Thank you so much for making this video so clear and concise! I was just able to set it all up and have my webcam move around at the literal tap of a button. Its so cool that you can do that now :) Props for the great quality on this video as well! Nice job :D
Mystic, this is probably the nicest thing anyone has ever said on my videos and I really appreciate that! It's awesome to hear that you were able to get it all set up to do something that you wanted to do! :D good luck out there!
So if im understanding this correctly... I can link this with something like the Twiddler 3 and handsfree swap "scenes" without swapping an actual scene. how could i do this for multiple cameras/ camera angles? 🤔 simple?
That is correct, I actually made a video that talks about triggering the Twiddler 3 to perform actions just like this. Either swapping scenes, changing camera angles, the whole thing. Anything that you can program in any of your normal streaming control software you can also do with the twiddler 3. Now I am planning on doing a video soon that goes into more depth of how to trigger any type of streaming action from a device like the Twiddler 3.
thankfully no! so with these filters, they are not actually active at all times, they are only active during a transition that you've set up and the only thing these filters are doing is adjusting the X&Y coordinates of a source from a starting point to an ending point. it's pretty much just adjusting a few digits in the supporting files for OBS to move a source. I do notice a slight GPU usage bump when things are moving but I think that's more to do with encoding and suddenly things aren't static anymore. but overall there should be a none noticeable amount of resource usage :)
Any ideas on how to set up a Touch Portal button that works with the "Next Move" options in OBS Move Transition? Right now I've rigged up my next moves with a hotkey, but I'd much rather be able to use a single button on Touch Portal instead of my wired keyboard!
From my understanding of the Next Move function, you shouldn't have to trigger it at all. "Next Move" and Next Move On" work in the same way but the "Next Move" will just auto trigger the next action to continue moving things around without you having to do anything other than triggering the first action. If you want to control when it all happen, then I'd say to have a dedicated HotKey and make a touchportal button that uses a virtual keypress to hit that hotkey when you want it to advance forward.
@@PlentyAZach Touchportal's virtual keypress is how I've worked out a solution for now and it's working pretty great. I've only had experience with simple on/off button toggling but recently learned that I can set custom states as well. So I'm excited to tinker around to get a single button that I can tap repeatedly to cycle through each of the moves on a loop, have the button visualizations change with each tap, and then maybe long press to disable it or something.
super happy to hear that has been working out for you! Touch Portal has so much in it it's kind of wild. I'm still learning all sorts of little tricks and tips as I keep using it. Happy creating bud! :D
You might want to look into something called VTUBING, there are PNG reactive solutions out there that can make a pic move/talk when you do. or if you want to go fully rigged they have awesome tutorials out there on it!
Awesome video. I have been trying to figure out how to use this for cropped background images. I'm a DJ and sometimes I have images for certain style of music that I use as my overlay. I would like to change the pictures like a slideshow, but they get resized using move source and when using touch portal one image sits on top of the other image. Any ideas on making this work? Thx.
This one took me a while to think about. here might be a decent solution if I understand your comment correctly. Exceldro makes a great plugin for OBS Studio called Source Switcher, it makes it so you can set up a scene that you would nest into your main stream and you can activate the visibility on any of the sources and all others are then hidden. This would let you set up each overlay as it's own layer and then not worry about resizing or anything else as you already did it all.
Thank you for letting me know! I remember I had to reissue out my discord links due to an issue I had the other week and forgot to update them here! thank you for letting me know and they are fixed now! :D
This made the move source filter very easy to understand. Liked, Subbed and rang the bell…
I appreciate it bud! thank you very much! :D

i just loved your video. thanks for teaching this.
Thabk you Bud I appreciate the kind words! 😊 I’m glad this was able to help you out!
Worked beautifully, thank you!
Great tutorial. Thanx
You're welcome Bud! I'm glad this was helpful for you! :D
Thanks, this is a wonderful Video. You have very good didactic model to explain it! Thanks i learn a lot!
I haven't heard "Didactic model" since college haha I'm glad this was helpful to you :D

Please can you make an updated video
I'm sure I can! thankfully, the info in this video is still working today but I know there have been some updates to the plug in that I can cover :)
Don’t all these filters massively balloon OBSs’ resource usage?

I love this but every time I close OBS the settings are lost, any ideas?

How do I make a picture or a video, talk, move and do anything that I do

What do you think are the most useful plugins? I love move transition and StreamFX, so many amazing features between them!
