- After watching and breaking down the first few exhibition games for the 2024 Team USA men's basketball team, I can confidently say, I'm nervous. Can Team USA win gold as the entire world is gunning to dethrone the favorites!?
They cant underestimate any team because these duds have years of chemistry.
And all the other teams are starting to believe they can win gold!

Thanks really appreciate it. Ya I think the South Sudan game was a perfect example. Team USA happened to shoot poorly and Sudan shot well, made it go down to the wire. Would love to see Aus vs USA would be dope.
Team USA played better and caught up when LaBron was on the bench. His game winning shot he should've been flagged for blatant offensive foul and he was a defensive liability. I didn't notice this till I had muted the game and bias LaBron simp announcers didn't influence my POV. Then his flaws and inadequacies immediately came to light. It's going to be an issue and be the decisive factor why we get eliminated. The only question is who will be the team to upset Team USA
Will be interesting to see what the rotations actually look like when the games start.

USA Basketball believes that they can send a team full of shooters to outscore the opposition.
Other than maybe Jrue, White and AD nearly everyone else is a liability defensively.
The close game with South Sudan should be a wake up call that things are more dire than everyone is letting on.
I predict that team USA fails to win the gold.
I hope that it will be enough but if we do lose it may be the kick on the face our basketball system needs.
@@themidrange I think you were spot on in your assessment. Players of average talent or better, that are committed to play within a system can and often times will beat great talent that play without one.
I believe the fact that there are so many offensive skilled players on the US team without clearly defined roles is what will create the environment for a loss.

I never liked the "killer mentality" argument people over use, but in this case I think its a massive difference. The original dream team just never let off the gas, I know they were playing less talented teams than what we are playing today but they still ran up the score and asserted dominance every chance they got.
You're not even a real fan. The original Dream Team weren't even playing against real competition back then.
