Unless I’m mistaken, Ledger Ogawa shell cordovan is crust tanned by Shinki Hikikaku and then they finish the shells. I think they used to only dye the shells, but I think they do more of the process now.
My indonesian boot tea core leather slightly cracked after exposed to saltwater , none of that happened in my Red Wings or Nick's boots.
So if they are going to get into adventure , better get better leather.

Thanks guys, I have never seen so much information on the topic of boot leathers as you guys have put out with these episodes.
I love the longer format as I listen to the show while I do chores and workout, but to find specific information buried in the episodes is daunting and sometimes impossible. If you took some of the major topics discussed or frequently asked questions and made a short video edited down from a longer episode it would be much more accessible to searchers, and would get a lot more traffic. Not to mention that the comments on those shorter videos would be discussing that topic alone and would also provide a lot more info.
I would also like to ask what forum are you guys on, or what is your favorite? Many are fashion and dress shoe oriented so I would like to know more about where I can find out more about boots.
We definitely have a Q&A episode (or more) planned, but I wouldn't have any way to know which stuff you wanted touched on again? I expect that is different for everyone. Is it something you are able to ask? I'm definitely making notes of questions people ask in the comments.

@@cloveroak5492 Thanks for the forum name, I am still pending on that forum. I had to make a dummy account as I was never on facebook before so maybe that's why I never got in.
About the topics and smaller edits of specific topics; for example somebody is searching the internet right now about Horween's CXL leather and is it as durable as others. The official copy says it is great and highly durable and it is still popular (judging by how much it is out there), but your opinions on the matter will not be found as they are not findable by a search. If you packaged a short video on the topic from already made footage with a relevant title then those wandering around would find a great source of info in you guys.
I appreciate everything you guys do, I just see it as a wealth of information that is siloed away in long videos and in private forums. Good info like this should be easier to find for those just getting into this world. Otherwise it is so daunting as to keep newbies out.
