Billy and Eddy together again
Eddie could play like a man possessed. He could bend 'em as well as Duane Eddy. He could play intricate, fast or slow. Eddie had something I'll call "feel" because he could feel what was needed and go there. I can't imagine Billy's loss when Eddie passed. He is now with him, but thankfully we have great musical memories of songs, videos, and certain times in our lives connected through what Billy Joe gave us.
One of the most under rated Country Musicians of all times, he had that outlaw sound.
Absolutely. He's definitely at the top of the list as far as under rated country artist, with Townes or Jerry Reed a close second in my opinion. It's amazing how much incredible talent came out of only a few decades.
Billy Joe Shaver RIP...An American Treasure🇺🇸
Billy Joe is one of my favorite country song writers....brilliant lyrics. And Holy Moly Eddy sure coud throw down on that Strat. I will miss them both, but I’ll never stop listening to their songs. RIP.
A country Strat player
Billy Joe should be on the $100 bill or Mt Rushmore. He was that great!!! R.I.P.
Billy Joe was so proud of Eddie. 🥺💔
Bob Dylan and Billy Joe Shaver are the 2 greatest songwriters in American history.
And John Prine.. we've lost some good ones this year... Kristofferson and Willie still kicking and I wish those two many more years
Can we add Kris to that mix?
@@psmguy63 Kristofferson is in the mix for sure
Merle too
The way the good Lord intended music to sound
Eddy and Billy. What a mountain of talent we will never see again. Such guitar playing and songwriting in the same bloodline.
RIP Billy Joe, it was a great ride
Eddy Shaver was untimely plucked from us by the rapacious hands of the needle and the spoon. He will be forever missed. Especially by his dear old daddy.
And Todd Snider
Is Eddy shaver dead?
Billy and Eddy are in heaven now
@@chickmcdonald7188 he died in the 90s
Never feel sorry for druggy's. They didn't care for themselves.
"You can't help a man who isn't willing to help himself."
He was such a wonderful performer. You can show me a million musicians that are more “technically proficient” but not one of them will be as expressive or have as much personality on stage as this man. Any live footage you see of him you can tell he’s doing what he loves. There will never be a songwriter of equal talent. His contribution to music is undeniable and I know that he will continue to be appreciated and be a source of inspiration for years to come. God bless you Billy Joe Shaver and may you Rest In Peace. You’re going to live forever now just as you said you would.
