And for one more year there is no mention in your review about the PC version that is a port from the ps3/x360 version. Not many play it on PC but KONAMI shows its laziness once again...
Defending is top notch, i can't agree that it took a step back from last year, it's actually way more responsive than PES 2016. Don't get me wrong, I think PES is coming back to what made it great in the first place, but in this day and age, you have to have a strong online offering. I would love nothing more than to see them flesh out online and really give me a reason to want this game, but compared to FIFA it isn't even close in that area (I play Seasons mode, not FUT). Hoping to get into Pro Clubs this year, because of the improvements there. Time will tell.
I never have trouble with the online experience. PES has been whooping FIFA's butt for quite a while now. With the exception of PES 2014, every PES has ruled the football experience. FIFA will always have the sales because of the official licences and that's it. I downloaded an option file days before the game came out and now i'm enjoying the game at 100%.
PES can not purchase licenses because EA Sports makes it almost impossible for another company to obtain the same licenses. For example EA sports lost the League of Brazil contract because they wanted 150 million for their league, So nonetheless EA Sports cut that entire league out of the game. But FIFA is an actual organization (again EA Sports also pays millions to keep licenses but not all leagues are under FIFA), and since the game is called EA Sports FIFA. If PES obtains a major contract from FIFA, PES will top EA Sports in a few years.

That's your humble opinion, not a fact. People prefer FIFA because they just want to sit on a couch and have a fun time with friends without worrying about complicated mechanics. PES is more inclined to competitive gameplay, which for a lot of people is a turn-off.
Considering that PES has no Bundesliga I don't even know why they bother making it......they should first and foremost ensure they can include the Bundesliga and then worry about bothering to make a game.....otherwise it's all for nothing.

All the reviews of this game are bullshit. Here is the honesty - Long balls are the only (substantial) thing better in PES than in FIFA. In PES: the referees are brain dead,for some reason don't even follow their own logic,the AI is dumb,not as bad as the refs but still worse than FIFA 14 (the last FIFA game I played extensively),there are like "4" licensed stadiums (they put San Siro in there twice with a different picture hoping people won't notice),there is a bizarre lack of option customization,no attention to detail in the stats of smaller teams 80% of Dynamo Kiev players (for example) have something wrong about them,be it position,primary foot or fucking age!!! And Dynamo plays in the Champions League and is one of the few fully licensed teams. The prices in Master League for players are weirdly high for average players (I managed to sell Denys Boyko for 28 mil euro after asking for more money once) and weirdly low for good players (Rashford for 10 mil,Oblak for 24 on a 5 year deal,Xhaka for 30 etc.) And I installed all the mods so licenses weren't much of a problem for me,this game just sucks.

FIFA is better for starters, controls are easier to learn, it is the more popular one, and licensing deals means that it has all the actual team names, unlike PES.
The game looks fun but if I'm able to play pro clubs and use Real Salt Lake an play on full manual controls they I'd get the game.. I don't play Ultimate Team haha don't see the point of it
