Thanks once again for the Bosch bling Nick ol’ buddy. I hope your new sponsorship with Black & Decker works out! I’m happy to take over as the new foul-mouthed face of Bosch… although for some reason their marketing department aren’t exactly ringing my phone off the hook. Can’t imagine why. When I left education as a yoof and started in the adult workplace, I was both horrified and amazed that bad language was present & thriving and hadn’t been left behind at school. Some say swearing in these vlogs better represents life in the working environment we’re showing, others want the sanitised version to keep classrooms clean and sponsors sponsoring. For every three people who don’t like it, there’s one who does, so there’s an audience to be served which I’ll bravely take it on so popular people like you don’t have to! I recall Nagy’s video and the furore it caused in the comments exactly because his viewers weren’t expecting an aural assault, but I like a good curse word; I find profanity to be a wonderfully expressive extension to the King’s when handled properly. It also has the advantage of keeping the whining perma-offended Radio-6 listeners out of my comments section. If you want a giggle, when I was growing up (long before you were born), the morally outraged had their way with keeping bad language off TV meaning Hollywood films would be ruined by clunky overdubbing. Here’s a Harry Enfield sketch c1991 illustrating what it was like: ruclips.net/video/Ao4-ViMMlBg/видео.html
Can’t agree with you more, the unfiltered version of work life is much better, I got in trouble as a “yoof” in school for bad language and my excuse was it was builder language but that didn’t pass unfortunately. Its part of the real trade life weather people like it or not
@@MarcusHillElectricalI Disagree with you as much as you agree with Dave! 🤪
But I'm not going to say you are wrong, your opinion it's just different to mine. So many people like to complain about things they don't like (as Dave says) but the answer is easy for them... don't watch it.
Each to their own 👍🏻
@@_eusty It's too small an industry for everyone to be putting out the same stuff in the same way. A bit of variety and the viewers can decide what is, or isn't, their cup of tea.
Dave, if you didn't swear, you wouldn't be you, and it's you we love. Don't ever change (although we do wish you'd cut down on the booze a bit) 💖
Well said, with context. We keep trying to sanitize everything but then if we take it out of the movie nobody would watch the movie, so we have to sneakily put things in there that make no sense and have no context and don't really need to be there which kills the movie. We're going to the opposite extreme there's no substance because we can't do anything.
I stopped swearing in my videos very early due to people complaining that they couldn't watch my videos with the children about.
Spoke to Gaz and he gave me loads of great advice about RUclips, top fella!
Whenever I am using a drywall backbox I trace round a regular metal backbox then cut that out, much easier than tracing round a drywall backbox.
Good video Nick.
Partnership is with Cex. Every week they are going to send him a power tool to try from their 'stolen from a van' range.
CEX don't buy/sell power tools. You probably mean Cash Converters or Cash Generator who do.
@@gadgetman36 its a funny joke
I seem to recall Mr Nagy dropped the C-Bomb whilst he was doing an EICR and he dropped a wooden panel on his head. It came from out of nowhere and I still remember it, so your point about language is well founded. Whatever happened to his RUclips, not posted in ages.
that's the one, and no idea mate
He posts on insta regularly, also does fix radio. I think he just got really busy with the highways work and likely not worth his while doing RUclips. He also gave the impression in the couple of vids he did about the highways stuff that the client isn’t keen on it being on RUclips.
Rings a bell. Think the fuseboard was in a cupboard with a hidged door that opened upwards, and the strut snapped. Dropping the heavy door on the back of his head.
I remember that, wasn't little Naomi - I forgot her name working with him at the time. He was up the top of steps in on a landing if I remember rightly. Lucky it wasn't serious and he only dropped the C-Bomb, have had similar recently and it landed me in a&e.
Yeah he gave up RUclips because of Highways work taking over, rarely does domestic now only for a few clients from last I saw him in the wholesaler though that was quite a while back.
Swearing in video's don't make for great content,it will lose more views over Time.
Nice to see the house nearly done, from brick to finished looking great.
I find mirror fixings help when I have to screw something that might look unsightly. At least they have the chrome/satin head on them.
Nagy started off his channel and it was great, likely paved the way for many sparkies in fact.
However he started changing, he bacame a little bigheaded I felt and started looking down on the work that domestic sparks do. It just seemed like he wanted to slip into a management role as quickly as he could, he didn't seem to enjoy his job.
I always got the feeling that he was going to either become a millionaire or become bankrupt trying. He clearly wasn't happy being self employed, he had clear sights on running a big successful business. I hope he gets there, he did take a big gamble.
I used to like watching Tom. However, I too think he became bigheaded quickly. From what I could tell, and it is hard to tell really given we only see the RUclips stuff, his business was growing quickly but it didn't appear to me as if there was much of a business plan. Either that, or he was unable to manage its growth. One moment he seemed all in to the unit and building a big team with multiple vans and making a home there. The next minute, everything was sold off and he was all in to "highways" and so on. My personal view is that Tom was in love with the idea of being at the helm of a very successful big-profit making electrical business with all of the fancy gear. The reality, I suspect, is that he was desperately unhappy with it all.
I’d have definitely powered it up to check it worked before taking the grinder to it 😬😂
never thought of that lol
I was thinking the same 😀
Valid points. I don't like swearing unless it absolutely has context. "I just hit my hand with a hammer" yeah that makes sense. "I just do it because it's part of my vocabulary" that doesn't make sense well... it makes sense but it's a bad habit. Yeah David savory is a interesting channel but not for mass viewing.
And fortunately for myself the last 5 years have unfortunately necessary caused me to not care and swear and it's a habit I can't get out of easily.
But I'm at least contact contextually aware. But it's so annoying to watch movies and be like yeah they put the swear in there just for the ratings because nobody would watch the movie if it had good dialogue.
Swearing/using foul language is indeed never a good idea even though we might always fall into the trap occasionally. Apart from that, great video (apart from ditching Bosch ;), but I'm a pro-hobbyist so I don't get money off Bosch Blue).
Can that mirror cabinet be built fully into the wall? Really nice touch having the charger fixed in the cabinet like that, but slightly let down by the view of the side of it. Somewhat industrial looking compared to the luxury of the rest of the room
I thought that too. Looked like it meant to be recessed but depending on wall thickness the fixings may have come through other side of the wall?
That Britain allows electric showers but you have to have a special shaver socket for safety has always baffled me. 😂 Looks good, though!
Because a shaver socket isn’t directly connected to the mains due to the transformer inside.
I took one look at that bathroom and thought it was a tiled wall. I would have been worried about not breaking the mirror/glass. what was that extension you had for the hole cutter? One of those jobs that you have to take your time on.
Nice and clean Nick, That's how I like it, people of all ages can enjoy your videos and with no worries of word bombs dropping in,. That what's good about your videos, keep up the great work, have a good one👍
Hate click bate, thought you was better than that, please dont scoop that low (Really Big News...)
its not really clickbait, its pretty big news for Nick.
How is it click bait? Bosch has been a big sponsor of nick and now he’s leaving them and joining someone else (Milwaukee). Not really click bait is it
what? in what way is this clickbait?
Not clickbait but youtube search engine manipulation. I gave this video a thumbs down. The title should be informative, not like this.
Everyone does milwaki these days and each supplier is clearly driving the value of the product down for the margins available, it ain't worth it. I've dumped it as it was definitely a race to the bottom, profit wise.
Was fairly obvious it was the Bosch contract coming to an end when you announced a couple weeks back - I suspect Milwaukee given the rep a couple weeks ago in CEF saying they're looking to work with new partners and expand their tool range for the UK and European market.
Where can I get one of them toothbrush holder sockets from? Is there a specific name for them as I've looked on screwfix and can't see them
Try your local CEF
Override mirror switch and connect power supply to the bathroom lights. I can't think of an occasion when you may want bathroom lights on but not the mirror lights.
Nick, you are a brave lad installing that mirror along with the tooth brush charger. If it had been up to me, it would have been wildly butchered. Cheers mate.
Funny you say about the duel toothbrush holder..
I have been wanting to have one of those installed for about 2 years..
But never got around to requesting one to be installed..
For things like that, would you have us (the customer) purchase them, or would you purchase it as apart of the bill of materials?
Buy it your self mate- they cost a fair bit and you don’t want the mark up on it tradesmen do
@@NBundyElectrical Yeah, I've been following the price on Amazon for 2 years.. they fluctuate a bit, so I can wait til they go down..
I just didn't know if I did buy one, for then suddenly you go "sorry, I can't install something I didn't purchase" incase of it being broken or something dodgy or any other reason I can't think up.
LIDL's finally stumping up the cash to smother you in fantastic Parkside power tools? FANTASTIC!
We all know Aldi Workzone is superior to Parkside :)
@@dennis6442I had a £20 hammer drill from Aldi managed to do up my entire house with it chewed though joists and bricks not missing a beat. The thing that stopped me using it was the chuck lost its grip on the bits. I got way more than my £20 worth for sure.
@@dennis6442 Yeah, but Bundy isn't ALDI levels of famous yet 🤣
Why didn’t you take the door off? They are normally quick release. And it makes the job soooo much easier?
So were the 4 fixings just into plasterboard In the end with no rawl plug or anything. Seemed to hold well.
Really nice job Nick. Is it OK if I carry on using my Bosch screwdriver?
yes mate no problem
your new tool partnership can only be 1 of 3 best bet milwauki second guess hilti or parkside.
did you give it adam about drilling the cables 😂
Nice job Nick , But would it not have been easier taking the cabinet door off😂
Yea 🫣
Mr Milwaukee you have the load outs now have the tools by any chance 👍👍
All my working life was in building / construction so foul language was always heard and used by most , including myself. However i would never curse if i thought i might offend anyone. Keep on presenting the way you do, the viewing figures prove it works.👍
You widely get electric mirros with shaver sockets incorporated.
This one had it on the side
Ive just fitted a mirror with a toothbrush charger incorporated with in it........simples! lol
Ffs - wish I had known
Gonna become a Parkside Professional!!
Worse than swearing is hearing the horrible default Ring Doorbell chime as a motion alert! 😂😂
Changed mine cos I can’t stand it.
Thank you Nicholas, an honest production and a neat install. Mr Savery does it for the fun so not too bothered about the loss of monetnisation that I hear swearing on YT results in, but I may be wrong. Mr S can clarify if that is the case or not I am sure. You however, especially looking towards financial benefits from sponsorship will rightly be more concerned not to lose out, especially if your new sponsor is a USA brand like Dewalt or Milwaukee as it is important for them to be aligned with wholesome YT channels. I don't think it is Hilti as Jordan is with them and you would fit the Cory image Milwaukee have aligned with. Let's hope it's not Ryobi! 😂.... only joking, though DSES will still sing their praises. In any case, I think your channel is great and I wish you the best with whoever it is.
Is it black and decker?
That bedroom wall is incredible
😬
Hope you get a new sponsor soon, like Makita :)
get yourself a jigsaw with a metal blade drill 2 corners out and bosh!!!
100% agree with your stance on swearing.... one of the reasons I don't watch some sparky RUclips channels. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Now I saw an English shaver socket in a mirror cabinet in Germany. We don't have any plugs for it.
I thought you were going to announce going to work for Artisan but the bubble appears to have burst on EV charge point installations as he has turned into QVC
I rarely swear in everyday life, at least not in public to people I don't know. At home though, me and the other half have taken lessons from spending too much time with Mr Savery, I sometimes think 🤣 People mention kids; 'don't swear in front of the children' doesn't really wash with me; the average 12yr old knows more swear words than I do, and aren't afraid to use them.
i totaly agree mate swairing is ok but kids fam and wifeee time yes your 100% spot on not enjoyable when your always thinking from there point of view... everyone finds it much more funny when you/a treidey dont swair when we all know what he would of said if not on cammra. thanks for your on going work content nick and yes im still waighting for a free folding unilight??
Adams mum needs more tool variety and milwaukees bedroom range fits the bill 😂
Personally I would of taken the mirror door off and stored it save somewhere
Those types of cabinets are supposed to be set into the wall.
As a fellow Stokie, swearing is part of our core vocabulary 😂, however, I rarely swear and I agree you should keep it out of your videos.
Keep up the great work, and maybe one day I will get you in for some work 👍
Top tip, if you can, take the door off, much easier to mount etc
I has going too but forgot too
Corr the packout addiction is becoming a Milwaukee one
I announce motocross races and never even use "hell" or "damn" on the mic. However, I took am really bad with f-bombs in real life. That from 12+ years in the military, and working as an electrician for many years.
I had some riders ask how I avoided swearing on-mic, I told them I don;t want to ever figure it out as that will allow that filter to fail me at the wrong time.
Unfortunately our trades over here have been taken over by delicate little flowers and I have gotten in a LOT of trouble for language that used to be perfectly ok. (I did ALWAYS watch language when the clients or other non tradespeople were around.)
At long last Milwaukee coming through for you, you’ve given them enough free publicity with all the Packout gear. I don’t think anyone would blame you for jumping ship if it makes financial sense for you and your family.
You need to be careful of that " 12 volt plasterboard " at 6.50 Nick.
I get the swearing thing. I'm 60 - so ancient - and coming up through the trade tend to be a wee bit sweary. In Scotland, we use the C-bomb as punctuation, a term of endearment, an adjective, and very occasionally an insult. Most people find it offensive, and probably should. I now work in a university, where foul language is not the norm, so have to be very selective in my tirades.
Don't explain yourself in terms of money/sponsorship etc. It's no-one's business really except yours. I used Makita equipment when I was on the tools, and would have jumped at the opportunity to be sponsored. I still have a Makita drill, which my Wife calls Trigger's broom. I have owned it since 1985, and in that time it has had 3 new chucks, 4 sets of brushes, 2 triggers and a new armature. But it's still the same drill.
Look after yourself, invest in a good pension, plan for the day you can't keep working on the tools.
The custome should peel the cover off the mirror, I would freak if a contractor did that without my permission..Enjoy working with Dewalt tools mate 😅...Remember you have to look after you and your family first, if another tool manufacturer offers more money, you go with the cash..good luck.
Nice job Nick
Having given Dave a load of Bosch kit after his van theft is this an opportunity for their 'influencing' to go in a rather different direction?
If not swearing was a condition for you tube sparkies...we,ed never have heard of Dave Savery 😂 and your right....it adds nothing to any channel
having seen a few dave savery and jamie blantant videos where they are quite polite with no swearing its not quite the same. it loses its character.
how did you install the toothbrush charger you only showed the finish haven't learned anything, teach us something like the other electricians.
Are we getting a new van tour.
I’ve been blessed with a new van coming in next week so I would love some inspiration from the grandmaster
I’ve seen the latest one u have done btw 🤩
And Adam’s !
New Hilti tools on the way then, Nick?
Milwaukee
gd luck on ur transition, i no ull make a fantastic woman
😂😂😂
I would have told the customer to buy one with an integrated charger socket.
Have you gone down the Hilti route and joined Jordan?
Come on mate your better than that
@@NBundyElectrical You're even but hey hey, I know that you are dyslexic with wurds. I Sexlystic, I get it wrong all the time too!

I’m talking about the metal cabinet with integral tooth brush charger..😉
At 7:40 the camera was shaking but looked like the wall was 😅
i stick Davo Savo on full blast.. annoys the neighbours 🤣
New red van next then .... 🥸
👀
Oh no not Milwaukee!!!!
You don't need to swear, as you say it doesn't add anything.
That said I think the whole "don't swear around kids" thing is a bit of nonsense, they are going to pick words up eventually as long as they know when it's appropriate to swear or not it's not the end of the world. I was f-ing and blinding from about 8 but I knew not to do it around parents/adults/teachers etc. They're just words. I have a 12 year old and she's lovely and kind and polite and I have sworn a couple times in front of her without thinking. She's not stupid.
It's Flexicon isn't it 😂👊
You got me
Milwaukee incoming le boshhhh
These new mirrors are a nightmare. Just a cable sticking out of the top! You need the mirror before second fix.
Sure hope that customer doesn’t change their mind about that cabinet now, big hole in the wall 😂😂
It sounds like you're happy to promote whatever you're paid to promote, regardless of whether it's a good product. For example NAPIT insυrance is a third cheaper than Rhino and you don't need to be a member, as recently pointed out by David Savery (DSES). I thought you had more integrity than that Nick.
No idea why Dave’s quote was higher , I’ve spoken to the rhino team and they said it’s the cheapest going. Other than that please tell me other things I have promoted where I don’t have any integrity… anything I have ever promoted I would have brought with my own money
@@NBundyElectrical You were paid by Bosch to promote their power tools, now you're switching brands. It sounds like the highest bidder wins. I'm not having a go, I just don't understand, apart from the obvious money aspect. It isn't just you, eFIXX promote everything companies pay them to promote. As a viewer I can't trust any recommendation on RUclips because they are all paid promotions. This means that the channel is biased towards the product because they're being paid to say it's good, even if it isn't (lack of integrity).
It’s Hilti isn’t it 👀
Behave mate
When you have kids. People who swear are a bit of a pain. I end up having to find other things to watch and go back later to watch the others when the kids are in bed. I like watching The professional struggler, but no chance when kids are still up.
I kept thinking, Nick will have a brain storm in a minute and take the door off. Alas, he never did.
I didn’t 😅😅😭
It won't be dewalt for obvious reasons, doubt it will be makita because their reputation speaks for itself and they dont need to third party promotion, that leaves hikoki and metabo, again not a wide range of tools or you tube investment. So that leaves Milwaukee who are aggressively promoting their products on you tube construction related channels atm. And give their promoters loads of free stuff.......or Hilti (far too expensive)
He's finally going to the DeWalt world.
Ohno .. my eyes hurt from to much red colored tools on youtube... please blur them. Or paint them blue
..please tell me you are not going to make any more you tube videos!
Team Red all day long 👌😎
I only watch savory for the swearing
I’ve played it a few times and I’m sure you swear at around 6 minutes which is funny given what you say around swearing on your videos 🤣
A racist light! Come back every time nick, I probably would have done what you have done for that toothbrush charger. But excellent work.
With regard to the swearing some companies might not be too happy with the f bombs etc if they are sponsering.
Personally I'm not fussed if you do or not Dave Savery tells it how it is on his channel and most people know it is a not safe for kids/wife/gran etc channel wouldn't be the same without the profanities.
Another life story, somebody show me
Oh man have I got a comment for you. Stay tuned, I'll be releasing it soon. It's gonna shock you, you're not gonna believe it.
Nahhhh make that money
