I know LOT'S of people that work more blue collar jobs and have Raptors and other such trucks. Pricing is a function of the entire vehicle industry. Ford, like all manufacturers, need to make high margin on these types of vehicles in order to offset the losses on their less popular vehicles. That's how all industries work. Plus, the new Ranger cost billions (yes, with a B) to develop and get to production so they have to make up that cost plus profit somehow. 🙂

I hear people complaining about styling, and they're right, but know that styling like everything we like and own is subjective in the first place. What you don't like, does not affect someone else's decision. What you like, someone else doesn't. On the other hand, the market is open and wide, you can as well move over to other brands. Styling is indeed subjective.

The auto press/media said many years ago that Ridgeline would be influential.
Others would be copying off it.
The Dual Action Tailgate of 1st Gen Ridgeline. That brought about pickup truck tailgate wars. The Ridgeline used old station wagon tailgate swing drop.
Ram with it's Barn Door style. Others with adjustable and tricks in them.
The Ridgeline in-bed trunk Ford and other EV Pickup Truck have Frumps for storage. Hyundai Santa Cruz little in-bed storage. GM little tailgate storage.
Maverick and Santa Cruz Unibody pickup trucks. They are all flocking to that Maverick. Probably a lot that criticized the Ridgeline. The lay-flat bed that can hold those 4×8 sheets if plywood or drywall flat. This is in the midsized truck segment with plywood.
The speakers in the truck bed walls of Ridgeline RTL-E and Black Edition trims.
Toyota or somebody. got a removal Bluetooth speaker. Kicked was doing something for another pickup truck.

@mohammedbinmahfooz5791 thank you for your detailed reply regarding your fuel economy. For a 400 hp engine your averages seem very acceptable. I guess if someone is looking for 20+ mpg don't be looking at a raptor. Cheers. Good luck with the new truck.

I realize it may seem ' Knit picky ' but to bring up a point, Why does the '24 go back to useing a support rod to brace up the hood while much ealier models ( 2019 + ) use hood struts ? Their so much better all the way around and again, point being, why is it one step forward, then two steps back while the cost seem to only go in one direction, which is UP !

I won’t be paying dealer markups. Going in with 4 Trucks I’d be happy with from multiple dealers. if they mark it up, I let them know I’m ready to purchase THAT DAY, but won’t be purchasing over MSRP. Peg them on the out-the-door price & not a penny more so that they don’t try to make up what they lost on the insane markup via stupid add-ons. Someone will be taking my money, and one dealer will get a sale & earn my future business.

Also about the price you have to consider that is says starting price but all the extras are already included in this price for the Ranger Raptor. It is the best valued high performance vehicle on the market. It is incomparable to its "competition". If you have 49,000 to spare for a truck, then you most likely have 56,000 available too. You might as well buy the best one.

I wonder why the US build has not moved the centre high mounted brake light to the tailgate like the new gen built in S. Africa and Thailand? Also at least in the UK the 4A road mode in auto 4wd is standard on XLT and above, at least from the May price list forward. Also we get the diesel engines rather than gas engines. The 2.0l with one or two turbos and the V6, all with DEF/Adblue. All apart from Raptor with 2200lb or more payload and 7700 lb towing capacity if 4wd which 99% of sales are.
