I just read The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon and it gave me major Hating Game vibes! Dreamy hero, determined heroine, a twist on fake dating. Workplace romance is so hard to do well but this one was great! 💜

i’d recommend roommate by sarina bowen! it’s a MM romance and it just came out, but i think you’d love it considering you really liked Him and Top Secret!!

Jane Eyre- I’m old compared to you (young at heart though) and a Mom, but read it as a teenager and remember physically crying reading it. An insurance salesman called to the door and I was in tears, he asked me what was wrong and I had to admit it was the book I was reading.
The Siren by Tiffany Reisz! I read it last year and I'm obsessed. The main character is so confident and sex positive and all of the characters are so complex. I already want to reread it.
Since you loved The Deal, I recommend you The Hook Up by Kristen Callihan. Her Game On series are a bit like Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy. I personally enjoyed more Game On series, being my favourite The Friend Zone (friends to lovers, one of my favourite romances ever) but I think you may enjoy more The Hook Up.
My favorite MM romance last year was Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid . It was sooooooooo good and she annoyed this year their second book is coming out soon !
I know that you previously DNFed it shortly after starting it, but I think you might like Well Met if you give it a second chance. It’s a hate to love romance with bookish characters (the romance is between an English teacher and someone who works at a small bookstore) with funny banter, there’s a nice relationship between the main character and her sister, and it all takes place in a fun small town setting.
I’m not a huge romance reader, but this is my favorite romance book, and my other two favorites are ones you’ve recommended (The Unhoneymooners and The Butterfly Project).
I think you should check out Josh and Hazel’s Guide To Not Dating by Christina Lauren bc Christina Lauren duhhh! Buttttt also it’s awkward meetings, cuteness, and unlikely couples and I’d LOVE to see what you think! 🥰🥺

Just finished Spoiler Alert last night and it was SO GOOD! Such a fun read
I would recommend Out of Bounds by R.S. Grey because it is one of my favorite romance of last year and I have never seen it on booktube. It’s a highly entertaining hate to love story that follows a coach and a gymnast on their way to the Olympics 🤩
First, you look adorable in a beanie. Second, Shipped was everything I wanted it to be. And now I want to go on a cruise or at least be somewhere warm. 🌴
For a good F/F romance I really liked Ask, Tell by EJ Noyes. It has a bit of a forbidden romance aspect to it because it's between two women in the military during the time that Don't Ask, Don't Tell was still around.
Breaking Character by Lee Winter is F/F fake dating between two actresses
Xeni by Rebekah Weatherspoon is a modern day marriage of convenience where the couple has to get married to get an inheritance. It's M/F but both main characters are bi. I also appreciated how the steamy scenes incorporate some things that aren't seen in a lot of romances.
Will and Patrick wake up married, where they accidentally marry but for reasons they have to pretend to be a legit married couple, its adorable watching them fall in love for real while pretending, has a great small-town vibe and is quite funny.
Collide by Riley Hart is a friends to lover romance that reminded me of Wes and Jamie a bit.
yeah I struggle to find a good f/f adult romance, plenty of great f/f ya but other then Elliot Wake's books, struggle to find some good ones.
Heartstopper on Netflix?! Whaaaat??😍😍 My recs: Favourite Hello, hardest Goodbye (MM romance; soulmates finding each other again and again and again), Carry the Ocean (MM romance; young adult with autism), Pieces of You (MM romance; established couple/ memory loss). Based on all the MM romances YOU have recommended, I think you would enjoy these.😊 I sure did.😊👏👏👏💕
You should definitely read The Time Travelers Wife and/or One Day (if you haven’t already)! They are both so different than the movie adaptations that I think it’s definitely worth it. That’s another video idea? You should do a video of romance novels that don’t compare well to their movie!!

I would also recommend Ten Rules To Faking It and The Upside of Falling. They aren't steamy but are super super cute. One deals with anxiety and the other deals with parental divorce and the people in these books work through these issues together.

I've been rereading Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas and it is just so good! It makes me smile so hard because it's about motherhood and romance all in one. I definitely recommend it! 😊
Thanks for these Gabby! I’m curious, have you ever considered trying reading non-contemporary romances? That could be a cool video-you reading historical romance or paranormal romance or something for the first time!! A good gateway into historical romance is Dreaming of You by Lisa Kleypas...it has a really strong heroine who is a writer & she kind of reminds me of a lot of the heroines in some of the contemporary romances I know you love! It’s also my favorite romance of all time.
You also might like Let Us Dream by Alyssa Cole - it’s only a novella, but it’s another of my favorite historical romances! It follows a Black woman and an Indian man during the Jazz Age in Harlem.
Yeah I’d definitely be down to do something like that 🤔
Tu should absolutely read The Gravity of Us by Phil Stamper. It’s a really cute book about a romance between the teenage sons of two of the astronauts going on NASA’s first crewed mission to Mars and how they deal with all the media scrutiny of their families. 🥰
I do have a romance rec, My Lady's Choosing by Kitty Curran! It's a "choose your own adventure" format with lots of different endings, some f/m and some f/f. I had a lot of fun reading it!

I read Shipped right at the start of the year on your recommendation and I loved it so much. It was exactly what I needed after a terrible first book of 2021! I have a big love for the I Heart series by Lindsey Kelk and the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella... but they’ve both got pretty vapid main characters (at times anyway) and they’re much more trashy. But they have a special place in my heart 💛

It's not similar to the ones on the list, but A Madness of Sunshine is a romance thriller that I enjoyed! A murder happens in a New Zealand Maori community and a woman returns home and helps the new cop investigate.

I think I‘ve seen that you liked Eleanor and Gray by Brittainy C Cherry, so I‘d love to see your thoughts on the „second“ book in the series Landon and Shay. It‘s a hate to love high school romance, but it‘s also so much more than that. It deals with depression and other difficult topics and I really enjoyed it!

I think you should read The Happy List by Briar Prescott. It has such a similar vibe to Him by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy but I actually liked it better. No hockey though.
A Sweet Mess by Jayci Lee. I loved it so much, a mix up had her one night stand and food critic giving her bakery a horrible review. This brings them back together to save the bakery and.....you know!!
