Zappa, born from a military family, born on a chemical war plant, military schooled, his father a scientist working on chemical weapons... no wonder his music was technical supreme, but weird and sarcastic.

Most here in the comments have absolutely no idea what you're talking about...
or what went on in Laurel Canyon or why so many bands were concentrated there in one small region... hehe.

@@TheSanityMachine33 David McGowan was my Red Pill several years ago. Turned out he was born 20 days after me and we lived on opposite sides of the country. Cali for Dave and Miami for me, but the music, ohh the music was everything at that age of wonder, the teens.
But All of the parents in some way tired up in the military intelligence agencies 🤨
I've done every drug known and then some, but I can't get high enough to buy that one as chance.
And, I get a bad feeling about David passing so quickly.
      Kinda like Andrew Breitbart 🙄
I stumbled on one of his interviews on RUclips, and my whole life changed, and I couldn't continue to just play their game. I try to share his site when I can. It was a real bummer to see the Truth, but it's the only way to be Free.

Interesting how the fact is kept out of the story that the infamous Charles Manson was a close friend and fellow musician to many of them, and he too lived in Laurel Canyon.

It all changed in August1969 after the Manson murders of Sharon Tate and her friends. Before that, people went to each other's houses and socialised, you could hitch-hike up and down Laurel Canyon - people would stop and give you a ride, but after the murders, fear set in, people padlocked their doors and gates, or moved out, and it was never the same again.

Bout time someone brought this up. Can't stand the way people gush over this man. His father came from naval intelligence I believe?
Most people, if not all today do not become "famous" on talent. They are selected.
His music mad no sense. Plus he kept on predicating wars were caused by religion, when clearly, wars are caused by greed and the love of money. Personally, I thought the man was a patronizing blowhard.
      Plenty of them in california.
He loved the money, you'd better believe it.

I have the documents He could have been a cover for CIA, I was a n Vietnam in 1970-71 and I worked with information/ intelligence operations and musicians were a perfect cover because I was a musician in Vietnam and set aside to do only that. It’s crazy to explain, but the CIA knew kennedy had been doing mind expanding drugs and the Beatles etc and it started with them because high ups were afraid Russia would use drugs as a weapon on society and they really believed it. Who was expanding the drug culture in America, it was coming through music and in fact our social media was music and liner notes and album cover s. Right?

Many years ago I had a very bizarre experience. I went to see The Mother's of Invention at an amusement park, Lagoon in Utah with a friend. It was Festival seating in an auditorium & the audience made a small walkway behind us (about 10 rows back). I noticed during the concert, some of the guys would wander on & off the stage. Someone walked behind us with boots & pat me on the head. I assumed it was someone I knew so after abt. the 4th time I grabbed him by the wrist. Imagine my shock when I turned to see Frank, very tall Frank, with a big grin! After the concert, Lagoon let them go on the rides, play games & they took my girlfriend & I with them! It was crazy & they were all hilarious!!!
