As someone who used to play Fifa year in and year out, I do feel like PES is the superior game. Switched to PES in 2016, and now I can't go back to Fifa. The gameplay is so much better, it feels like the real thing, Fifa feels more like and arcade-ish version of football.

@@Gokuu_Black yeah, from simply gameplay perspective FIFA just doesn't feel as good, honestly slow and a bit sluggish are words I would use, overly animated models, it just doesn't feel as good. Played FIFA 17 for abouth 25 hours too, really liked the journey and the manager mode is a lot better in FIFA in my opinion, but as soon as you get over licensing and other Pes issues and you step on the pitch, it outshines FIFA in every aspect.
I have to be honest I started playing pes 19 and I love the defense. I have been playing fifa for almost 10 yrs now and defense is always lacking. Im not gonna say fifa sucks its just nice to play something different. Crosses are blocked more often, less nutmegs and less accurate passes has won me over in the defense area.

Option files are usually messes up after every update.. that's why licensing is important.. reason I've played pes is because of champions league, now they lost it too..
PES is so much more realistic for game play. FIFA gets more like a game each year rather than trying to replicate a real game of football. The ball has less weight. Takes 5-10 mins to download an option file to get authentic kits so no big hassle.

What are you talking about better keepers mate? Coming from a hardcore pes fan I can tell you the game hasn’t improved much. Keepers are very similar to 18. The Defensive system is very much the same as 18, a broken mess of aggressive defenders running straight at you often late tackling from behind, covering ground way to fast. Good through balls are often intercepted. Referring is all over the place. The AI is terrible both offensively and defensibly, this year they attack ping-pong looking for the low cross. Shoots and headers feel scripted and weak, the Aerial game and crossing overall are trash, you can’t put power behind a header to save a life, Aerial game is the one element I would take from FIFA. Player positioning is still an issue, your defense still gets caught with their pants down. Off the ball player movement is too fast and combined with the bad defending it ruins immersion. It’s time we get some game sliders, a deep aerial game and realistic defensive system.
I started playing pes in 2016 feeling pessimistic as i only played fifa before and i fell in love with its gameplay, it plays right in the pitch. The only thing that i don't like about it are the team names and the kit.
If you play 1 hour of PES and then you play 1 hour of FIFA you will feel that FIFA is a prototype next to PES. Licence don't make games, gameplay makes games. But we are talking about EA after all.
PES Master League is far superior to manager career in FIFA. It's not even close. The stats, the tactics, the cutscenes, the training, etc. Master League is so full. It's what ive been requesting in a career mode in a football game but EA never cared.
Awesome review. Been a fan of the series since 2003, and PES 2004 was actually the one that tested my patience. They made it look like FIFA, which killed it. Thank God the realized the mistake and made PES 2005, which is still the best one. Though they completely killed Thiery Heanry for some reason. He was never good in PES series.

In the demo my attack felt really good and scoring felt amazing in the full game I can't score fuck all all players are sluggish and arnt able to keep the ball at close control,but the demo I could do all that. ☹
If you are a die-hard fans of PES, you should know that licensing has never been an issue (unless you are playing on Xbox One) with all the community patches you can install & have all the licenses, kits, stadiums you like in minutes. Konami is a tiny company compare to EA, and why not just let EA waste all their money on licenses to attract fans who care more about skins than game-play. As PES fans, we should all try to educate people who doesn't know about that instead of keep repeating the false notion of "playing PES means playing with fake player names & kits." That's EA propaganda and not fans who knows about PES. I hope this would allow Konami to spend more money on improving game-play instead. You've also forgotten to mention a huge graphic improvement this year & some of the other MyClub changes like duplicate players and such. Game mode such as Coop is so underrated also. Just downloaded the latest option file,paid 5 bucks (well worth it) and have to say WOW, what a game. Best PES in about 8/9 years IMO. Playing this game is almost a sexual experience(If you're a kid, you're going to understand 1day) option file from PESUNIVERSE is the best 1.
@@420sakura1 It depends on what what you actually play. To be straightforward, PES cannot offer you ProClubs and that's the only mode they don't have. Divisions, MyClub(PES FUT) Master League(CareerMode), random selection mode(sort of like FUT Draft) The ONLY MAJOR LICENSE they didn't have is the Bundesliga league, means that not only the jerseys are missing the while leagues are missing too. If you're on PS4 you can patch it. BUT ofcourse you can't use teams or players online like MyClub but more variety for popular offline mode: Master League. The rest like EPL, SERIE A, LA LIGA... May still have leagues and teams in it but only the kits are not there which isn't a problem. But one downgrade I would say for teams is that they removed lower tier for SERIE B and the LA LIGA lower tier. It honestly takes time to learn the game and mechanics. Tricks are different. But everything is covered, there's tool for defending and attacking even there's smart AI to help you. So, if you lose you can't blame the game mechanics, momentum, kick off glitch or other FIFA glitches but yourself. I don't get angry as much as when I played fifa!! In the end of the day, it's all about satisfaction right?? You're home from work or taking a break in the weekends to play and relax not to rage or cursing at the TV right?? PES will give you just that. It's a fun and rewarding game. To be honest, there's a lot of freedom in terms of tactics, so many formations and tactics options, not to mention sliders how narrow or wide your team will be, or high or low you want your defence to be. It's so customisable that you can adjust all positions in your formation. You can be as weird as you like. 5-0-5 also can!! Hahaha but not for MyClub as your formation depends on who your manager is. It will not be OP because the game is balanced. You can't sprint from box to box within seconds or ping pong passing or spam lob through balls like in FIFA. Everything in the gameplay is based on realism that's why I won't get mad if they misplaced passes or shots. You can counter every formation and tactics, that's why you don't need to be afraid of weird formations like 5-0-5 or 4-2-4...etc Don't for get to watch youtubers for more info: SpoonyPizzas, PESEP, TheTrueBrits, DR.SAMx. Ya that's correct eventhough shooting is more fun in fifa games but earning a goal in PES 2019 gives you a different kinda satisfaction sometimes you do those fist pump as well after fantastic planed & executed goal 😂
I think when you have to read the list of licensed leagues from your phone, you can't really call them "fantastic" additions. The Russian league being in the game is going to make no difference whatsoever to the vast majority of players.

Came from fifa this year to play pes 19 I played the demo and loved it bought the full game and they are both very different so disappointed,on the demo I won a good amount of online games but in the full game I haven't won a single game something isn't right now I'm already starting to hate the full game only after 3 days,why is it so different to the demo.? Online gameplay feels like fifa but the demo was so good.
With the demo it was a mixture of players that don't really play pes and the normal crowd. Now the full game is out your more than likely playing against people who have played for years.
Played the demo. Loved it but not going to buy it this year. Every year I buy it play it for couple of weeks and then shelf it. They need ti buy the bloody licence for PL at least. Fun game play yes but all other acpects are missing
L C Actually Konami has tweaked and improved negotiation for transfers and more licensed leagues, budget management, added resell and clean sheet options, new newsfeed system, more accurate and realistic player development so actually there's a lot they changed and added. Try playing the game before you make asinine comments like that.

Lack of licences doesn't matter, but have to admit Konami disappointed this year. Outrageous transfers, like in PES18, still exist in the Master League this year too. Konami should have cared a little bit more about the offline players. Also, gameplay wise, the AI so far refuses to take a direct shot from outside the box no matter what. Hope, Konami will sort this out with the next update.
I am going to get fifa and Pes this year I have been on fifa since 2004 and I don't like ultimate team cos its basically pay to win, online seasons is too easy and career mode which is my go to is piss poor and the manager mode on Pes looks different level but not being able to play in my teams real stadium will bother me a bit but the gameplay looks better
It's good no doubt about it but there are so many of us who just can't connect to their servers...I have paid for playing online that's the reason why ppl buy it. ..or else if I wanted offline mode I would have just downloaded the crack version

Do you know how to adjust the referee setting so there is more calls? In PES 19 players are hitting each other all game and no foul calls.
PES has better gameplay, have sunk 400+ hours in Pes 2017.
However, everything else, FIFA does better, much better.

In pes 19 the goalkeeper doesnt charge when a player is approaching alone.

Thank God the realized the mistake and made PES 2005, which is still the best one. Though they completely killed Thiery Heanry for some reason. He was never good in PES series.

pes2019 goalkeepers are great - they make great saves and sometimes they make mistakes ( like real keepers)

Pes controls really well, but I find little incentive to buy it instead of fifa, and this doesn't look like a good year to switch tbh
Pes has many problems but Fifa really very poor about gameplay and realism. If you know about football good, Pes gameplay&ambiance will attract you.

In the demo my attack felt really good and scoring felt amazing in the full game I can't score fuck all all players are sluggish and arnt able to keep the ball at close control,but the demo I could do all that. ☹
If you are a die-hard fans of PES, you should know that licensing has never been an issue (unless you are playing on Xbox One) with all the community patches you can install & have all the licenses, kits, stadiums you like in minutes. Konami is a tiny company compare to EA, and why not just let EA waste all their money on licenses to attract fans who care more about skins than game-play. As PES fans, we should all try to educate people who doesn't know about that instead of keep repeating the false notion of "playing PES means playing with fake player names & kits." That's EA propaganda and not fans who knows about PES. I hope this would allow Konami to spend more money on improving game-play instead. You've also forgotten to mention a huge graphic improvement this year & some of the other MyClub changes like duplicate players and such. Game mode such as Coop is so underrated also. Anyway take care & have fun playing PES online or offline!

Just downloaded the latest option file,paid 5 bucks (well worth it) and have to say WOW, what a game. Best PES in about 8/9 years IMO. Playing this game is almost a sexual experience(If you're a kid, you're going to understand 1day)

@@420sakura1 It depends on what what you actually play. To be straightforward, PES cannot offer you ProClubs and that's the only mode they don't have. Divisions, MyClub(PES FUT) Master League(CareerMode), random selection mode(sort of like FUT Draft)
The ONLY MAJOR LICENSE they didn't have is the Bundesliga league, means that not only the jerseys are missing the while leagues are missing too. If you're on PS4 you can patch it. BUT ofcourse you can't use teams or players online like MyClub but more variety for popular offline mode: Master League.
The rest like EPL, SERIE A, LA LIGA... May still have leagues and teams in it but only the kits are not there which isn't a problem. But one downgrade I would say for teams is that they removed lower tier for SERIE B and the LA LIGA lower tier.
It honestly takes time to learn the game and mechanics. Tricks are different. But everything is covered, there's tool for defending and attacking even there's smart AI to help you. So, if you lose you can't blame the game mechanics, momentum, kick off glitch or other FIFA glitches but yourself. I don't get angry as much as when I played fifa!!
In the end of the day, it's all about satisfaction right?? You're home from work or taking a break in the weekends to play and relax not to rage or cursing at the TV right?? PES will give you just that. It's a fun and rewarding game.
To be honest, there's a lot of freedom in terms of tactics, so many formations and tactics options, not to mention sliders how narrow or wide your team will be, or high or low you want your defence to be. It's so customisable that you can adjust all positions in your formation. You can be as weird as you like. 5-0-5 also can!! Hahaha but not for MyClub as your formation depends on who your manager is.
It will not be OP because the game is balanced. You can't sprint from box to box within seconds or ping pong passing or spam lob through balls like in FIFA. Everything in the gameplay is based on realism that's why I won't get mad if they misplaced passes or shots. You can counter every formation and tactics, that's why you don't need to be afraid of weird formations like 5-0-5 or 4-2-4...etc

Ya that's correct eventhough shooting is more fun in fifa games but earning a goal in PES 2019 gives you a different kinda satisfaction sometimes you do those fist pump as well after fantastic planed & executed goal 😂
I think when you have to read the list of licensed leagues from your phone, you can't really call them "fantastic" additions. The Russian league being in the game is going to make no difference whatsoever to the vast majority of players.
It may of had an upgrade but AI defending is still pretty poor

Better Gameplay,Realism and Graphics than FIFA.Also has better offline modes than FIFA. More enjoyable My Club than FUT . Lacks in licenses for leagues,teams, stadiums and scoreboard for leagues (eg Ligue 1)
FIFA:
More Leagues, Stadiums,teams and better presentation. Also has better My Club/FUT modes. Lacks in Graphics,Realism and Gameplay.
Goalkeeper upgrade? they don't even come off their line
Came from fifa this year to play pes 19 I played the demo and loved it bought the full game and they are both very different so disappointed,on the demo I won a good amount of online games but in the full game I haven't won a single game something isn't right now I'm already starting to hate the full game only after 3 days,why is it so different to the demo.? Online gameplay feels like fifa but the demo was so good.

With the demo it was a mixture of players that don't really play pes and the normal crowd. Now the full game is out your more than likely playing against people who have played for years.
True but I felt the on the demo that the gameplay was sharper and input lag wasn't as bad....but it is what it is

Played the demo. Loved it but not going to buy it this year. Every year I buy it play it for couple of weeks and then shelf it. They need ti buy the bloody licence for PL at least.

L C Actually Konami has tweaked and improved negotiation for transfers and more licensed leagues, budget management, added resell and clean sheet options, new newsfeed system, more accurate and realistic player development so actually there's a lot they changed and added. Try playing the game before you make asinine comments like that.

Lack of licences doesn't matter, but have to admit Konami disappointed this year. Outrageous transfers, like in PES18, still exist in the Master League this year too. Konami should have cared a little bit more about the offline players. Also, gameplay wise, the AI so far refuses to take a direct shot from outside the box no matter what. Hope, Konami will sort this out with the next update.

I am going to get fifa and Pes this year I have been on fifa since 2004 and I don't like ultimate team cos its basically pay to win, online seasons is too easy and career mode which is my go to is piss poor and the manager mode on Pes looks different level but not being able to play in my teams real stadium will bother me a bit but the gameplay looks better

It's good no doubt about it but there are so many of us who just can't connect to their servers...I have paid for playing online that's the reason why ppl buy it. ..or else if I wanted offline mode I would have just downloaded the crack version
