@@matthewfowler6032uh no it wasn’t.
@@matthewfowler6032 Go watch it played live tell me if it's a bassline
It's hard to explain to kids listening to today's music what it was like to buy a tape or CD in the early 90s and be blown away at the energy and artistry of grunge era albums. Nevermind, Siamese Dream, Ten, Bad Motorfinger, Dirt, Core, Sixteen Stone, Mad Season's Above, Temple of the Dog, Singles soundtrack, etc. Unfortunately, it all morphed into alternative pop but what a moment it was.
I never would've guessed. I guess it's because it was played in a different key than what I'm used to hearing it in from Boston. Thanks, Billy.
Most of my 90s favorites are gone. I'm so happy Billy is thriving.
Thriving? He turned into this obnoxious man who demands respect because he had some great songs in the 90's. After 2000 hasnt released a single memorable album or even song.
Thriving? Dude is the biggest DB there is . Person above or below me nailed it
Don’t know too much about Billy but love the first few smashing records
All the footage I’ve seen of him he never comes off as a prick so wat yall on about how’s he a douche
@@BradleyCoopertestfor real
Corgan’s a douche. At least we still got Eddie Vedder though.
Corgan is a massive
Creative Unique Natural Talent.
🤣
Billy just wants to relive his golden years…in which he received exactly the right amount of credit for his talent.
Dude will be 90 - still angry.
exactly
Man...how did I NEVER pick up on that!? My mom is a HUGE Boston fan, too!
Wow.i jy love behind scenes.of ppl that actually there..makes me happy ❤
Wow Billy does know everything
You can make a connection with any song if you're looking for it
People don't understand the disdain Kurt had for the song especially playing it live. He'd speed it up just to get through it, or play a different song to avoid it all together.
Look up the story of Warrant and the song "Cherry Pie" and you'll never want to write a hit song in your life.
@@mixedmartialoddest Exactly, Janie Lane was "the cherry pie guy" and he hated it.
@@lysergicpillamyd483 Pretty sure it ended up driving him to suicide, so actually not much different than Kurt...if you believe Kurt killed himself.
He would ruin the entire song in some performances....it was strange.
I love that! Recently saw a vid where Dave told Pharrell that his drumming on Nevermind is from the Gap Band 😮
He knew it!!
Not the same riff or key but I can see the inspiration
I had to read through fucking… nearly a hundred comments to find someone that noticed, wow. Fucking wow dude.
Not the same lol, close enough to fuck around with but not only is it not the same but a totally different vibe. Nbd
It does follow the same progression though. Just in a minor key rather than major. But strum pattern is still a little different
If we could concentrate and bottle Billy Corgan, when you popped the cork it would say, “of course it went over the heads of the crowd”. What a douche.
Dude that’s fucking tight actually, more than a feeling was the first song I learned on guitar!
I listened to Boston Boston the full album a few times a day at work everyday for 2 years. I made levelor mini blinds
In NC . Front to back it's beautiful music straight from heaven.
Corgans jealousy is next level
I like that Billy thinks it went over the heads of the crowd when people have been saying this since the 90s. Billy is so arrogant.
Same them in 92. Miss those days
Kurt's face when he's playing "More Than A Feeling" is magnificent.
I had never noticed how close the 2 song’s really are… 🤔 thanks Billy, usually I pick up on that immediately! 😄.
No wonder I loved it, Boston is one of my favorites
Kurt looks so happy in the like halfway point of this video. I wish he could’ve stayed that way ♥️
Yea - that riff was more than a feeling. That's stuck in my head now
Oh, wow, Billy Corgan. That’s so interesting and thought provoking, Billy Corgan.
Wow. Im huge fan of both and never realized it...
And the opening drums is, "Early in the Morning" by The Gap Band.
I love hearing Dave talk about this.
ROCKED my world.
