@@xx-vl6kh they can't really loose the license at once because they have money machine which is FUT if you notice since they made FUT they upped their licensing war with Konami. The only way is if Fifa makes the law that no league or teams should be exclusive to konami or EA, but I doubt something like that will happen because FIFA and EA are exclusive partners for so long like the current deal is 9 years 2013-2022 I think EA are trying to buy football license the way they bought Madden. FIFA is corrupt that's why things goes in EA sports way. I really hope this ends soon tho I can't stand it anymore
In a sense....I see it as .....'cause Pes doesn't have those licenses....they can focus on what's important...THE GAME...
FIFA ...focuses on licenses...and the game itself...doesn't change much....FIFA is everywhere....and it sorta limits them (even with so much money)
Pes are sorta "limited" on licenses...so they can spend that much time and effort on gameplay....the game itself...besides...no one can have everything.....

And then...Pes has its gameplay / realism..there must be balance lol

Sbrah_98 he's involved in pretty much all madrids goals. He holds up the ball to allow bale asensio to make runs.
This is a huge step up from the last PES. This even looks more realistic. I've played FIFA and PES but scoring a goal in PES is much more satisfying.

I own both games. PES is the better game. Some problems, AI can be a bit thick but overall much more like real football. Real phases of play. FIFA is just a full on turbo sprint end to end for 90 minutes utter nonsense.
Real talk. I was a FIFA fan for years but I have to say pro pisses on fifa for game play realism I love pro 18 just need to complete that then pro 19 next. I don't play FIFA now, pro evo got me hooked, it's like real football. Fifa has the licence advantage which is no fault of pro evo. Real footballers will prefer pro
PES looks and plays light years ahead of FIFA this year.. Imagine what it'll be like when they iron out the games creases with the planned patch later this month. 😁

@@realnesx pesuniverse do an option file. I downloaded it for £5. Bang, everything looks official. Even has Champions League, obviously minus the walk on presentation.
Saw another option file which has legendary teams created. 90's AC Milan etc. Also pesuniverse. Those guys are legends for making these option files.

Great review. Best one I've seen yet. I've been a FIFA guy for 20 years. Not anymore. PES 2019 is the best football game I've ever played. Not perfect, but full of substance and not just bells and whistles like FIFA.

I've had both games for the past 4 years and fifa is cool until the match starts. Then its like playing ping pong. I guess thats why most fifa youtube channels focus on exchanging cards and stupid shit like that.
The more you play PES the more addictive it gets, at first I wasn’t impressed but then I got really attached to it and now I cannot imagine going back to FIFA ever again!
Anyone who watches Football (Soccer) or play it will know PES 2019 got it right. It feels right, the physics of the ball, trajectory, etc like mentioned in this video is seriously on point. PES 2019 spent their time perfecting it, it shows. FIFA 19 just don't have the FEEL of the ball physics. Yes they very well beat PES 2019 in terms of presentation, modes, etc. But at its core, PES 2019 gets Football while FIFA simply just don't.

The game modes and content is the reason FIFA sells more copies. PES only has gameplay going for it, online sucks, the gameplay is only good offline. Ever wonder why big you tubers don't play PES competitively?

FIFA will still be the king as long as it keeps all those gamemodes and PES wont do anything about it. 99% of the FIFA playerbase (myself included) play FIFA because the gamemodes, mostly the online ones. PES doesnt have all of this. Playing Coop Seasons with a friend for example, is a lot better than playing PES just cause realism.
What game modes ?!?! Fifa 19 have divisions - Pes have also divisions... Fifa 19 have cups only from 2 to 2 weeks at weekends - Pes have every weekend... Pes have also Pes league.... Fifa no... Pes have personal ranking... fifa no... Fifa have pro clubs... Pes have 3 vs 3, wich is better realised and nore fun... Fifa have ultimate team - Pes have my club ( yes my club is scripted, they must eliminate the script and in this way my club would be better, more realistic... Btw see FUT champions scores... ALL the scores re handball scores 8-5 7-3 etc... Just watch this detail lol ) PES needs to improve the atmosphere! P Drury is very good, but in real life, he should comment in the same way in the game
After watching this, fifa 19 feels like PES 2003. These are beautiful Physics.
I'd say that a problem with the AI is that it tends to play very defensively and spams you with low crosses.
Hopefully they'll fix that. They already issued a statement on twitter and there's a patch incoming end of October.

I came back to "soccer" games back in 2010 after a decade away. I have owned all FIFAs since 2010, but tried PES after leaving that a long long time ago as a teen when it was ISSS. It had great gameplay then, but the players were not real. Got back to PES in 2016. Then skipped PES 17 and got PES 18. 18 really started to look "real". So now I got PES 19 and frankly the first time I fired it up in 4k I was amazed. PES in many aspects has surpassed FIFA. Personally I think it is more realistic and more rewarding. When I score most goals in FIFA, they seem most of the time SUPERHUMAN goals. Now by tradition, I still get FIFA every year. I just must but I play way more PES. For instance I only played 6 matches in FIFA 18 (bought on Origin release date).
Good overview. Finally someone who sounds like you actually know something about PES and know how to play it. In so many reviews a 'pro-pes' player can just hear through that the guy doesn't know what he's talking about.
Couldn't agree more on small things what you mention like difficulty of pulling of successful headers.

Played both games before. Been playing football games since 2003. I need a good online matches, relaxed chilled full of fun and nice gameplay. Did PES improved with online and you can actually have a nice match?
Also want to appreciate this very fair review. I agree with all your points especially the cons of PES 2019. The header issues to is so annoying though, I have scored less headers than I have black balls in PES 2019! And the crazy refereeing!

Amazing video, really is a service to how well engineered this game is as a true Football simulator. I'd have maybe liked you to point out the flaws with Goalkeepers staying on their line alot but you offered a lot of fair criticism too. Great review & video.
I d say the one animation konami still need to add is players holding up the ball ( i.e shielding the ball up near the corner flag, or to let the ball run off course). Right now if you super cancel when you think the ball s about to go out, the player doesnt automatically try to shield or prevent the opponent from running ahead and getting the ball back!

I was an avid PES fan since the 90’s but around 2011/12 I decided to switch to FIFA because the franchise seemed to be stagnating. Is this a good time to come back?

Hey Marek, I'm only playing with graphics set to High. I guess it looks good because I'm using nesa24's tool and my Camera settings from last year to mimic real-life TV broadcasts.

This makes me want to get PES. This year defs did it for me with fifa, I'm not getting it. Killing career mode proves they dont give a shit about their fans.

My first fifa was fifa 18 and this convinced me to get back to PES
It's so annoying how pes 19 looks better than 20 and 21 now we have efootball. Konami are going down
The main thing I want from football sim games is that feeling of reality coupled with the learning curve to mastery that is akin to that which you get in real life as you become good/great at elements of the game, e.g. ball touch, passing, control (with accurate/consistent physics) and that satisfying rush you get when you apply it perfectly in-game and beat your opponent; be it a flick, dummy or change of pace, like real life. This looks like a really good attempt at that. I hope tackling is realistic too.
I've been saying this for a long long time, pes ball physics have always been not only better but the best, ever since 2005 when it became pes not winning eleven
So is this an edited version from the stock game? I don't own a console (or PC) right now but would seriously invest in a ps4 and pes 2019 if it is like this. Those camera angles look sick! Very tempting.

Looks cool and I like the realism on the fouls, but the players all look rapid, and things like the linemans stuttering as he’s running
I was very judgmental of how stale PES had become during the past 5-6 years (even though FIFA slowly becomes worse and worse), but I have to admit this year's edition looks pretty sweet. Might actually buy the game for the first time since 2012 (I won copies of 13 and 14 in competitions and was playing at friends' places up until 2016).
PES always had this more simulation approach to football while FIFA is centered in being more arcadey, and it seems they kept this tradition going, this game looks amazing, it really does, on PC PES lags though so I won't be playing it unless I find a great deal on a PS4.

I used to be a huge pes fan back in the day, but then they went into a slump and fifa was king. Fifa has better ingame visuals and cutscenes but it cant beat PES on gameplay. PES ball acts like real one, FIFA ball acts like frozen and ice hockeyed...
I was shocked to see the keeper improvements. I managed to capture a goal keeper deflection save on PES 2019. It was damn realistic and intelligent keeping. The video is on my channel.

What option files do you use for your custom teams? They look good.
FIFA is a full arcade game. It sucks. It's not realistic. But the license stuff and the continuous ultimate team support makes it more famous.

how do you do that first touch away from defenders? you seem to turn defenders easy....i need to know this
Make sure you release sprint when pushing the direction button upon receiving the ball. Also, you can double tap R2 to push it away with a feint on first touch.
