So its made for a somewhat thicker door? Or is meant to be installed differently? Either way I sure hope your design change didnt damage your locks integrity

Those spindles come with perforated marks where they can be cut for the proper length. The distributor prepped them for the homeowner and even those it was done correctly, it was just a tad too long and the modification worked just fine. Thanks for watching.

I would have taken a little off both stems instead of making one shorter and less secure. I'm not a locksmith eirher but I am a retired electrical technician and I understand a little about mechanical physics as well and the main reason this happens is because the door is actually too thin which is really easy to kick in so exactly how secure is any of this? HaHa just saying bro if you're going to make this kind of content be prepared to have civil conversations. We learn from others but teach ourselves. Keep on it...

You're absolutely right and I wanted to grind the other side, but if you look closely, there's a part of the lock that was in the way and would make it challenging. Sounds like you know tools and I'm sure you understand how easily an angle grinder can bump and run . I appreciate your attention to detail. Thanks for watching.
