Love War of the Worlds musical so much. Have some good memories of listening to it with my Dad on his original LP. Have seen the show three times with him now and it never disappoints

As someone who grew up in a tiny ex-council house (and still doesn't have a lot of space), I really appreciate these videos that show people they can still do fun projects with terrain even if they don't have a lot of room. I know it's limiting but it's really inspiring, nice work dude.

Looks great. But I agree, it does look a bit empty. The one change I would have made is to add some artillery guns. Just I'm the other corner, some Victorian style canons/ artillery guns firing at the walker trying to push it back but failing hopelessly. I think it would give the diorama that extra oomph, to help tell a story

Great idea for a model. I have always wanted to do a War of the Worlds set of minis. They would go well in a 15mm scale with world war 1 tanks and infantry. I have seen some pictures of older models, board games and even a supposed game "All Quiet on the Martian Front". However these days it all seems to have died off which is a shame.

I also loved the ending of the story. Microbiology wins.

Nice build. Jeff Wayne's album was so good and I far preferred the original period setting. I did the destruction of the Thunderchild diorama which was the album cover. For my Martian War Machine, I used brass tubing for the legs which gave it great strength.

Your timing of this vid couldn’t be any better, I’ve had a War of the worlds week. I’ve been listening to the audiobook on and off all week, I’ve just watched the 1950s movie this afternoon, I’ve got a War of the worlds 2005 movie tripod model kit on the way and now I’m in the mood to watch film 😂. Love me some war of the worlds and I’ll be using your red weed technique. I say this on all your vids but absolutely love this one 👍🏻

If you think this is small...
    Try 1/3000...
I make presents in that scale for people who leave my unit (army).
In a deep 25x25 or 50x50 ikea photo frame.
In fact... I am making a 170x90 Board right now, for instruction purposes.
If you like to do that... I have some fun products I can send you...
    Let me know.

I love this model and the way you've painted it. But out of interest, where are the leg supports? Did they get kinda lost when you shrank down the model? I only noticed when it started wobbling as you sprayed but now I've noticed that they're gone I'm too interested not to ask.

    Nice mini diorama.
I'm doing something like this myself. I have the bits for 2 dioramas but not much time to work on them.
The first is a forced perspective diorama of the narrator and the artilleryman on their way to Weybridge with the cannons firing on the Tripods and the other is a 1/144 scale of the Thunderchild against the Tripods.

I actually have that Martian war machine ( larger version) resin cast with white metal components from comet ( long out of production I believe) along with the cruise movie version both kits are tall and unwieldy but at that scale well worth looking into ( if I ever get a resin printer that is 🤫) for my wotw collection and yes I do have the stage show DVD 😁

I just come across your site and you have gone lol. I bought the 8k mini same as yours to make film theme dioramas. I haven't a clue where to start with my new toy. If anyone can give me a newbie link, I would be grateful. I only learnt today that I need STL files? see what I mean! I'm really new but willing to learn. I could do with a course to go on if there are such courses near Burton On Trent. I bought the double vinyl war of the worlds album in the 80's.
