Personal reaction to CitizenCon has been to be deflated. Backed primarily for SQ42 and had great expectations of a release prior to 2026. The big attractions of the SC PU were the intricacies of the ship models themselves and the enjoyment of just flying, as when IRL you take your glider or light aircraft aloft not to fly from A to B with a purpose but simply to disconnect from the world below and enjoy the experience of flight. It's one thing to know intellectually that SC will be "released" and that its simulated version of such pleasures be tainted by the sort of constraints that challenge in IRL (like taxes, insurances, corporations and dealing with others) and another to see that closing-in.
Like you I signed up primarily for S42, however things like taxes were always a thing for the PU. I cannot recall a time where the PU wasn’t going to be a an MMO style game with ways to make money and absorb our time but also with money sinks to help balance the economy. We were always going to face taxes, insurance, corporations and interact with other players. Even in 2014-5 Chris talked about doing some missions the way guild wars 2 had handled them. A boss mob would spawn and anyone in the area could help destroy xxx.
@@algared6131 You're right about how the SC PU 'to be' state was described. But having become accustomed over many years to not having to contend with constraints like taxes, seeing them arrive will not be attractive now; people age and change.
There isn’t really a way to confirm or deny the number of wings. We could use the design of the Corsair or the draft concepts on the Cutter shown in JumpPoint Vol 11 No.6 Dec 2023 "Behind the scenes: Drake Cutter series", in which several of the draft concept pictures do seem similar to not only other drake ships but also the design shown in the Blue haze. In trying to determine how the design behind the haze would fly, Exe saw the only solution was for it to rotate. My argument against that was that this soluton does not follow the design language of Drake. I do not argue that from a lore perspective per se but rather from the design language the and styling the the Dev's choose to identify each manufacturer. My take is that the design language used for Drake would be more likely to be assymetrical rather than rotating because rotating is more associated more with the Xian and MISC. In short we are not saying the ship is MISC but rather it may not be Drake. So often in History people have erred because they see what they want to see rather than what is. Everyone looked at the silouhette (including me) and assumed it was Drake. If the ship rotates for flight then I do not believe it is Drake and the wings we assume were drake because of the Corsair could equally indicate it is MISC since they have similarities with the Reliant as well.
Half of everybody I've spoken to have had covid during the last three weeks, and none of us were to the UK. It's another, more aggressive version of the common flu now I guess
Probably, I certainly didn’t feel crook. But it did scupper plans to visit relatives who were immune compromised due to age or other concerns. It has me crisscrossing the UK and has added significant cost I hadn’t expected.
I'm in the USA and my shirt was great! Good to show appreciation to the ship team!
Thanks for feedback mate. Glad to hear the shirt was good quality.

What pretentious jibberish, go back to sleep
@@davewills6121no need to be rude, if you disagree with someone.

They should add Tier 2 beds at citizen con :)
@@cooler575 tier 1 would do the trick as well. Only need a local spawn point and healing from ailments.
I'm pretty sure the Drake ship you're saying is like a Reliant, does in fact have 3 wings, not 2?

I didn't like the starlancer max cargo capacity, I was hoping for 300+
