My wife of 51 years died in September, I have friends at the other end of the country who ring me to keep an eye on me. I even had one who rang my local pub landlady because they couldn’t get hold of me and asked her ifI had been seen around, so your support is appreciated believe me. Family and friends are very important to all of us. Help where you can and accept help if you need, sometimes it’s only a quick natter and coffee but every contact is valuable. Love your work by the way !

Kudos to you Nick for helping out a friend in a time of need. We all have wobble moments. Mental health is very important, be it yours or your familly or of a good friend. Your true fans or subscribers will understand. Take it one day at the time. Remember something as simple as a chat can really help.

Don’t worry Nick health comes first and should always come first. With the wall box I would have got a backplate for it and mounted all the parts and you could have used din rail connections and having single cores in it isn’t a problem the box is locked sticker on isolation elsewhere and 240v job done.

The bent in d line clips are excellent for horizontal runs a the corners of rooms as you can hook the cable in
I volunteer for a search and rescue team, we sometimes find and see things most people wouldn't want to, and we have a huge amount of support behind us when this happens.
Even then, with all that support, for some people it can be too much.
So, to find a friend like that... it will undoubtedly have had an effect on you and you probably won't have had the support you needed.
Take your time, talk to people if you need too and it's OK to not be OK.
I had a similar problem with wagos a couple of weeks ago, when changing lights in my church hall. I then wrapped the wago in insulation tape so that the levers can't spring open. 😅
Stuff happens in peoples lives, and youve helped that person with their upset, and youve slipped a bit down, it happens, youve chatted about it and as per usual us lot have responded with a listening ear, hopefully all the support youve got off strangers will help you and others,

I know it is easy for me to say this but try not to be so tough on yourself. Your mental health is the most important thing. You have experienced one of the most difficult things, the loss of a friend. I can relate to this, this isn't something that you can forget but it is something that I believe changes your mindset on looking out for others, which is a good thing. Continue to be you, you didn't mess up, everybody makes mistakes. Take care of yourself, your family and friends and again, try not to be too tough on yourself. You are doing great and your videos are fantastic.
You are a good friend Nick. Unfortunately most Friendships ive experienced over the years have been transactional. In that you have to have something they want in order to keep you around.
I’ve never understood that, surely a friend is just someone you can go meet at the pub or go a walk with from time to time?

Not sure if you’ve fixed the mistake , quinetic do a battery powered presence detector that will link to a wired receiver which in turn will power your drivers , sorted no wires no mess no one knows 👍

hear about the death of your friend several years ago, and also the current struggles with your other friend. I truly hope that the situation gets resolved and that your friend goes on to make a full recovery. I hope you look after yourself too. Times like these highlight the toll it can take on the person; physically, mentally and spiritually. Reality is, that God provides us with the strength, courage resilience to get through these trials. Placing all trust in Him and not relying on ourselves is how we make it through. Afterall, He created us and He knows what’s best for us. We just need to humble ourselves and fall on His Grace. He knows what we need, we just have to take our needs to Him in prayer and He will answer. Please do this in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We know you are driven and ambitious chap, but we won't miss you as much as your close ones if you disappear for few weeks because you need to take care of things. Nick, there's a saying in life, "Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today"... I don't say this about work stuff, and I don't know you or your circumstances beyond what you say here..... However, I do say it in that I would recommend you seek some support, possibly starting with the GP. You need to look after yourself as well. Don't put it off, think what you would say to yourself !! TC 👊
You messed up but owned up and put it right. Not many do in today's world. They charge you again twice and paper over the cracks. Stay safe and keep the content going 🫶
You could always just put them on a timer in box and have them on just at night.
I've used those pir s in the past and I found that they don't have much range when mounted side on. I put them on a wall in a corridor and the lights didn't come on until you were right near the sensor
Can you not use the two core twin and get one of those pirs that dont have a Nuetral connection and have a bettery instead?
Nick, you have no need to apologise for firstly helping and being here there for a mate/friend and secondly for struggling yourself. You are a true inspiration to be on an open platform and discuss it and being honest about how it affects you. Struggling myself a lot, I gain so much from seeing that by you speaking openly about mental health issues, has helped me and i'm sure others to let down barriers and in my case seek some help but just now knowing that speaking to someone really helps. Keep up being who you are and look after yourself, your family and your friends and hopefully by doing so they all look out for you.

I literally just finished watching another RUclips channel a guy who had gone quiet with videos and he basically had a tough few months with equipment failing that he uses and it was getting him down quite a lot and I said to him how, a lot of big trade RUclips channels all seem to have problems now and then and they all bounce back. The fact you can talk about it on here shows you are turning things around for the better. Not everything goes
Smoothly the first time, but you should feel confident that you can deal with these issues which you’ve shown in this video. This may sound like I’m downplaying how bad things may be for you, but the colder weather, less daylight really depresses me at times at it feels like everything is going wrong, maybe there is an unlucky time of year, but seeing you talk about it and then just crack in with your work I would say could inspire others like myself who have the winter blues to realise it’s just another bad patch, and I’m not alone.

nick, i have seen some bad stuff in my time so I know what it's like. you need some support. i am going to get tested for ptsd at some point - but seeing you go through a relive moment right on camera is a hard watch. with respect, see a dr when you're ready and mention it to them.

Hi mate. I’ve looked in on a few of your videos in the past. I’m a sparks too, and I always work alone, so it’s interesting for me to see how other people are doing things.
However, this isn’t really a video about electrics, it’s you communicating with the people who watch and follow you. I’m sure there are lots of benefits to doing what you do, but I urge a certain amount of caution, not through experience, but through anxiety about the direction we are heading in - social media pressures, becoming recognisable etc. In truth, I can’t think of many facets of modern life that feel like improvements to me.
Sounds like you’ve been through some tough times and it sounds like you’re a good friend.

Those niggly fault find/fix tasks never happen on warm sunny days, always when brain and fingers are cold, wet and miserable.
Sometimes, we give ourselves more stress than we need to, by trying to do too much. It’s hard to be okay with doing less, but we need to be kinder to ourselves when things start piling up. Have a better week Nick 👍
