So tired of people doxxing ppl they disagree with like that says anything other than they’re having an infantile tantrum that someone doesn’t have the same opinion as them 💀💀💀 it’s like shooting someone’s dog after having a minor disagreement with the owner; like what the fuck were you thinking? Do you have any conflict resolution skills at all? Why do you think that endangering someone’s life and family is a gotcha in an argument?

And this is over her asking her ~2k Tumblr followers to report for harassment the video in which he insults her looks etc. and implies she's going to ruin her young viewers' lives, under the guise of "truth", "science", "proper research", while he purposefully cuts out parts of *sentences* to misrepresent what she said.
I'm tired of people pretending these are equally valid viewpoints or strategies, or that one is on the side of "facts" and the other of emotions, this dude has no integrity in his content, his own viewers are getting tired of the repetitive nothingburgers he cooks up just to say "woke women BAD" and the fact that he can't even just denounce people *actually* harassing and doxxing Illy in his name is disgusting, and more than enough for me to make a judgement here on who is entirely in the wrong.
"Oh you did something I disagreed with. Let me just *make your address public, compromising your safety and privacy.* Like, even if you make the most ragebait, inflammatory opinion known to man, I still wouldn't want someone doxxed. Hell, there's scum of the earth I'd rather not have doxxed. It's such an irresponsible, deplorable act that should almost never be taken. I can't even call it childish because anyone over 10 probably has more common sense not to.

Yo, Omni, it’s alright with the TBYS vs Illymation drama, with the added context I hope that people understand your rationale as to why you wanted to stop covering the subject, and I think most of us would be fine if you stop covering the drama, you made a mistake and you realized it, now we got FNF to look forward too, We love yah man and your content
My issue with TBYS video on the matter is he cut content of the video that brought up a more nuance explanations in her video to push a narrative, and he has an echo chamber and most people that brought criticism didn't actually watched her video..the reason why I liked the Noah Samson video, it made it clear of TBYS intent and made clarifications for her video..I recommend people to watch her video, Noah Samson video (even if it is the first 20mins) for better clarification and TBYS actual intent.
Now if we can get omni the accountant to stop blaming inflation. lol. Prices are up, inflation is going down. This is a factor of greed, not inflation. That is why companies are making record Profits instead of just record revenues. That indicates the market is corrupted more by greed than inflation. Just Saying.

This was galaxies away from being a "deplatforming campaign" like TBYS claimed, he just uses inflammatory language to manipulate the situation to his advantage and the fact that people are buying it so easily shows a frightening lack of media literacy

Mad props for taking responsibility on handling each side of the story. Covering internet news n drama basically full time can be tiring so I can respect wanting to drop out of something when it gets reignited. At the same time though when you cover part of the story and not the other half it can paint you as disingenuous, so fessing up to it first thing with no beating around the bush just reminds me of how you are a real one and one of the GOATSs of internet news cause you’re honest.

My personal opinion
I think Illymations is mostly in the right. The only thing she did wrong was tried to mass report the TBYS video before watching it. But everything else was on either the either the snowflake grifter or his snowflake fans/supporters. Of course it’s wrong to dox someone but to purposely cut out context in order to align with your point is wrong as well
TYBS was definitely not the one doxxing, but he definitely influenced a crowd that doesn’t care about safety. He only really started saying to not harass people because he was starting to get flak. TBYS truly doesn’t care about Illymation getting doxxed or anyone he criticizes getting doxxed. He pretends to be to save his own ass. RUclips doesn’t take Ws but I’m glad they are not allowing people like him on the site
Actually no, he has tried to stop doxxers for a really long time, and I doubt the doxxers were his actual fans. Also he didn't take those clips out of context, I have seen the full video 4 times to have an unbiased view and TBYS was right, Illy was promoting bad habits, because of lack of knowledge in the field of health and fitness. Noah Samsen is not a person you should watch for unbiased takes, he is as big of a grifter as Hasan Piker.

@@loserthehated3427Because thats not always the case. “Fence sitting” does exist and often times people ignore things with a “both sides are annoying” mentality. It makes more sense nowadays since everything is culture war and ragebait, but i often try the best to think in the mindset of thinking that both sides are “capable” of the same(doxxing, lying, etc), not that they “are” the same.

I think some people who fence sit treat politics like it's a cult or allegiance rather than a decision that dictates what happens for the next couple of years. Both sides aren't the same level of bad. Infact in ideaology, they aren't inheritly bad in nature.
Both however are capable of bad and even possess bad. Meaning that you will have to accept some disadvantages regardless of what you pick. However in the future they might change and one might be better/worse or something new will pop up, which is why you should never treat it like a cult.

To add onto that, I and many others choose to fence sit in politics specifically because the state of politics, at least in America, is absolutely abhorrent. It's not simply a decision like you claim, it's a black hole of negativity that sucks the life out of people and leaves everyone miserable. It's turned so much into an "us vs them" mentality that BOTH SIDES see the other side as the root of all evil, and boils down their entire identity to who they choose in an election. Both sides do it, and it's something i'd rather not support.
You're so real for being honest; I will admit it was a bit shakey with you covered things and sometimes it is a bit hard to remove my own views (I'm sure others feel the same.) Omni seems like a solid guy. I like that he did that. I like people who can admit to mistakes, even if small.
I mean, it's pretty wrong to give an opinion with only knowing half the story. It doesn't make him a bad person. I won't dislike him. But trying to both sides politics, completely undermines the idea that politics have consequences for those who can't fight for themselves. Which is what makes it important that we pick up that fight on their behalf. I can commend someone for having an opinion I disagree with, but refusing to form an opinion or if you take a stance based on just part of the information. That isn't really commendable. Omni doesn't owe us anything, but all of us owe our fellow humans compassion.

Given the nature of both of the sides, their respective histories, and some of the supporters on one side being significantly more volatile than average, it makes sense why they didn’t (and kinda shouldn’t) interact with one another.

Imho, after the clarification, I believe both TBYS & Ily are both in the wrong, really more TBYS's. For Ily is more with encouraging her viewers to NOT watch TBYS's video and mass report him (idk if that's a form of harassment or not). For TBYS, while yea he made his point about maintaining good health and all that, but what I think is not cool is him roasting and making fun of Ily, especially when she's going through a tough time being comfortable in her weight! (At least he did admit that it was insensitive of him to do that) Not just that, but also omitting some parts of her video that makes her give the impression of promoting bad health and being complacent with self care. Tbh, the part where Ily said "A chocolate is the same as a carrot" (which are not her words, I heard that nutritionists say that saying, too), as someone who was guilty of seeing only one side to the story, I can understand the eyebrow raise; obviously chocolate and carrots are different in terms of nutrients and health benefits and side effects, but it turned out that what it's really talking about is maintaining a balanced diet (Nutritionists should come up with a better way of saying that phrase so that we won't have further confusion or big misunderstandings like this). And doxxing somebody just because you dont agree wih them is just foul... Yea, youtubers and influencers may have some fans that dont give a crud about safety for others, doesn't necessarily mean it's TBYS's fault, let's face it, I'm sure other RUclipsrs have fans that are good and others that are... questionable... But hey, maybe I'm missing something there, but that's pretty much my take on this whole mess SO FAR. Either way, lessons of this drama are: hear both sides of the story, be more understanding, and doxxing is just bad, PERIOD.

As for the Illy situation, while I still agree she overreacted, and shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions and put TBYS’s channel in possible jeopardy, I don’t entirely blame her that much as she’s been through a lot even before all of this went down, AND that bozo Dillon intentionally made TBYS’s video out to be much worse than it was! Not saying that Sleep was entirely innocent either, as just as Illy shouldn’t have made that Tumblr post (which I think she deleted thankfully), Sleep shouldn’t have made those tangents about her appearance, even if he meant it in a constructive way. Dillon seems to be the main antagonist in this thing, but Noah doesn’t seem any better, only that he has personal beef with Sleep and vice versa! I think once Noah got involved, Illy now seemed like the person caught in the crossfire! Again, she did have that overreaction that initially made it worse, so she’s not entirely innocent either, but at the same time, I understand why she might’ve reacted the way she did, as the way Dillon described the situation would most certainly make anyone in Illy’s position panic and do something similar to what she did. Again, doesn’t make it ok or make her not guilty. She still made that post, and overreacted. And she absolutely should NOT have done what she did! But I think that putting her in danger, especially considering all she has gone through before, during, and after all this drama is just pouring salt and lemon juice on the already fresh paper cuts! Also, TBYS explicitly said to not harass anyone, and in all honesty, when it comes to internet drama, fighting fire with fire rarely ever works out well for anyone! So, I think it’s safe to say, for lack of a better term, the Illy vs. TBYS (with Dillon being the big bad all along) arc is done, and now the Noah vs. TBYS arc is going on, and honestly, as long as Illy is doing ok, that’s all that matters imo. Everyone else can duke it out for all I care. (Though I still hope no more serious problems arise from this in any way between anyone! No one needs any more overreactions and doxing and other serious problems!)
(For personal reasons, I’m still gonna follow Omni’s lead and leave this whole situation alone for the time being, but I do plan on resubscribing to Illymations once she at least is safe and everything’s all good on her end!)
