Dan Wheldon Looking Back on his 2003 Indy 500 Flip

Late in the 2003 Indy 500, Dan Wheldon made an aggressive move to block Sam Hornish and lost control in turn 3. The car hit the wall and flipped over. After walking away completely uninjured, Wheldon took the blame for the crash. Running 6th at the time, the wreck cost Wheldon a chance at being named Indy 500 rookie of the year.
