I drive an actual mack pinnacle for work and gotta say they did a pretty damn good job as far as accuracy on the interior, mine is also a 12 speed automatic, but engine brake on it is so weak because its electric and not exhaust type
Wow Jeff that button box is pretty close to the real thing. You really could not get any closer without having the entire dash board of a truck. So that's pretty awesome.
Oh man the wheel cam as well as the ASP controller just increased the amount of epicness on American Truck Sim episodes! Love to watch your Am Truck Sim videos like this Jeff. Happy New Year!
2 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BUYING. I actually got myself one of these and the only two complaints are is that it’s really small. Like I’d say the video doesn’t do it justice, I thought it’d be bigger. 2: it’s relatively light. Unless you rest it against a wall or something, if you push a button or flick a switch it will push it around. Otherwise it’s a great buy
I was Hesitating before buying one. Because I saw this was also on CSIO website. And the whole deal with CSIO made me not purchased one. But I hope this is a reliable company and standby with there customers. I will be giving them my business. And be purchasing one for my very own.
Love the wheel view as a truck driver myself it makes it more realistic when I can see you actually shifting gears and hitting switches very nice touch to your video
As a truck driver that lives where the shipper is located, I thoroughly enjoyed this. I appreciate the amount of effort you go through to put yourself in the seat, so to speak. Keep up the good work! Subscribed.
I wanted one until I saw the price. It is worth maybe half that... $125 tops, with free shipping. You could build your own for maybe $60. I built a 10 button, button box by myself (videos on youtube how to do it) for about $20. I want to make another with a key and the two air buttons at some point.
I drive a 2011 Mack pinnacle and the back light where the switches are, they are actually blue. I don’t know if every Mack truck is like that but it’s different and I like it!!
In my opinion the camera would work better on your right side and you could get everything in one shot. And I'm wondering if you could move the box closer to you eventually to avoid body movement and interfering with paying attention to the road. Great video and I'm loving the new box.
Hey Jeff, don't know if you'll see this, but I've been watching all your truck sim vids when I get a chance after my 2nd shift job @ Mack Trucks. This one is special to me, because I actually help assemble and work on the American Icon Mack in Macungie, PA. I take pride in what I do. Love seeing these trucks drive off the line, and then piggybacked to the dealer/customer.That pinnacle is the old model. The newer model pinnacle has the upgraded interior to match the new Mack Anthem. Hopefully someone adds the Anthem in the game @ some point. Anything you'd like to know or see I'll gladly help out.
L3ATHALBEAST69 I don’t drive a Mack unfortunately (2019 Kenworth T680) but man do I love seeing the new and old Mack’s. By far one of my favorite trucks on the road today. I appreciate what you do man!

I'm on the search for the original sketch to reprogram one. Also, I'm looking to make my own switch box, but using authentic switches from a Freightliner Century Class dash.

I custom made my own box for games... mine can have up to 54 buttons/switches and 16 axis on top of that. made from a reprogrammed Arduino and 3D printed parts. My truck shift knob for my g27 was 3D primted and is tied into the box as well. switches in correct place for range and splitter. everything all in one unit. A HELL of alot cheaper than 250 dollars plus whatever you paid for the skrs shifter..
If you have the skills then yes, building your own saves money. But for the price your paying (I used to run a set up similar to Jeff's a couple years back) just I didn't have the button box. The SKRS shifter is great for this game imo..js ain't tryna start shit or nothing like the such

you can, you have to select advanced in the transmission settings. It's not the best because you can't actually feel if you've successfully shifted or not. I would recommend getting the no grinds mod as well as configuring the transmission settings.

No, you see the heat shields on several trucks depending on how the mirrors are adjusted. KW T-800 and T-880, Freightliner M2 Business class, Mack Granite and CH600. The button box does look cool, but most truck manufactures differ greatly on how they have things like; lights, wipers and other functions. The shifter itself is a Thrustmaster TH8A. The knob for 18 speed trans is bought from CSIO, back when they did legit business. Do NOT buy from them, you WON'T get your product, there are several other options to go with.
