And let's not forget that Almagro also has the most central subte line of all, Line A, that goes all along Avenida de Mayo and Avenida Rivadavia that bisects the city into north and south parts. Also, Confiteria Las Violetas, one of the most beautiful and traditional cafes in Buenos Aires (full of locals) is in Almagro (Rivadavia y Medrano). Unfortunatelly you turned around one block before reaching it.
Me encanta que muestres las partes no turísticas de Buenos Aires, para que vean que es toda linda. Yo vivo en Villa Crespo, que también es una zona no turística, pero bella de la Ciudad, aparte de ser un Barrio muy diverso en su aspecto
Amigo Garry...I really enjoyed your video of your walk through the barrio...this way I get to know more of Buenos Aires in passing...I live in the interior of Argentina...and I have family there in Buenos Aires...in the suburbs...I only went a couple of times and the prices of the food seemed horribly expensive compared to my city. For the price of two empanadas in Buenos Aires here you can buy 12 empanadas. The pizas are double or even triple the price there...Anyway, I enjoyed walking around there.
@@fmfari I wanted to stay somewhere that was not a typical tourist neighborhood, and that was more affordable than the usual tourist neighborhoods. I made a video about why I chose Wilde annd why I liked it so much. ruclips.net/video/v7hkUMeij30/видео.htmlsi=GTMJuLmTYFnGsvN4
I moved to Buenos Aires 3 months ago and am trying to establish residency here. I visited La Chacarita Cemetery this afternoon. I was not impressed with the La Chacarita neighborhood at all. Unlike almost all other parks in BA, El Parque de los Andes is dirty. Along the outside wall of La Chacarita Cemetery there were lots of homeless people and drug atticts camped out. I didn't happily wark through La Chacarita neighborhood and would certainly never live in it.
Glad you liked our Almagro, looking foward to see your next stop
I'm glad you showed us walking around this neighborhood that I didn't know. With you it's like having the traveler's guide. Thank you so much!

Hermoso barrio, Garry!
Junto con Villa Crespo quizás entre los mejores y más elegidos de CABA!
Saludos

i used to go to the playground in Plaza Almagro when I was little. good times!
Love your neighborhood videos. Thanks!
Welcome to Buenos Aires, I think other family neighborhoods you could try are Belgrano, Caballito and Villa Urquiza.
Hope you enjoy the stay. Cheers
Visita el barrio de Devoto te va a encantar ❤
I grew up in Almagro but I moved to Villa Crespo now so if we meet around there, let's share a drink pal cheeeeers!

"La China" is another category of grocery store. I guess the comparable format in the U.S. would be a bodega.
@@KenLangston yes theres usually one every few blocks. Very convenient!
_"el chino"_
colegiales and villaurquiza garry
@@ivansanchez557 I visited these both a couple times. Very nice!
Is there any neighborhood that has a reputation for high speed, reliable internet? (500MB, 1GB fiber)
@@KenLangston I'm not sure about that. Most places I have stayed only have typical residential internet speeds, usually 50-100 mb up and down.
and coghland
@@ivansanchez557 I went out to cohglan last summer. I liked it a lot!
ALMAGRO is by no means upscale though, pretty.much niddle middle class

Try west: Colegiales or Belgrano, or a little south west, Villa Urquiza.
Try Villa Crespo, Almagro or Abasto, these are nice and cheap.
@@Claudio_Fimiani I am currently lising in Villa Crespo.
Not the best part of Almagro , sadly but interesting……
