I left the traditional church many years ago and I have never looked back. Some of the most ugly mean spirited and judgemental people come out of the traditional church. Way to much judgement, criticism and predjudice blinding the light of God to those seeking through the church. I have no need to argue the word of God with anyone. My commitment is to love and treat all people with loving kindness and to walk out my own salvation. I attended his church in Tulsa, OK in the early 1980s. Years later, when I lived in San Antonio, TX, he visited the church I was attending and recognized my family. I ended up leaving the church because of hypocrisy and power plays, which, by the way, were the most prolific I have ever witnessed. I think he is 100% on target and I can't wait to see the movie. I love and respect him.
The church is angry at Carlton because he really "exposed" the church for who they are. Most "so-called" christians are "mean, hateful, backbiting, two-faced" and most are not sure where they stand with God. I am proud of him because he knows who he is.

I use to leave church saying -I don’t know why so many people are worried about hell because it seems like the majority of the Christian church is already in it. I truly believe there is another story! False teachers have the same pattern when they're called out on their heresy. 1) They start to question the scriptures and its inerrant truth, sufficiency, and inspiration (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and replace it with their own understanding, vain deceit, and philosophies of man (which Colossians 2:8 and Proverbs 3:5 warns against). They then start bringing these questionable doubts into their preaching and teaching, trying to lead people in the church astray. 2) When church authority start to question sound doctrine and examine the qualifications/duties of bishops/pastors/elders (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, Ephesians 4:11-16, and 1 Peter 5:1-3) and find the preacher or teacher is false, they rightly go to him to correct them. This is when the false teacher plays the victim card and says the church turned on him, when in reality, the false teacher/preacher turned from God (1 John 2:19). 3) Next, the false teacher goes out to the world to bad mouth the church and tell all type of stories about how wicked, hateful, and hypocritical they are while they were the pillar of "truth." The church was wrong and he was right, but the church was too dogmatic and stubborn to know this. If only they would add or take away from the Word of God (which Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32, Proverbs 30:6, and Revelation 22:18-19 warns against), then the church would have it "right" like the false teacher. Yet the world eats it up because they are unsaved and want a God that isn't holy, righteous, or just in punishing sin. 4) The false teacher tells his "story" to the unsaved world, gets their sympathy, then makes big bucks slandering the Bible, Christians, and certain churches (particularly the ones he preached at) by making a movie or writing a book. He will say its compensation for everything he's lost (since the church took everything from him), but doesn't mention that a true Biblical church would never stray away from the Word of God, because they are commanded/encouraged to preach the truth in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:1-4 warns about this because the time will come that people will want preachers that tickle their ears with unbiblical fantasies and falsehoods). Sad end of the story; a false convert that became a false preacher that is now a raging heretic leading lost people astray by misrepresenting God, sin, hell, and salvation in Jesus Christ. This man needs salvation and anyone under him needs it as well.

I'm confused? Bishop Pearson spoke at Bishop Flunder's Fellowship years ago and I attended just after he was "excommunicated" for a lack of a better explanitory term and was embrased by her and her fellowship. Here Bishop Pearson is using the words of St. Paul to defnd or support his position. Bishop Flunder denounces the words of St. Paul and excludes his writngs as discedible. So who can they agree? Again I am confused here?

I grew up in pentecostal church, I can't stand judgmental ppl. I still love, Bishop Carlton Pierson. He can sing his behind off and he has been a trailblazer in the ministry of the gospel. He made an error as we all have. He should have had a break when his Uncle Quincy died and other events happened. He couldn't understand how ppl who could suffer in Africa and die of hunger could go to hell, even if they hadn't sought God. He was depressed and started questioning things, even God. He spoke aloud what was in his mind, a big mistake. He was put on a cross. He was judged instead of getting therapy. He is still the same man, just made an error. Some Christians judge harshly and will dispose of you. That is what happens oftentimes. I will NEVER point my finger and judge that man, because I was NOT in God shoes. I am hurting in my heart for this man

"Your own salvation" will fall short if it's not grounded in what Jesus established. You have to interact with people in the body in order to grow.

I ended up leaving the church because of hypocrisy and power plays, which, by the way, were the most prolific I have ever witnessed. I think he is 100% on target and I can't wait to see the movie. I love and respect him.
The church is angry at Carlton because he really "exposed" the church for who they are. Most "so-called" christians are "mean, hateful, backbiting, two-faced" and most are not sure where they stand with God. I am proud of him because he knows who he is.

Carlton, great enlightenment. Since a young Child, I’ve always questioned the beliefs, and practices of the traditional church. I use to leave church saying -I don’t know why so many people are worried about hell because it seems like the majority of the Christian church is already in it. I truly believe there is another story! It’s a shame to see all these judge mental traditionalist jumping up ,shouting, and speaking in foreign tongue’s; leave the church the same way they entered, lost, confused, broken, and bitter, not to mention often broke. Again, keep doing what you’re doing. Many of us are listening and glad to hear someone making more sense of things.

False teachers have the same pattern when they're called out on their heresy.
1) They start to question the scriptures and its inerrant truth, sufficiency, and inspiration (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and replace it with their own understanding, vain deceit, and philosophies of man (which Colossians 2:8 and Proverbs 3:5 warns against). They then start bringing these questionable doubts into their preaching and teaching, trying to lead people in the church astray.
2) When church authority start to question sound doctrine and examine the qualifications/duties of bishops/pastors/elders (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, Ephesians 4:11-16, and 1 Peter 5:1-3) and find the preacher or teacher is false, they rightly go to him to correct them. This is when the false teacher plays the victim card and says the church turned on him, when in reality, the false teacher/preacher turned from God (1 John 2:19).
3) Next, the false teacher goes out to the world to bad mouth the church and tell all type of stories about how wicked, hateful, and hypocritical they are while they were the pillar of "truth." The church was wrong and he was right, but the church was too dogmatic and stubborn to know this. If only they would add or take away from the Word of God (which Deuteronomy 4:2, 12:32, Proverbs 30:6, and Revelation 22:18-19 warns against), then the church would have it "right" like the false teacher. Yet the world eats it up because they are unsaved and want a God that isn't holy, righteous, or just in punishing sin.
4) The false teacher tells his "story" to the unsaved world, gets their sympathy, then makes big bucks slandering the Bible, Christians, and certain churches (particularly the ones he preached at) by making a movie or writing a book. He will say its compensation for everything he's lost (since the church took everything from him), but doesn't mention that a true Biblical church would never stray away from the Word of God, because they are commanded/encouraged to preach the truth in season and out of season (2 Timothy 4:1-4 warns about this because the time will come that people will want preachers that tickle their ears with unbiblical fantasies and falsehoods).
Sad end of the story; a false convert that became a false preacher that is now a raging heretic leading lost people astray by misrepresenting God, sin, hell, and salvation in Jesus Christ. This man needs salvation and anyone under him needs it as well.

For you to list all the things one is supposed to do to be righteous before God, you pretty much believe that what Jesus did was not enough. You're trying to justify yourself by works. Jesus confronted Saul, who later became Paul on the road to Damascus in Acts 9. He converted Paul and commissioned him to spread the gospel to non Jews, ie Gentiles. This is written in scripture. In Acts 11:26, the disciples were called Christians, which simply means followers of Jesus Christ and those that adhere to his teachings.

The works of the Law is not the path to salvation. Faith in the lamb, Jesus Christ is what saves us.

I'm confused? Bishop Pearson spoke at Bishop Flunder's Fellowship years ago and I attended just after he was "excommunicated" for a lack of a better explanitory term and was embrased by her and her fellowship. Here Bishop Pearson is using the words of St. Paul to defnd or support his position. Bishop Flunder denounces the words of St. Paul and excludes his writngs as discedible. So who can they agree? Again I am confused here?

I grew up in pentecostal church, I can't stand judgmental ppl. I still love, Bishop Carlton Pierson. He can sing his behind off and he has been a trailblazer in the ministry of the gospel. He made an error as we all have. He should have had a break when his Uncle Quincy died and other events happened. He couldn't understand how ppl who could suffer in Africa and die of hunger could go to hell, even if they hadn't sought God. He was depressed and started questioning things, even God. He spoke aloud what was in his mind, a big mistake. He was put on a cross. He was judged instead of getting therapy. He is still the same man, just made an error. Some Christians judge harshly and will dispose of you. That is what happens oftentimes. I will NEVER point my finger and judge that man, because I was NOT in God shoes.
