    You have the same problem as Chrome. Very old rubber trim around all the doors letting in all the dust a trail has to offer. Simple solution. A can of spray adhesive, and enough packs of black, 1 inch wide, 1/2 inch thick weather stripping. The adhesive they have installed after you peal off the wax paper is not that sticky. Spray on the adhesive to the weather stripping, not the doors, and apply the strips to all the door edges. It's up to you as to whether you leave the old stock stripping on the doors. In my case, the stock strips were too far gone, so I took it all off, and doubled up on the new stripping. Worked quite well with the spray adhesive. The doors shut so tight now, and never vibrate at all. No more dust of any kind. Had to do this because finding new dealer weather stripping was not possible these days., and the dust was coating everything in the van. Water was leaking in the front doors during heavy rain, and pooling on the floors in the front. This caused major rust under the stock floor mats, which had to be removed with a grinder before undercoating the bare metal. Now it's all good. Hope this helps.

    Silicone spray is a must have. Spray down those door seals, rubber gaskets, conduit, even clean off and treat your wipers. Rubber breaks down, dries out, and cracks in cold and wintery weather, also from UV sun damage. Can also use it to lubricate door hinges, locks, latches, etc.

    From my experience people are often killed or injured from things flying around inside there vehicles during a road accident. Not so long ago there was a plumber beaten to death buy tools and thing that
    moved from the back of his van to the front when his vehicle came to a sudden stop if his vehicle had a wire mesh between the cargo area and the front seats he would have walked away.
    And sharp objects can come straight thru the seats from behind when a vehicle is rear-ended.

    • @forestyforest
      @forestyforest  2 года назад +10

      I stubbornly refuse to accept my van build is heavy 😅 removing the three rows of rear seating cut a lot of weight. Plus its rated as a 12 passenger. One of these days I'll hit the weigh scale to see where we are at. But thanks for the tip, I'll try to aim my headlights down and see if that helps.

      @@forestyforest you're probably right considering the specs. Could also be the lift causing the difference. Either way, adjusting them down slightly should help.

    I can commiserate with Forestry about trying to impose some order on a van full of chaos. If I don’t keep up on my chores, they pile up until I can’t seem to get anything finished. If there are lots of things to do, I’ll start on one thing, but soon move on to something else, until an hour later I’ll have half a dozen partly finished chores half finished, instead of 3 chores totally completed. Love your channel. All your videos are very entertaining, as you make your way through your day.
