This is a quad /atv that myself & my father built, we took a 2005 yfz 450 & had an old 2001 gsx600f motor laying with all the essentials needed to make it run (oil cooled) & stuffed it in. I let it sit for about a year ish after doing all the hard work and decided to trade this beast for a kids quad for my son (suzuki 125 or something) i really didnt want to get rid of it but at least chris finished up the few minor things neccessary to do some pulls. He still needs to make a tensioner system due to the angle of the chain after weight is applied to the seat (spring loaded of some sort?)

Clutch is slipping bad it's not a GSXR it's a GSX600F engine not as much HP as a GSXR plus it is a older suzuki engine.........

That clutch is slipping pretty bad, theres possibility that you will have a better outcome from it if you getvit fixed but awesome ride you got there
where did u get your sprockets
USEd the sprocket from the engine left it on and used the street bike chain and stock yfz rear sprocket t worked fine lol it didnt even tear up the rear sprocket like i thought

I built one of those but used a cbr600 engine. Same frame. It was fast but sooooo heavy.

Click bait! It never does 100..... it does 65-70..... which is do able on a 400 with minimal upgrades. I’d b disappointed as hell if I put that much into a 450, just to have it run about like a slightly super up 400!
Ahnnn wrong! I had a car next to it lmao he was in 4th gear with the clutch slipping doing 70 lmao, ive built a couple of these and they do well over 100mph with ease!!!

Stupid fast is right if he fixes the clutch cable it will do over 100 it's a street bike motor on a four wheeler not much of a difference but the sprockets
@@StupidFastJohn Maybe the WILL do that if properly set up, but he's correct. This one won't. In the video, it only goes 65 (in fact, if you pause it at 2:35 and look at your speedometer, 65 is being generous. More like 62.) Sure, a Katana engine has the potential to make a 400lb quad go 100 mph, but your's doesn't. Fix the clutch and then post another video of it actually going 100 mph and it won't be click bait.
As an FYI, a bone stock Quadzilla will run 80 mph without even changing the gearing. And with a different pipe, jetting, sprockets, and front fender trimming, they have been verified to go over 100. So it seems like all the work to transplant a street bike engine into this YFZ was for not much gain.
@@billfish9061 No one is saying it's not possible. But the title to the video says 100 plus MPH, and the video only shows a quad going about 62 (pause on speedometer at about 2:35 to see the speed.) That's not as fast as the quad could have went with its stock 450 ATV motor. This quad is clearly not capable of even close to 100 mph unless it's clutch is fixed, and possibly some other things addressed. Then it might have a chance. But there is a huge difference between street bikes and quads. Way more rolling resistance and wind resistance, especially at higher speeds. The rear tires are only about 20" or less tall meaning the rear axle, hubs, and wheels (which are many times heavier than the single skinny rear wheel and hub on a motorcycle) have to turn that much faster.

@steve christakos.... lots of 450s run with 700s, they are in the same class as far as speed... hell, Polaris has some 500s and 550s that will outrun a Honda or Yamaha 700...
