Laying on top untouched for 8-9,000 years a moldy cave crusted heavily used Big Sandy Broad Base!!! That’s a killer find so is the bifricate!!! Doesn’t look like that shelter has been touched…. Find of a lifetime if you excavate it correctly.. Good luck..
@@scottnock5241 the far left side has been lived in by a modern day camper some fire wood and old tin food cans but other than that it does seem very untouched. Very excited to see what all it’s got to find. I appreciate your comment a lot aswell I’m still trying to learn types and ages.
The other point is a LECROY I believe. Another very old type 8-9000 years old. Excavate it in layers because who knows what may lie underneath. These type sites can be important. Maybe reach out to an archeologist too. Great stuff thanks for sharing and good luck with it!
I have a few questions, I'm over in Boone Co. How far are these places from a creek? How deep do yall usually go to find stuff? Any tips for a new guy?
Tbh I’m not really that close to any creeks on most of my sites I look at only 2 out of about 6 are very close to a stream. Most bluffs I check for charing on the roof and flakes at the drip edge. And my open sites are ones I’ve lucked into by word of mouth
Put them in vinegar for about 4 or 5 hours and all that calcium deposit will be gone. I guarantee it won’t hurt them. Done it many times myself. That’s a nice overhang you found probably much more out in front of it. Good luck
Nice ..🤗
