    Aww the little summer set label as a call back to what was written on the drawer when you first bought it was really a very lovely and cute detail. Nice lore in this video!

    Wow! My first thought after seeing the final, full frontal reveal was… this would be a great way to store clothing or linens in an office or other area without it being obvious that’s inside. Clever!

    What I love: the two-tone stain, the fake shadow line in the door front and the cleaning process. What I REALLY love: painting the dovetails. Looks great. The only recommendation I’d make is for the top. The rounded edge reeks of the 1980s. Since a classic overhanging top wouldn’t be possible without replacing the top, I think a 45*!chamfer would give a more historical feel. As is, though, fantastic!

    I really learnt a lot from this video. Thanks. The key to success was that the drawer fronts were solid so able to be rebated to look like two. Wouldn’t work with so many modern pieces where the drawer fronts are veneered. I recently picked up for £10 a Scandi 1950s small coffee table that belong to an OAP and which had a random piece of white laminate glued over the real maple top underneath. I did a pretty good job at removing and renovating but could have done better by using a brush and stain to disguise inherent damage.

      @flipitnation  Год назад

      Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, I am pleased you learned a few things, that is always rewarding for me. Wow, blows my mind that someone would put laminate over maple but I am pleased to you managed to bring it back, great effort!
