The reason I said do not try this at home is because making the smoke bomb mix is pretty dangerous if not done right. I had a batch blow up in my face and burn my hand pretty bad. Also I said it as a disclaimer.
It would be a small help in a paintball match as a decoy and if multiple were fired at once it would be a good smoke screen. Also with only a small capsule it's quite a bit if smoke.

My favorite thing to do it to take 2 bottle caps, a paper sparkler, and a bunch of strong plastic masking tape, fill one cap with sparkler powder, punch a hole in the other cap just enough for a fuse, tape two sides together very strong, makes a nice pop and compresses powder for a nice little rocket action sometimes.
it is actually however u like, more sugar, less smoke, but bigger lenght of the fire, more potasium nitrate, more smoke, and smaller lenght of the fire, the best one is actually 50 to 50, cuz u really cant go wrong with 50 to 50, it will have some impressive smoke, and it (the sparkling(smoke prodoucing)) will last about 7 secs.
Try adding baking soda to the mix, that way your bials wont go flying like rockets. Also, the baking soda helps slow down combustion so it will give you a long and durable smoke cloud
You can do this with 60% Potassium Nitrate or stump remover which is high in it and 40% white sugar than put then together and cook them in a pan until it looks like cookie batter/ peanut butter.

Here's a better one, go online and buy 30% H2O2 from a healthstore if you can buy some Acetone there too if you can't buy that from a hardware store where you get your muriatic acid (HCl). Mix them together 50ml to 25ml to 5ml H2O2/acetone/HCl in a glass bowl and place that outside. Fuck safety procedure no gloves no glasses no ice-bath, because we're badass. Then once it's turned into white crystals pour it out through a filter and throw it against a wall. If you didn't loose a finger, repeat

Try cooking 30 gram of stump remover and 30 gram of sugar then pour it in a container
William Cordova Or, just buy potassium nitrate in bulk, it will be a lot cheaper. Also, more smoke will come from a 60/40 mixture.
