I'd like to learn how to use Touch Portal to play Samples over chat mics so wherever my mic can be heard, the Samples can be heard as well. I'm told that using Touch Portal, the Soundbox plugin for it, and Voicemeeter, that it's possible but this mechanic doesn't know how. I have a GOXLR and playing samples over Chat Mic is very easy but some of my friends are poor and I really want them included.

For example, you're in a Zoom or Teams meeting and want to people to hear your audio [so may require something like SoundMeeter as a mixer with your mic input]. Also for those maybe just recording YT content - just making sure they're capturing "desktop audio" via OBS or whatever they're recording with is probably enough ... but it's a different solution than the first one. Easy, practical audio mixing for these kinds of common scenarios.
Another great video! Love the soundboard, and the real ingenious part is using the Value state to toggle through potentially three sounds on the same button. Can't wait to implement this!

i followed all of the steps but when you go to add the value to name it , sound board on my end its asking to buy the pro version to add the value , Is there a work around do I need to purchase the pro version to add the value? or did I miss a step ?
Honestly, it is ridiculously absurd how many key commands you have to perform to run a simple audio. And that's multiplied by each and every audio button you want to have. For that you plug the Backpack into the line input of your interface and you have all the audio you want at your disposal and you just drag and drop it and just load it directly on the button you want to use. I think Touch Portal is a good idea based on software that wastes enormous amounts of time to be able to program the simplest things. It's like running linux through the console, all keys to do the smallest and simplest of tasks.
I am having an issue with TP and can't find answers. I originally used it on my laptop for streaming and all my skins effect buttons worked perfectly (all of my buttons worked perfectly including scene change buttons). Then I switched computers to a desktop. I finally got my touch portal connected to the desktop and when streaming (streamlabs to twitch) the scene change buttons work but my sound effects don't. I can hear them when I push the buttons, but those watching me on twitch can't hear them). For some info, I copy pasted the entire page of buttons onto my TP on my desktop, transferred all the sound files to the desktop, and connected those sound clips on the desktop to the TP buttons... hence why I can at least hear the sound effects when I touch the buttons but I can't figure out why the stream can't hear them. I would email TP about it but they still haven't responded to my email I sent a while back asking for help connecting my TP to a new computer and from what I've seen, they are notoriously bad at actually responding to customers when they reach out to TP so I thought I'd ask you since you are so knowledgeable with the app. Is there a simple solution I'm overlooking? I do have the paid version if that info helps.
Not the coding looks like it from scratch 😂. However thank for providing the resources so it easy to import and took only 5 minutes ensuring the sound file is going to the correct place.
im using this now, but i am lost on how to name each buttons different state. I can name the first button, but it names all the buttons in that statement as the 1st one. how would i change that? i.e, First sound button is labeled. when i click to go to the next "page" the label is still under the button, but its for a different picture.

Love your video its helped alot but one thing I have been looking for all day for touch portal is how do I set where the audio from touch portal is going? ect If i want to use my new created soundboard from this video while streaming how does the stream hear it or even have it play in my discord chat with friends?
So I just got touch portal, and it's doing this thing where it only plays audio with the direct thing for it, but if I add the green colored commands, it doesn't work. So for example, I put your sound page in and everything imported in, but not playing audio

im having trouble getting the sounds to be heard in obs. I use the elgato wave link software and have everything routed right and my obs audio mixer shows sound is bein played but when i record and try playing a sound on the sound board you cant hear it???
Mitch! you might be recording the sound board files on a different track and that audio track is not being recorded within OBS so when you play the file back the audio is not heard
Is there a way to play the audio file if I have my streaming pc audio going to my headset. Can I make these files play through for my stream to hear?? Or do they have to play through my speakers??
It will play thru your default device via a JavaScript. If you have the default device going to stream PC then ur good. Otherwise you’ll need to setup eartrumpet to send it to that source.. which may result in some conflicts

Nice Thing. I got the Idea to create this value Buttons for Scene and sorces. So If i click the Button to the Scene 1 its switching to it and Show me all sorces of this Scene to control. If i click Scene 2 , the Sorce Buttons of Scene 1 disapears and all sorces of scene 2 appears
They need to make it easier to add effects or what ever you want to add without having to do all of these actions. I have a program i use for sound effects when i dj. You can just drop the file to the button you want and you can adjust volume, length, the trigger effect ect with in the button. Th program is called kueit pro

You can use one of the plugins made for touch portal that will set the output of the audio source

Sounds like something is happening with the config.. the on/off might be messed up somehow.

Absolutely can. You’d have to setup the gif in obs and have it toggle on or off when you press the button

This doesn't play through your mic so only you and OBS can hear it.
Literally no video explains how it is suppose to work in OBS. so frustrating and waste of time.
This has nothing to do with obs. It plays on the desktop.
Then that audio gors to obs via the desktop. Enjoy 👍
