      the component is screwed onto a plate with 6 screws and then clamped in a vice. This can also be seen at second 49 in the video.

    5:25 amazing tool-path!
    It's so great and I am so grateful for your own demo-videos! Especially the longer versions,to see the process and genius behind the manufacturing. Of course on the most beautiful DMG Mori Machines :)
    Would be nice to see some other longer videos for other machines, like ctx beta 450TC for example...
    Even though the H-monoBLOCK is on of the best for its size and application range ^^

    Very intersting video:
    Two comments though:
    1. Chapter 6 should be called Maching teh Hadnle rather than Holder Machining. It's NOT a holder, it's a handle.
    2. Why did you waist so much machining time roughing the contours of the final piece with a surface mill? A VHM mill used at full depth would have been MUCH more efficient IMHO.

    • @micgalovic
      @micgalovic 2 месяца назад +5

      I love how an engineer spent a week of his life on programming of this part just to be be criticized by the first comment on the vid xd

    • @purerhodium
      @purerhodium 2 месяца назад +3

      If you're talking about the roughing at the start, that's a high feed mill, not a face mill. High feed and high efficiency milling are both perfectly valid roughing strategies. In this case, I think the tall and thin handle favoured a high feed milling strategy, which directs cutting forces along the axis of the tool rather than to the side.
