- Join Bryn Lucas, Andy McEwan and Joe Osborne for live coverage of British GT’s biggest race of the year: the Silverstone 500! 40+ cars, including the championship’s largest GT3 entry since 2014, go hell for leather over three hours around the Home of British Motor Racing.
There are no pit windows but each car must make at least three pitstops and no driver can exceed 100 minutes behind the wheel. Any Pitstop Compensation Time - that’s the new name for Success Penalties - will be served at the last of those three mandatory stops.

Gonna be honest i searched for a circuit race series after being frustrated I couldnt watch F1 without an ESPN subscription and ended up at GT races....glad I found it, much more variety in the cars and the class interaction keeps it interesting! It doesnt have the stand-out drivers and personalities to follow that F1 does so hard to pull/follow a driver/team, but dang its still pretty entertaining! (Safety cars aside)

Becky when I was q5 my dad brought a p1 23 years later you've taken back in time I've owned 3 imprezas over the years but the p1 still hasn't been ticked off yet , the difference between the p1 and other type r etc is this was hand built by prodrive and back then no cossie or bm ... nothing could touch it ...
Haven't visited this series for awhile, forgot what I was missing. Great racing, great field of cars and drivers. Good to see Silverstone again too. Thanks for posting

safety cars seldom are a one time event on the race so it's le possible to have abother before the end of race.
Great race. Sad that Lotus has Emira pace car but does offer Emira GT4 and zero customers so far for 2023.
i dont think the emira GT4 is ready yet. come 2024 i expect we will see a couple

Are these ever advertised? I never see anything about these events in the UK other than F1 or some BTCC. Stands look empty too, which is a shame for how great this would be to see in person.
Going here in person, 2022 and 2023, there wasn’t many stands open, however there was quite a lot of people about
I literally betted on the BMW because I like BMWs and own one. Then, for the next 3 hours, I watch it overtake all these AMGs, Porsches, and Lamborghinis. I guess I chose the right car again.🔥

Can't help thinking that having an open pit lane during Safety Car periods really does make the race a bit of a lottery. The bad luck penalties are severe! What if the pit lane was accessible for refuelling only (for those who absolutely have to) during safety car or FCY periods, and that mandatory driver changes could only happen during green flag laps?
Well that system is not ideal either. That way those who pitted shortly before the SC profit.

Why is Borodin allowed to compete? He can barely stay infront of the GT4's.
He has loads of money. Thats why theres no sponsors on the car, he will have just bought a 720s gt3 and has a racing licence so even though hes really slow hes allowed to race. It was the same with betty chen last year

So I cannot lie, I came here to dog these car challenges because someone always goes wayyy over budget, uses a car they already owned (Car-Trek: claims price from years ago in different market, issues already fixed, and has tons of mods), and lastly they’ll adds tons of “safety” mods that negate the reason the car was $1500 or whatever in the first place! They often try to make the claim that even in today’s world you can still buy a great car that doesn’t break the bank yet no recent TV show or RUclips series has actually done it. I get the safety mods but if you were buying it as an average Joe to get to work, those “safety” mods would have to be part of that initial budget! It’s unrealistic to say you can get a great deal on a $1500 car if you need $1500 more to pass any state inspection in the US. For instance I just put tires on my 12 year old SUV due to a yearly inspection due by the end of the month in 7 days. I got a STEAL on a set of brand new 2023 Cooper All-Season All-Terran tires at $109 each then $20 per for mount/balance/dispose old tire. Total was just under $530 for everything out the door. It ain’t over tho as I got another $120 for an alignment and $20 for the state inspection. All this after a $50 of oils and filter, $36 of wipers, plus $45 for new brake pads on the front. Point being my half decent SUV (2010 Ford Escape, V6, 83k miles) just needed almost $800 worth of work done before I can drive it beyond the end of the month without fearing a ticket for expired inspection. I even did all the work except the tires myself to save money so let’s say $1000-1200 if it was all done at a shop. That’s not “safety”, that’s called OWNERSHIP. You all had a budget and ran what ya bought so I will give mad props for the authenticity and honesty! An episode exposing these other channel/show challenges would be awesome. I hate when channels I love like Gears and Gasoline or Tavarish, Ed Bolian, Hoovie being the Car Trek cast and a few others (Cleetus did one but they were racing so I don’t count it plus I think they did the very bare minimum for “safety”) do this car challenge but lie their way thru it all. Kudos to yall and keep the great content coming!!

UK circuits have lost the plot with all these extended curbs with extra run off and then the requirement of "track limit" penalties. Its ruining the racing.
The Curb is the extra bit of the circuit that can be used if you run wide - so they dont need anything after that
Then if you are cutting onto the grass of gravel on the inside of corners - its very clearly off track.
But also it would stop all these overtakes when off the circuit - this race was full of people doing it
