  • In this video we walk through the OEM steps to replace the rear brakes on a 2015 Dodge Durango RT. We also show how to remove a stuck brake rotor, compress the rear caliper piston, and the importance of opening the brake reservoir cap. In addition, we provide every torque spec for each bolt and talk about how you can tell if your Durango has the regular or heavy-duty brakes to ensure you buy the right rotors. This process is the same for various other Dodge and Jeep vehicles including the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Great video, thank you. Where do you find the torque specs for your vehicle? I have a 2016 4Runner I need a brake job on

Typically I work on GM vehicles which I have access to GM service info which includes all the torque specs. For this Dodge, I had to look them up online. I did a quick search for your 4runner, looks like the caliper mounting bolts are 91 ft lbs for the 17mm bolts and 137 for the 19mm bolts. Also you can always call your local dealership, ask for the parts dept and give them your vin and they should be able to provide you any torque spec you need. Hope this helps.
