I've learned a lot watching your channel and I've been able to do a few small maintenance and things on my boat by myself due to watching your videos.. but I have a question, I have a 2005 STRATOS 200 Pro XL and I already have the flow rite system that comes factory and I have the research and empty system that you changed over to in this boat. But I don't have or don't know how to get my live well to pump out, and what I mean is when I run my bilge pump of course it kicks on like it should when I get too much water in the hull, but when I want to feel my weigh in bag with water, I can't seem to figure out the configuration or the puzzle to get water to pump out beside bilge pump holes manually, it only works on an automatic system when I'm on the lake and I get too much water in the boat it kicks on and water sprays outside of the boat, I just hate getting underneath the motor and turning my system to empty to drain my livewells to catch water for my bag, and I researched it to some extent but I just get lost in the language because this is my first boat, well let me rephrase that this is not my first boat this is just my first fiberglass bass boat. Do you have any suggestions or do you know anything about that particular issue? All I know is that I have this number three system of flow rite.. and for what I have been able to figure out systems one three and five have a pump out but I can't seem to find mine or make it work right.. thanks and another good video as always
Thanks! I’m glad my videos are useful! On the live well system that I installed on my Ranger, it doesn’t have the pump out feature. The three settings are auto , empty, and recirculation. If you have it on auto it will automatically fill the livewell and the excess water should go out the overflow through the tubing to the back of the boat. If you have it on recirculation then that will circulate the water from the live well through the aerator pump and back through the live well. On this feature you will be able to keep your live wells full when you take your boat off the water. The empty feature will allow the livewell to drain when you take your boat out of the water and it will also drain when your boat is on plane. The livewell systems that have the pump out feature through flow rite utilize a an extra valve and an extra hose to pump out on the side of the boat using the aerator pump. All Livewells should only drain to the outside of the boat- it should not empty into the bilge of your boat. I appreciate you watching. I hope this info helps.
I used Attwood pumps 4643-7, Flow-Rite 3 position valves MV-03-RN01 V3, Flow-Rite 10ft cable (figure out what length you need), Flow-Rite controls RK3-BW
@@day2xs208 this livewell setup has 3 positions-auto empty and recirculation. If you turn the valve to recirculation mode before you launch the boat and get on the water then your live wells won’t fill up.
I didn’t replace the entire hose to the drain on the front livewell because on my boat there’s not an access for the hoses on the front. So, I used a 3/4” splice and hose clamps to connect to the old hose and checked it for leaks after I made the repair. The hose for the rear drain is easily accessible, so I did replace that hose with new 3/4” vinyl hose.
@@CTRadventures the 3 position valve setup has fill, empty, & recirc. Recirc mode allows you to pull your boat out of the water and still have your live well full and recirculating in case you have to trailer your boat to weigh in for a tournament.

What would you call this livewell setup. I have a 87 arrow glass bass boat with dual livewells such as yours but I can't find any upgrade videos and with that is there a drain plug you put in or a overflow tube
With this set up you don’t use the drain plug anymore but it still utilizes an overflow. The system that I am using is the flow rite V3 valve system. Some good videos of explanation can be found on the flow rite website. This system has drain, fill, and recirculation mode. This system is closest to what they have on the newer Ranger bass boats.
@@ProWrenching then I would have to get a T for the aerator? Line? It looks like the origional has a 3 way valve. This is all new to me so I appreciate your patience and understanding.
@@CTRadventures on my boat, there is no T required b/c the valve attaches directly to the pump. During fill mode the pump draws water from the transom through the pump to the live well and the excess water will drain out the overflow drain. During recirculation mode, the pump will draw water from the live well drain and pump it back through to the live well.in the drain position, the water will exit the live well drain through the valve to the back of the transom.
