I was perfectly fine with my Hoya collection, then I saw your Hoya michele, fell in love, looked for a cutting, it was sold out everywhere and now I am crying on my kitchen floor, I hate you 😂
I’ve used pon for over a year now. My Hoyas love it too much 😂. I’ve never had to use extra fertiliser mind I find the pon fertiliser is sufficient. Lechuza does recommend once it hits dry, don’t top up with water for couple days so it has 2-3 dry days. Beautiful splashy Hoyas James.💚🌱🥰👌
I enjoyed your video. Of course, your accent (to me) and general speech makes it so much easier to understand you as you enunciate very well. I appreciate your knowledge and your willingness to share it. Thanks!
Wow, you have a lovely numbers of splashy hoya babies. To see any hoyas that have silver gray splash is really to die for. A lovely sight to watch indeed. The grey ghost and michelle will be on my watch list from now on.😅 Thanks for sharing. Angie✨
Beautiful plants, thanks for sharing. I’d love to get my hands on any one of them. But I’m particularly intrigued by the AH 074. I’ve never seen anything quite like it, really nice
Just exactly the info on pon that I was needing to know. I am a new Hoya head of just two months. I have aquired 19 cuttings! I tried to do my homework on substrate for Hoyas and felt straight pon was my answer. So, I bought a huge bag. Now, after seeing your video, I feel comfortable to use it. And leave out that wick! Thank you so very much!.......off to find AH074! Using boiling water to kill mealies is good. Has anyone microwaved it? I suppose a pocket of air in a stone could explode....
My favourite splashy hoya is my verticillata (previously wibergiae) cos that's supposed to get a purple splash! I need to blast it some more. Also love my variegata heuschkeliana, so cute. But in general I prefer big leaves and veins over splash or variegata!
oh I really want verticillata! So so pretty when it's really pink! And you're totally right - the big veiny leaves are magnificent! Definitely have some of those to put in the next video Thank you Roos! 😘😘
Hi, I'm going to convert my hoyas into pon, but you mentioned root mealies few time, and I'm worried as I don't even know how to recognise it. If you discover them can you post how you deal with it? And how it looks like? BTW, lovely collection. I'm new to hoyas but really like those splashy ones.
I just learned from a hoya grower that if you been the tendrils down what they're starting to vine out the tendril will die back back so you have to have the tip pointing up I will try to find that video. She has three greenhouses that she's growing Hoya in to sell
I just bought a Hoya Carnosa Stardust and i cant find a whole lot on care for it or if its fast or slow grower. I have wanted this one for about a year, but it was super expensive so i waited for the price to drop some. Do you have any advice? I haven't received it yet. I have other rare Hoya's too.
I've always wondered about letting pon dry out completely (for longer periods of time)! Some people also did it with leca, and then they struggled with root rot. Which seemed very logical to me, letting roots only adjusted to a high moisture environment completely dry out before watering seems to me like asking for root problems... but ive seen people having more success with letting pon dry out completely! Have you noticed any problems with it so far? Do you let it dry for multiple days in a row, or until leaves start actually showing symptoms of dehydration (or depending on the hoya of course)? Started growing my hoyas in pon this month so would love to know your experiences! Amazing video as always🌿🌿🌿
I have had a lot of issues like that with leca for sure but i haven't found the same with pon yet - I wonder if somehow the roots grown in pon are more similar to soil roots rather than water adapted roots? It would be interesting to really look into! I would say I let them sit dry for a day or two max and they are in a very high humidity environment so possibly the roots are staying damp enough that they don't really suffer at all? I'll keep watching them though - thank you! 😍😍
Hi James how often more or less you water pon?! I I have put my AH074 cutting in it but just normal pot , none transparent more or less same size so would love to know. Might repot it once it’s bigger to lechuza pots.
Hi! It fully depends on the conditions you have it in - I water mine about twice a week at the moment because it is in a warm spot under bright light. With pon I normally go by the colour - if it's dry/pale in top then it's probably time for a little water. If it has drainage holes and no reservoir I wouldn't worry too much about overwatering though- it'll be fine!
Aeromaculata mutation / phenomenon in a Hoya leaf which many people call "splash" is the air bag cells layered on green surfaces randomly. It can happen on both surfaces; dorsal & ventral, mostly on dorsal surface. ′′Splash ′′ is the cell layer that is like an air bag on the leaf skin when scrape off. The green layer of the normal leaf. The reference is from the studies and research by Prof. Wojciech Pokora from Poland.
I feel like root mealies is going around the pon world right now. Is it possible that pon is coming with them?? I've had to repot and treat at least 10 of my hoya that had root mealies in pon within the last month.
I've noticed this too! I guess it could be possible (I hope not haha)😬 i might start pouring boiling water through before using just in case! There do seem to be a lot of people struggling with them atm! Thanks for commenting!!
Humidity is important for them. Hoyas come from humid areas your Hoyas will grow faster and their leaves will get bigger some even need humidity for flowers
ruclips.net/video/tvvlCIpa0vg/видео.html This is the video I was talking about. I think she also was just gone one of the videos produced by Legends of monstera on RUclips. She's talking about training hoya and how to get the leaves looking pretty because of the way they're starting to face as they go around.
Ebay is great for hoya and there's also a really good Fb page called Rare and Unusual Hoya BST where a lot of cool things pop up, and you'll be able to get in touch with some fab sellers! Hope that helps! 🌱🙌😍

Such a beauty! So splashy! Love them all🤗🙌💚

All Hoya like their tendrils growing up, all the growth will produce leaves. Beautiful collection 😊
Yes! I have never buried tendrils. Letting them grow into the air or around a trellis, will encourage blooming! ; )
I only have one at the moment but after seeing all those beauties i am hooked, thanks for sharing James
haha amazing!! Thanks for commenting! 🌱🌱

Wow !!! I Love the Michelle Hoya..🥰
Thank you for sharing your routine with the grey ghost!
In the summer this year I got my first Hoya carnosa and I have window Hanging and it has put out quite a few leaves
😍💚Absolutely stunning!!!!!
That Hoya Bella variegated is on my wish list for 2021.
I LOVE your Michelle... I have one but it definitely has a lot more green than splash! I'm jealous of yours.
Stunning stunning hoyas and rare also 🤗my favourite one are wilber grave,ah074,graphitii splash, acuta splah, wibergiae, grey ghost, etc to name a few xxx
ah what an amazing selection!! 😍 wibergiae/verticillata is right at the top of my list too!!🌱
Love your hoya! Love your systems. What is the stones your hoyas are in? Thanks for sharing
Your vine game is strong 💪🏽🤩
I love the last two in y5 collection! Especially the last one I wonder where I can get a cutting of one of them
handsome, muscle boy and luxury plants....good matching.....thanks for yr detail video.
Nice splashy !!!
Is this Hoya Michelle Splash or Hoya Michele MB1255? Love this plant!
I love the biceps.
*YAAAAAASSSS....🤤😍🤤😍🤤*
I love the Hoya cv Michele and the Hoya rintzii Borneo. You can top the pon with carpet moss to avoid it spilling over :)
oh good idea! Thanks 🙌😍
Stunning 😍
I know this Hoya is not very "splashy" but I really want a variegated Hoya Kerrii plant not just the single leaf. Rather hard to find though.
It is Hoya Michelle. Your fault I just bought one. Love this one.
So gorgeous plants, thank you! Do you live in the south? Your Michele has fntastic splash
Gorgeous plants!

Unsolicited Plant Talks :)
@@pacmoon14 yes that's right she's so full of Hoya information
Can you provide more details on the substrate which you call "Pon"? Is it pumice? Can I use it as pumice, or is that only for hydroponic culture?
I don’t where you based, have you seen or do you have Variegated Polyneura?
Hoya Kerrii Splash is my current favourite. Really want the obovata.
I really love your hoyas.😘😍🥰
