had had any meaning in mind with their language, or if "Uuk gaak ack ga gack" is just random vocal sounds. Probably was fun to be a voice actor for those guys.
You know, before watching how Episode 2 ends, i just would of said "Yea, Valve take your time with Half life 3" but now, after seeing the biggest cliff hangar in gaming history, where is my half-life 3!!!!
in development for AGES, they said they finished the story, the scripts now they just dont want to work on it, they keep it low because its not that important to them anymore.. they work on the engine and everything veeeeery slow...

Indeed, he didnt want eli to die.... But why? And why letting alyx change it when he could. And of course because of him surviving he wants something paid back from alyx wich his her Existenz from that timeline. But probably there is more to it
Technically, the unforeseen consequences originally referred to his death. Half-Life: Alyx just rewrote it to refer to his resurrection and his daughter’s capture.

Crazy to think striders were once possibly peaceful wandering creatures. But then the combine saw a use for them, and they became the fearsome cyborg warmachine we see now.
They're still rather graceful with movement, they just have guns on their faces now.

The tunnel battle with the Antlions is my FAVORITE part of Episode 2. The music when the Vorts team up with you and the two rebels to take on the Antlions is AWESOME

That part with the striders before the endgame was struggling for me to deal with but didn't manage to get the achievements to keep every single silo on the battlefield because it was the first time to play this episode on "easy" difficulty. But Eli's death at the end gets me crying while Alyx gazes at him.

36:49 I had a mad glitch on this bit.
The lift that the vorticon is supposed to take had an ammo crate stuck underneath, so the vorticon wouldn't even attempt to get on. It's like the ammo crate was vibrating underneath, to add to that, I saved the game when I got to the top so I couldn't get back down or reload an earlier save, I was stuck up top, and he was permanently stuck at the bottom just standing there 😭
Luckily I had full health, and after many attempts I figured out a way to jump down all the way to the bottom by riding the fixtures of the elevator I came up on. I managed to get to the bottom with just 9 percent health!
Went over to the elevator, tried to get the ammo box with my gravity gun, won't budge 😳 can't grab it, can't blast it, nothing & to add to all that, if I touch the elevator, I immediately die, its like the game was reading it as a fast moving object.
Idk how I managed to do it, but after a few attempts I grabbed that bastard ammo pack and immediately the vorticon got on the elevator & the game resumed.
& that's my life story folks, 🤣 na Foreal though nobody will probably ever read this, just wanted to share it somewhere, it was such a relief to get the game moving forward, after being stuck for so long, convinced I'd glitched the game into being completely broken (BTW it did not take me 36 minutes to get to that point 😂)

Woah.
Overall, I love Episode 2 on the same level I love Half-Life 2. It introduced so many new and interesting ideas and concepts. The hunters are great, White Forest was a really great looking location, and let us not forget the section with Antlions that added new variants and expanded the details behind them. I prefer it to episode 1 even, as that just kinda felt like more of the same, with not many sections sticking out to me in comparison to the others.
That zoom in at the start of the video shows that the person has a sense of humor. xD

@@3ggsy the problem is they’d be super strapped for time, since there’s advisors and combine closing in, and the thing will inevitably teleport somewhere else if they take too long
@@3ggsy that’s my big problem with the Borealis. It feels like a convenient macguffin to resolve the plot, that conveniently was discovered at the time of the revolution. To be fair though, G-Man is a built-in excuse for any contrivances.

The vortigunts seem to be the only half life creatures aware of the advisors existence and also seem to be the only ones aware of the G-mans existence (other then Eli and Gordon and possibly Alyx)
Used to play the original HL2 on the original Xbox so many times over since I didn't have much else and that was the most replayable game in my libary at the time. I do not miss those days though I'am much happier with my laptops and such.
