How can you tell he misses people? That's a little presumptuous. Many people love living a life that would be considered lonely to "normal" people. He obviously just likes Foresty.
Man, you got to get a dash cam or something. I really love to see that harrowing moment with your van almost went over a cliff. That's content right there!
Salute to a man who lives life his way. And another quality of Foresty shown by checking on the man and treating him equally and with respect. I think there is still more deep down inside Foresty yet to see. Thank God for the winch and 4wd.
Mountain Mike... what a wholesome awesome nature loving dude. Someone who never lost their inner child and living it out is a rare sight to behold. Love it.
Forresty: how did you get to the hospital? Mountain Man: oh, that was a trip and a half… This man is the charming type of crazy AKA: I can only stay for a couple of beers, but will enjoy it immensely
Mountain Man Mike is very entertaining. I think I could listen to him for hours even if I don't always know what the heck he's saying. Great job Forestry as always!
@Mary Smit make a channel, create videos... maybe it'll happen for you. It's not exclusive. There's kids playing Minecraft making more money than me. I do my best to plug other channels, and support their growth as well.
Amazing what you do in a near stock Chevy 4wd van solo vs those with 5x the build in a caravan. Bonus pts for the snowy drone shots from across the canyon. Bravo.
Mountain man Mike seems like a hell of a cool dude. And you are one brave son of a gun for climbing up that trail in your van. That was some intense footage.
foresty, i really do appreciate your kindness by visitng old friends you've met along the way. god forbid, something hapened to mountain mike, you would be his only help if he didnt have any other resources. stay safe foresty!!
My response was, "Don't give us straight lines like that!" You know, with 280,000 subscribers, would not be surprised if someone offers a free, or discounted refitting for exposure.
Regarding the roof Forresty - my advice - leave the liner in. Do you want to lug the extra weight of all that timber around? What I would do is take the liner down and put in a 30mm sticky back insulation or something and then add a foil tape vapour barrier. Same thing with the rear doors maybe. Mould will form in the ceiling if you don't stop the moisture getting to the cold metal like what happened with your mini van. Maybe you could nix the liner and replace with a stretch carpet covering or recover the factory liner with something like that. I did a similar thing in someones VW Transporter build.
Good of you to stop in and see Mike. I'm sure he appreciates it. For your fridge issue get some of those fridge bars from Crappy Tire they work great for keeping everything where it's supposed to be. I use them in my cabinets in my truck camper for when the doors fly open on a rough backroad.
Man I was holding my breathe and prayed you didn’t slide off the road!🙏🏻 Now that recipe you fixed looked really good! Savory and a little sweetness too. Take care and was nice to see Mtn Man again! Thanks for checking in on him. Safe travels to you!
You can totally tell Mountain Man Mike hasn’t really spoken to another soul since the last time Foresty Forest was there. In many ways, an introvert would see this and feel envy, but that is my biggest fear. I spend so much of my free time alone while I’m in law school, but to spend all my time alone would be such a depressing prospect for me. I think everyone has their preference on a lifestyle, and to see people like that is fascinating. Everyone always wonders how the “other half” lives.
I feel his need to live alone in beauty... I would rarely need human interaction; animal interactions are more than enough to sustain my "healthy mentality". I think MMM is living how he wants to love his own life.
Mountain Man Mike. What a treasure. Foresty, you are a stud. Checking in and taking him beer. He is living life on his terms. I would love to know more about his story. Great video man.
Are beadlock wheels legal in Canada? I believe they’re illegal in the USA. Here in Australia beadlock wheels/rims are available but not approved. Also next to impossible to balance beadlock wheel/tyres
That was so good of you to check on Mountain Mike! And Thank You for being careful and not pushing your luck just to get a video. Much respect for someone who knows when it is time to back down and not be stupid. I consider you a treasure and want to see many, many more videos from you! Can’t lose Foresty Forest - my favorite mountain goat! 👍🏻❤️🚐
Do a cut away of your fenders like Ford or Dodge to get the big tires on and do not deflate them use recommended tire pressure on your new ones so nothing happens to them
Fridge bottle suggestion: Slip ur glass bottles into an old (or currently in use) sock. Or stick an appropriate size towel in there to keep the bottles from moving around when off-roading. :)
Thank you for checking on Mountain Mike, but speaking as your self appointed surrogate mom, I did not like the risk you were taking attempting to bag that summit. I love your videos! Stay safe young man.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the exterior and tires/rims on the van! The interior build you did already is pretty cool, I think. Keeps it ‘real’ if that makes sense, that it has a rustic vibe. Headliner would be annoying, though. I’ve done my truck camper cap out in a product called ‘Bamply’ - it’s basically bamboo plywood. Thin and has a nice finish to it - kind of like a bamboo chopping board looks. A few coats of varnish and it’s good to go. Cheaper than regular plywood, too. 👍🏻
Mountain Mike, nice guy and a great character. I really appreciate the tenacity and personality of someone like him who wants and needs little except simple living with nature🌳🌲🍁🌾
Brother...I hate when I'm starving and I'm cooking In my jeep, and I ruin something and have to start again 🙃 Member of you ever get stuck, you message me, I'm usually around the FSRs and I have my old Chevy 4x4.
Mountain Mike is the the “Crazy Neighbour” of the Foresty Forest universe.
🤣
True
He reminds me of the Sea Captain in the Simpsons.
( ͡❛ 👅 ͡❛)
How about a JOB
Big respect for checking in on mountain Mike, most people would run a mile if they came across him.
Same. Yep.
Nah he's not dangerous... maybe a little crazy from loneliness...
Nah I've chilled with far crazier people. That guy is civilized.
Ya'll just aren't open minded enough or some shit
Love the foresty channel. He's underrated. He's like a forward thinker. Very clever
I love the characters, Mike's harmless and very interesting. Hi Mike!
Foresty. You are a good human. Glad we have people like you on this planet.
Hes cute too
❤️
Glad you stopped in on Mountain Mike. He’s a character. Can tell he misses people. Hope he stays healthy during the winter.
How can you tell he misses people? That's a little presumptuous. Many people love living a life that would be considered lonely to "normal" people. He obviously just likes Foresty.
@@Ash_18037 because he’s manic when Foresty arrived. It’s not an insult on Mike. I wish him the best in life.
I like how hes far away from sick city society with smartphone zombies
In a world gone crazy mountain Mike has it figured out. Good on ya for hanging out with him he clearly loves the company.
I'm glad the old man was there. Thanks for stopping by.
Man, you got to get a dash cam or something. I really love to see that harrowing moment with your van almost went over a cliff. That's content right there!
Can never get enough Foresty Forest. Living the dream living the dream
Salute to a man who lives life his way. And another quality of Foresty shown by checking on the man and treating him equally and with respect. I think there is still more deep down inside Foresty yet to see. Thank God for the winch and 4wd.
I just love that you don’t use living in a van as an reason to not make some serious food!
This man is like a NPC in forest quest in a game called Foresty Forest
that old guy is awesome! a true character
God bless ya for going back to visit Mtn Man Mike. That was awesome
Props for checking in on Mike. You're good people man.
A lovely old bugger . The world needs more characters like Mountain Mike and Foresty .
I think its time to check in on this guy!
It says a lot about you that you visited him again. Such an interesting person!
Yea. Was nice and also that man is off the grid grid! Lol
glad to see an update on mike. but damn, im really impressed at how well that van can handle these rough roads. definitely keeping those on my radar.
L👀king forward to seeing the new tires & chains as that white stuff keeps falling from the sky 🌨
Appreciate you checking in on Mountain Mike 🌲🌾 💚
I appreciate you checking on this man who needs a little looking after. Says a lot about you! I appreciate it.
Living on his own terms…. Free as a bird. It’s great you found your way back to catch up. Bet you made his day too.
Mountain Mike is my favorite storyline thusfar, although the stealth van build was top tier as well
Mountain Mike... what a wholesome awesome nature loving dude.
Someone who never lost their inner child and living it out is a rare sight to behold.
Love it.
Good on you for checking up on Mountain man.
Most excellent use of a row boat and oar I have ever seen. What a kind soul you are Forestry Forest for checking in on Mountain Mike.
Twenty seconds in, the phrase 'taking the road less travelled' immediately comes to mind...
Don’t even have to watch the entire video before liking. All the work and time that goes into the angles and scenes. Top tier effort here.
Thanks 👍 have a good day
It’s good that you stop by and see mountain Mike every now and then
Foresty, so appreciate your heart in regards to Mountain Mike, or whatever his name is. You are a good neighbour!
yes. Foresty has many good qualities but the one that shines on this one is his kindness.
When foresty forest and Steve Wallis post on the same day it’s like Christmas Eve.
What a unique character the Mountain Man is. Love ppl like this
Have fun and take care and take it easy and enjoy it
You've officially adopted mountain man Mike! Gotta visit weekly!
You're a good human to try and keep tabs on Mountain Mike. Positive Vibes to you brutha!
Mountain Mike is the man💪🏽
Forresty: how did you get to the hospital?
Mountain Man: oh, that was a trip and a half…
This man is the charming type of crazy
AKA: I can only stay for a couple of beers, but will enjoy it immensely
@Ching Chong wow, you really put a lot of thought into this.
Mountain Man Mike is very entertaining. I think I could listen to him for hours even if I don't always know what the heck he's saying. Great job Forestry as always!
@Ching Chong This is.... so specific.... ?
@Ching Chong keep going bro! I want to read on... what happens next?
🤣🤣🤣🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♂️
wouldn't take much to fix that bridge, just nail a few planks over the holes!
That toast with Mike 🎶 segue was SWEET❤️❤️❤️ Good to see he was still a happy guy!
Foresty should be the "more biggest" channel on RUclips. Guy is great. 👍
Mountain Mike looks good. Hope he continues and i hate he broke his arm.
Get this man a ham radio and a small solar panel
The foresty radio show
Sounds great
I'll be the first to have a QSO with him. lol
@Mary Smit someone's butthurt
I would say get that old man a ham radio and a small solar panel
@Mary Smit make a channel, create videos... maybe it'll happen for you. It's not exclusive. There's kids playing Minecraft making more money than me. I do my best to plug other channels, and support their growth as well.
Love the wash tub.
Forest muttering "I don't know" while trying to make a sauce hits me so close to home..
This old man needs a tv show
The drive made me a wreck but the meal calmed me back down. So good to see Mike again.
1. Mountain Mike doing his laundry in the boat with a snow spade 👏🏻👏🏻
2. Your vans capability 👏🏻👏🏻
Love the sound of the D HEATER running cosy chill.
Crazy ass old man, need to watch yourself around this guy
Amazing what you do in a near stock Chevy 4wd van solo vs those with 5x the build in a caravan. Bonus pts for the snowy drone shots from across the canyon. Bravo.
Mountain Mike is such a genuine soul, good lad just living life and loving it!
FF a metal skid plate, one for the oil pan and one for the transmission may be a good investment for the roads you are hitting 4X4
Good on you for checking on Mountain Mike. 👍
The Snow is just starting to fly, and sticking. Summer in BC is over.
Love working outside this time of year, not too hot or cold- just right
Had to start wearing long underwear few days ago!
Thank you for checking on Mountain Man Mike. I hope hos arm heals completely and that he is ready for a cold winter.
Mountain man Mike seems like a hell of a cool dude. And you are one brave son of a gun for climbing up that trail in your van. That was some intense footage.
Vans are a bit heavy and large for such roads, but a lot of guys will do it in 4X4 pickups or better yet, a jeep.
Nice to see you made it back up there and had a beer with Mountain Man Mike!!
foresty, i really do appreciate your kindness by visitng old friends you've met along the way. god forbid, something hapened to mountain mike, you would be his only help if he didnt have any other resources. stay safe foresty!!
the new pump sounds like a disco party in the background
12:45…Foresty talking about “seeking professional help” on van builds?! Lol! He’s the professional!
My response was, "Don't give us straight lines like that!" You know, with 280,000 subscribers, would not be surprised if someone offers a free, or discounted refitting for exposure.
I admire your adventures in the kitchen!
Glad to see you checking up on Mike the mountain man.
snow before october, that makes my insides queezy.
I love episodes with stealth camping and building, one of my favourites!
I am impressed by that Chevy van. I never thought I'd say that.
Regarding the roof Forresty - my advice - leave the liner in. Do you want to lug the extra weight of all that timber around? What I would do is take the liner down and put in a 30mm sticky back insulation or something and then add a foil tape vapour barrier. Same thing with the rear doors maybe. Older people have so much wisdom to offer, & should be respected. Nice to see U check Up on an old friend! Safe travels my dude!! 👍🏿
Oh, a good story is a thing of beauty, as is our Mt. man. Crusty in a good way like s sourdough bread. Good to see the snow a comin!!!
Great video soundtrack this time too! Thanks FF!
What a great episode! The little interaction with Grizzly Adams was a nice diversion :-) Be safe out there!
That's so sweet that you check on MM and bring presents of beer. Sad to here he broke his arm. Hope it heals well. Be safe out there FF.

Great video! Really liked the shots of the van climbing that impossible road. great job capturing that!
Man I was holding my breathe and prayed you didn’t slide off the road!🙏🏻
Now that recipe you fixed looked really good! Savory and a little sweetness too. Take care and was nice to see Mtn Man again! Thanks for checking in on him. Safe travels to you!
The variety of your menu NEVER ceases to amaze me !
I love that shot: 4:33
Cool to see ol' Mountain Man Mike! Always cool to see you, Foresty! 👍😎🇨🇦❄❄❄❄🌲

I think he's not all there or is suffering from substance abuse. He should not be that isolated. Can end badly for him.
Man I'm so sorry you decided to go to law school, that sucks :(
He needs a dog
I feel his need to live alone in beauty...
I would rarely need human interaction; animal interactions are more than enough to sustain my "healthy mentality". I think MMM is living how he wants to love his own life.
You would be surprised I used to be very social but now am a recluse and I love it
Your a kind soul to stop and check on Mountain Mike. He is different but seems very happy.
Hi from goderich ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Mountain Man Mike. What a treasure. Foresty, you are a stud. Checking in and taking him beer. He is living life on his terms. I would love to know more about his story.
Great video man.
Definitely get some beadlock wheels and some beefy off-road tires! Stay safe out there, Forest! Cool to see Mountain Mike again. 🙌🏼
now youre talking. beadlock rims. airing down to single digits is the single best thing you can do for traction.
Are beadlock wheels legal in Canada?
I believe they’re illegal in the USA. Here in Australia beadlock wheels/rims are available but not approved.
Also next to impossible to balance beadlock wheel/tyres
@@PetraKann Ill eagle? We're talking about tires not sick birds here
Mike is simply wonderful. And you are so very kind and thoughtful to visit him and care about him.
Some impressive driving skills there Foresty!
Thank you!
Such a nice dude. Good on you for checking in on him!

His voice is the best part
Hope u r well. Much love bruh.
i love mountain mike! what a great guy
No Fear with Foresty Forest. Glad you made it atta there unscathed. Happy you visited Mountain Mike. Your a good guy Foresty
Video production quality is just getting so good.
I guess the goal of that Foresty Impersonator....
Is to Gather Active Phone Numbers...
& Sell them in the Black Market...
That was so good of you to check on Mountain Mike! And Thank You for being careful and not pushing your luck just to get a video. Don't scare the shit out of us like that dude, you almost went over the edge a few times, had me big time worried, Come on new tires
Head north again this winter. Check out the NWT.
Ohhh yahh, here comes that mountain snow, you've got your tire chains ⛓
Careful with those narrow roads brother, that Van's heavier than the uplander
Thank you for checking on Mountain Mike, but speaking as your self appointed surrogate mom, I did not like the risk you were taking attempting to bag that summit. I love your videos! Stay safe young man.

I’ve been thinking about the interior aesthetics. I think you could change the looks a bit without a rebuild. It is absolutely perfectly set up.
Nice to see are old friend 😊
