Loving him is fine. But speaking out against his anti gospel heresy is something we are called upon by the word to do. He's not just wrong on some doctrine. He spent his career over the last 2 decades telling people the Bible isn't literally true. That there's no hell. That God not only wants us to love the sinner, but to tell the sinner he's not really sinning. He believed Jesus wasn't the only way to salvation. Treating someone with human dignity is one thing. I would never advocate protesting his funeral, or harassing his family. But his terrible message needs to be called out every time a believer has a chance to call it out. Everything he preached in his later years made a mockery of the death of Jesus and the scriptures. Sounding "nice" isn't worth disobeying the word and not calling out deadly, dangerous, and tragically harmful doctrine. This unwillingness to call sin, sin. This push to make the church more marketable to the modern congregation and to modern society has diluted the message that used to bring people into the church. Churches are closing at an insane rate. We need churches that preach the gospel and don't make apologies for the parts of scripture that don't align with modern sensibilities. We weren't called to great commission to change the message to make it sound nicer. We were called to tell people the TRUTH of the gospel. To make sure people know that the unmitigated WRATH OF GOD is coming for those that deny his son Jesus as being the only way to salvation. And those that were not hot, nor cold, but lukewarm, and try to preach a dumbed down, redacted version of the gospel will have to answer for the souls they led astray. Carlton Pearson had to face Jehovah God himself and answer for telling people there is no hell and that gay people weren't living in sin and didn't need to change. You shouldn't be celebrating this man. Your heart should be crying and GRIEVING for his lost soul! You do people like him ZERO favors by being nice. People get caught up in emotions and memories. I'm not one of them and I'm glad you aren't either. If you warn the wicked or the righteous, and they do not turn from their wickedness they will die in their sins. Ezekiel 3:18-21 May he turn back fully to the LORD, before its too late.

Folks judge him because of the things that they have been taught and accustomed too through the ages. His book is powerful and a great read. I highly recommend reading it. This goes against the scriptures. “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? I have a Question, just being curious. How come only a Black Church has a Bishop with out presiding over several other Churches of the same Denomination in the same area? Because that is what being a Bishop is. Being in charge of the other Pastors of the same Denomination in a particular area. So does one just Ordain oneself to be a Bishop? Just curious!

Another gospel: Carlton began to preach a Universal Redemptive Doctrine of inclusion. A view which holds that all will be saved regardless of their commitment to Jesus Christ. There is no such doctrine in the Holy Bible. All must receive Christ Jesus, as their Lord and Savior (God's Gift of Grace) through faith, belief, and confession, in order to be redeemed by Jesus' holy shed blood on the Cross. That's the only way to receive salvation and eternal life with Christ. Accepting God's offer for forgiveness of sin through Jesus. His blood was Holy, because He had no earthly father. Preaching, teaching another gospel: "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ," (Galatians 1:6,7). "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him," (2 Corinthians 11:4). Paul is speaking to those who are listening to false teachings, heresy and questioning why are they so easily deceived into hearing another gospel that they have not preached by the Holy Ghost. Why they would bear or put up with someone teaching false doctrine so easily. Born-again Christians must align themselves to the teachings of Christ. Jesus is the Logos (the Living Word of God). We are to preach/teach His gospel. You are in danger of hell fire, if you preach another gospel, "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book," (Revelation 22:19). God exalts His Word above His name, "...praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name," (Psalms 138:2). God and His Word is immutable. He's the same yesterday, today and forever. He changes not. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth...," (Romans 1:16). The Church should be correcting false prophets and false teaching; blasphemy. Salvation: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me," (John 14:6). "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved," (Romans 10:13). "Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole.... Loving him is fine. But speaking out against his anti gospel heresy is something we are called upon by the word to do. He's not just wrong on some doctrine. He spent his career over the last 2 decades telling people the Bible isn't literally true. That there's no hell. That God not only wants us to love the sinner, but to tell the sinner he's not really sinning. He believed Jesus wasn't the only way to salvation. Treating someone with human dignity is one thing. I would never advocate protesting his funeral, or harassing his family. But his terrible message needs to be called out every time a believer has a chance to call it out. Everything he preached in his later years made a mockery of the death of Jesus and the scriptures. Sounding "nice" isn't worth disobeying the word and not calling out deadly, dangerous, and tragically harmful doctrine. This unwillingness to call sin, sin. This push to make the church more marketable to the modern congregation and to modern society has diluted the message that used to bring people into the church. Churches are closing at an insane rate. We need churches that preach the gospel and don't make apologies for the parts of scripture that don't align with modern sensibilities. We weren't called to great commission to change the message to make it sound nicer. We were called to tell people the TRUTH of the gospel. To make sure people know that the unmitigated WRATH OF GOD is coming for those that deny his son Jesus as being the only way to salvation. And those that were not hot, nor cold, but lukewarm, and try to preach a dumbed down, redacted version of the gospel will have to answer for the souls they led astray. Carlton Pearson had to face Jehovah God himself and answer for telling people there is no hell and that gay people weren't living in sin and didn't need to change. You shouldn't be celebrating this man. Your heart should be crying and GRIEVING for his lost soul! You do people like him ZERO favors by being nice. Dear God have mercy on the soul of anyone that thinks Carlton Pearson was ok.

I have a Question, just being curious.
How come only a Black Church has a Bishop with out presiding over several other Churches of the same Denomination in the same area? Because that is what being a Bishop is. Being in charge of the other Pastors of the same Denomination in a particular area. So does one just Ordain oneself to be a Bishop?

Calton is one of those whose foundation was more on th COGIC denomination than Christ. He was raised in 'church culture' but was never grounded in Christ.

You are in danger of hell fire, if you preach another gospel, "And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book," (Revelation 22:19).
God exalts His Word above His name, "...praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name," (Psalms 138:2). God and His Word is immutable. He's the same yesterday, today and forever. He changes not. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth...," (Romans 1:16). The Church should be correcting false prophets and false teaching; blasphemy.
Salvation:
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me," (John 14:6).
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved," (Romans 10:13).
"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole.... Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved, " (Acts 4:10 - 12). God is Holy. God will not dwell in the midst of what He came to die for; Sin.
