It's crazy how NASCAR didn't throw a caution quicker when Ward Burton stopped on the access road. If that happened today, they wouldn't have waited 3 seconds to throw the caution. I like how they let the pit stops play out before they threw it.
The size of that crowd is so crazy compared to what it is now. It's sad to see how much it's declined. I remember how excited I use to get for racedays back then. I quit watching after the dover race in may of 2018. Just isn't fun to watch anymore.
@@daviclar867 I'm an average race fan, and lap speed is meaningless to me. I would prefer to know how long it took someone to do a lap. I would also rather know the gap between cars as a measure of time rather than speed, or the less than exact "car lengths".
so its sept 8 2019, watching the cup race at indy there is no one in the stands i mean just a sprinkling of people. wow did nascar seriously messed up this sport in the last 20 years. nascar will be extinct in no time.
Ah the Golden Days of Nascar. 1993-2001.

(dmetl) #404 - when the guy said , "that's the 4th lap that's been run ," I felt like I'd done watched 15 laps

(dmetl) #405 - 271st race I've ever watched ... 71 of them on the net
I've never understood why they insist on giving lap speed rather than lap time.
