Again, have to thank you for your guidance :). My lenses were crap; and the gaskets were dry, one was not there. I got replacement lenses and gaskets from Restoration Parts Source. Following your help, I got them replaced. Thanks again:).
One of the best times in my life was getting my 1981 Trans am back from the body shop and putting all the new parts on the car that sat around in my house all winter ...lol Take time and enjoy every minute ! I think when its done this 71 Camaro will be one of the nicest around !
I'm up here in the Mile high city of Denver. I'm loving this build because it's giving me insight on what I'm going to need to do (in some respects) to my car. I'm working on a `77 base coupe. However, I've always loved the 70-73 body style. I could never find one (a 70-73) that was A) not outrageously priced or B) wasn't trashed where it would be a complete budget killer to fix. But long story short, I managed to pick up this `77 from a family member. So this is technically a single family/owner car - and I'm in the midst of putting 70-73 rear panels on the back, and ordering all new sheet metal for the front to clone it to a early 70's RS. Quite literally - the panels are being delivered today from Classic Industries. I know I've got at least a years worth of work to do still, but I can't wait to drive my dream car when it's all done! Once I'm done - hopefully CamaroCon is still a thing, and I'll get to me up with you and Jay to show it off :)
In this video you contradict yourself on the location of the large hump vs the small hump. You made a video about the lights back in June of 2020 but reversed the gaskets....which one is the right way of installing them?
It's been tough finding videos around these topics for the early 2nd Gens, just making content as I get stuff added to the car. Best Gaskets! - www.soffseal.com/ss-3194
THANK YOU so much for the gasket data. Saved me. Those worked perfect on my 70.
That’s why I made the video, glad it was helpful

Awesome! The hope was these videos could provide some help if any
in the process of doing floor pans on my 86 iroc, not a 2nd gen but looking to do the same paint color and use dynamat.! great content!
That colour has really grown on me, the car is going to look killer
Man that color makes them tail lights pop!
all the easy work is over, now you have all the peddle time consuming, long stuff to do. its looking great have fun
this Gen 2 Camaro , ....... it is going to be so very cool when it it finished ! ..... i just know it ! .... : )
Looking good!
What color wires do the crossover wires go into
Quarter inch drive or nut driver would be better, less likely to strip out studs. Great build!
