I’m a real life trucker. I go through Utah all the time. One of my favorite states to drive through. As much as the game can be this is pretty spot on. It’s gorgeous.

I live in Salt Lake but what I love about Utah is how diverse it is, southern Utah is some of the most beautiful desert scenery and northern gives you the amazing rocky mountains, and the lakes are awesome! The Salt Lake used to be awesome before it shrunk.
The devs put a lot of time into this. I can tell. It's so accurate that it scares me. And it really creates that "Utah feel". Love it.

I was just in Vegas a few weeks ago and did this same drive in real life.... the accuracy of the modeling in nevada and utah is SPOT ON

I have family in Utah and went to BYU there, so I'm really enjoying this DLC. I had a mission companion from Hurricane, Utah. Surprisingly, the locals pronounce it Hur-ri-kin. I had another companion from Cedar City, Utah. (Pronounced just like the tree; nothing strange there! LOL!) Yeah, Utahns definitely accentuate the 'a' in Moab, Americanized 'aa' sound. I've been hiking there; it is beautiful. My aunt lives in Grand Junction, Colorado, so it is cool they included it on the sign. There are other towns I really wish I could drive through, like where family and friends live.
Utahns often complain about the roadwork, as there always seems to be roadwork somewhere on the highways. Going from Provo to Salt Lake City, there is a spot where the mountain is cut for the road called 'Point of the Mountain.' It's tough to drive, especially during the icy roads in winter because the wind can get really strong there. I've seen cars and trucks in the ditches between the roads in the snow.

Hey Jeff I’m a trucker and that Utah is very accurate.. the detail in this game is unmatched.
I live in the Salt Lake valley, but ive seen most of the state and thats pretty accurate.
I used to live in Salt Lake City, Utah. St. George was well represented. I'm soooo stoked for this to come out.
Real life trucker here Jeff, and the details of Utah is spot on, beautiful state to drive throughz and big thumbs up for running with a W900 all time favorite truck. I'm in T680 right now, but hopefully make my way up to W900. Awesome video as always Jeff, and great job on the blind side backing.
I love whenever theres a new DLC and that feeling you get when you pass the port of entry! Its a one of a kind feeling to ATS players haha Because you know you waited soo long for the DLCS

Used to live in Utah miss having mountains in my backyard. It accurate from what I remember it growing up. Can't wait to buy Utah DLC and salivating for Colorado next year 😛
Nick K is it definitely Colorado? I expected either Idaho or Colorado, but leaning towards Idaho first as it has borders with 4 existing States and squares off the current map nicely.

Thank you for the first look for Utah. Jeff, your videos are well done and enjoyable to watch. I actually only play with the outside view. Since I play, drive, with the keyboard and mouse, I find this easier. Anyway, you drive well. I respect your positive attitude for your channel and for this game, in particular. I've left Vegas and gone up the virginnriver canyon countless times in a truck. They did a nice job scaling it down and giving that essence. If anyone wants to see what it's really like to climb it in a truck, I have a video on my channel from the base up past the POE.
They also did an excellent job recreating the drive up I70. Brings back memories for sure.
Utah is the most diverse ecosystem within one border anywhere. The only two it doesn’t have is ocean and rainforest. High desert, low desert, tundra, alpine forest, basin and range, everything you can imagine.
It is very accurate! I live in Utah, up in the northern part, and they captured the "feel"... the style of the off ramps with the xeriscaping, the thick sagebrush, the rocks, the soil... it's amazing! The drive along I-70 is spot on especially around Richfield and Salina. In fact, Salina canyon, the stretch of I-70 just after Salina going east towards Green River and Grand Junction, is one of my favorite sections of road to drive. It has gorgeous scenery and the road is well built/beautifully paved with big sweeping corners.

Im a real truck driver and I did a run about a week ago up to Kent, WA from San Antonio, TX and back, driving through 191 through Moab and up to Salt Lake is my favorite part of the route and that little section from I-70 to 191 into Moab is really accurate
I literally drive the same route you drove in St George everyday! So cool to see Utah and especially st George utah In ATS!

I lived in Cedar City, which was above St George and Hurricane (pronounced huracan) it's fairly accurate with scenery. Coldest fricken place I've ever been holy crap. Running cattle in Enoch with a 12° high temp on horseback. Talk about character building. Loved this Jeff thank you !

Well I'm a trucker with C.R. England and I run out of Utah and it looks kinda like Utah but could be a bit better but great to keep seeing you play American truck simulator. Still here watching.
They should have a challenge where it snows in SLC and everyone starts going 20mph with their hazards on 😂

Wow this is surprisingly accurate! Might have to but this, I love driving to Utah.
I made the drive to Moab during the summer and I can say that is quite accurate. They did very well with their design.
About 4 years ago, I took a week long vacation visiting the Big/Mighty 5. One of my favorite trips, BTW. It's pronounced "Moe Ab".
It's moe-abb it's like the #1 place in the U.S. for mountain bikers also a huge place for rock crawling and offroading.

I'm a real trucker and my company terminal is in Utah and it's pretty accurate especially the port of entry. I wonder if they modeled devil's slide in Morgan Utah. That's a pretty cool area to drive thru with the mountains on one side and the train tracks on the other.
The only thing that dissapoints me is that moab is not a very big town at all. They could have easily put much more detail into this city and made it much closer to real life. The city is like 6-9

I'm from Grand Junction Colorado, traveled I-70 to Moab (pronounced Mo-ab) and south to Arizona more times than I can count. Though I typically take the Cisco exit through the canyon along the Colorado River because it's less boring. Seems fairly accurate considering how much they shrink everything down for the game.
Hey Jeff you should stop at rest areas maybe half way through your trip to show them off next time. Love the videos

Using an Almar SKRS MAN version myself. It's expensive but absolutely worth it. Extremely good quality and works like a charm. Think it's almost the same as yours even
hah they have Kanab. when we were kids, my parents used to have us stay in Kanab, Utah and visit all the national parks nearby. Zion, Bryce, Cedar Breaks, Grand Canyon, etc...
I love watching these to see what I'm missing but at the same time I want to wait so I can experience it for myself.

Lol - Not trying to sound critical or harsh...hahahahah But I never heard in all my years 20 years over the road heard of honking your horn 3 times while backing up as it was your G.O.A.L (get out and look) to have situational awareness (must be a new thing within the last 10 years)... but was taught you always use your 4 ways while backing up. Not to mention anyone trained to work a dock or be around a rig know that you treat them all like they are going to move at any time and that if you don't see the driver in the mirrors then he can't see you. as far as gates in all the places I have delivered there is at least a driveway you can pull off the road... But for a game, it looks very neat and awesome! Defiantly will be watching more video and following this!

The Loves in Cedar Exit 62 is accurate. The other side approaching Cedar City from the north on the big sign says Festival City USA
