Excelente video!! I was looking for a retro helmet but hadn't considered they usually don't have vents. I have a clearer picture of the options now! Thank you!!!
I owned an original Bell star helmet. I had a cheap helmet before I bought the Bell Star. My friend and me were riding my Honda 350 . I was midway into a turn and this guy who had been standing still starts up and T-bones us knocking of the motorcycle. My mother asked me why I wasn’t wearing my new Bell Star helmet instead of my cheap helmet that I was wearing. I replied ‘ I didn’t want to get my Bell Star scratched.’ I was kind of dumb back then.
I can't find any information on the bogotto helmet. It has nice air vents and I like the way the mask is laid out it looks like a really nice helmet how come there is no information on that anywhere? I tried to order one but I couldn't get it
Amazing video. Really helpful. Please come up with a video to show that how we can maintain chrome tanks of motorbikes. It would be really appreciated.
@@ultra-ride2446 Certainly. But you could have named it “the 11 retro motorcycle helmets” … :) Who decides how many helmets you review ? Yourself. I bought an Araï Concept-X helmet. Given the Araï significance in the world of motorcycle helmets and your no nonsense approach, I was interested in your opinion. Drop a line if you lay your hand on and your head in one.
Anyone know where I can get the Nexx XG100 Billy B black & white like the one at the 6:00 mark? In the USA. I found one in Poland..And they don't ship to the US. I'm writing this in May 2021.
I like the design of the Daytona Retro helmet. It appears to be a rebranded SMK Retro helmet, which is available in Europe and ECE certified. The Daytona version seems to be DOT certified only and is not available in Europe as far as I know.
The Arai Rapide is what comes to mind but I think it more resembles a Motorsport helmet along with the Bell Eliminator. I didn't include it for the same reason I didn't include the Bell Eliminator - I would rather it be the subject of another video.
@@ultra-ride2446 surely they could have replicated it with more secure approach. I mean the very helmet has been updated for contemporary safety, hasn't it?
TORC helmets are great! Ultra-Ride mentioned it is closely based on the Bell Bullitt.....TORC Helmets are made in the same factory that produces Bell's helmets (but the Torc helmets are much less $$$)
The Torc T1 is a superior helmet to the Bell, hands down. The visor on the T1 is much easier to operate and latches shut, ventilation is better , and it's half the price.
The first full face helmet was made by Bell but the opening was way too small. I had one for 2 years and when I sold my Triumph 500 back in 72 the helmet went with the bike. And the helmet didn't have a visor. Yeah 1972 ...And you think you are talking retro.
Here in the UK the common usage of the word 'retro' describes something that is modern but designed to replicate something from the recent past. For a Bell helmet made in the 1970s, we describe it as 'vintage'. I love the small aperture aesthetic of those vintage Bell Star helmets!

Good simple straightforward review

Great video. You just got another subscriber. Good luck, mate.
The Shoei Glamster will be my number one :)

Thanks! I'm glad I was able to clarify the options for you.

Nice. I'm a Biltwell user.
Really pleased to see this, for I'm working through which would be the best upgrade, so this is a great help. Thank you.
I'm glad you found it informative. Stay tuned as there's plenty more to come.
La visuale come è con questi caschi?
Great range of reviews. There were a couple I did not know. What about the Araï Concept X ?
Thanks! Limiting the video to 10 helmets inevitably means some helmets are not included but can be in another video.

Great job. Amazing video
what happen to Biltwell Lane Splitter and Simpson Bandit ?
Limiting the video to 10 helmets inevitably means not all helmets can be covered. I can include them in another video.
do you know vox and marko ? (might be the same factory)
Any ideas what the Stormer Origin Full Face Helmet is like?
I don't know but it is made from polycarbonate and comes in only one shell size, hence the low price compared to other Bell Bullitt inspired helmets.
anyway you can fit a com system into the agv?
There's no provision for a com system built into the helmet.
How you feel about Daytona full face retro?

Gringo s dot certified only... So not road legal in EU?
Biltwell made an ECE version of the Gringo S, which is road legal in the EU.
I don't understand why helmets such as the Gringo (non S) uses buttons for a shield. It's destined to break, isn't it?
That's because it's based on the 1970s Bell Star 120 helmet and they're trying to keep the details authentic.

How about TORC helmet?
The Torc T-1 is a nice helmet. However, I didn't include it as it's closely based on the Bell Bullitt and I was limiting the list to 10 helmets.
