You’d be surprised how easy it is. You don’t get the sheer aggressive wheelies like the 1000’s. It’s after 100mph where the power of a 1000 shows. I could get my ninja 600 off the line way faster than my R1.
The Quad must still be using gearing meant for courses a quad would be on. I had the opportunity to ride a Honda once that the owner slapped in a CR1000RR motor on. It was BAD!
5k? You can pick up zx9r's for less than 1.5k and they run high nines to low 10's all day if you have the skill to do it. My 1993 zzr600 i bought to piss around with would of beat the quad and mclaren and i paid 300 quid for it 🤣🤣

this 600cc still has a better power to weight radio than the 570s. And this is just a 1/4 mile race over the longer distance the mclaren would easily beat the suzuki. mclaren has a faster top end

That 600cc's 1/4 mile time was very impressive. Less than a second off the 240hp HR2's time and 0.30 seconds behind a R1 in the 1/4 mile. I'm a former owner of two GSXR-600 models (before moving up) and I've been telling people for years that unless you track your bike regularly there's very little difference between sport bikes under 100 mph. Even on the track a skilled rider can keep up with average riders on liter bikes. If I could only pick one of these machines it's obviously the Maclaren. Drive it for a bit then sell to buy a Ducati Panigale V4R, a replacement car, and use the rest on the inevitable maintenance for the Ducati.
And this is why Aero matters. You could toss a 220kg R1 into the mix which also has crap aero compared to the Macs CoD and it'd cleanly crush through that 120-150 range. Crazy to see just how much it hit a brick wall, it's first few gears seem ridiculous. Awesome video and range of vehicles 👌
Pedalling the 600 is way more difficult. 600's like that are very difficult to launch and you always have to be in the right gear otherwise they tend to be as flat as pancakes (my first bike was a 2009 GSX-R600/K9).

absolutely insane races as much as the bike won the majority of the races I’m really not a huge fan of bikes so I would always pick 4 wheels over 2 but either way that bike is stupidly fast revving to 16000 rpm is just ridiculous

The only problem though is to go fast you have to Rev the nuts off a 600 to go anywhere, they just have no torque whatsoever I had a mate with a GSXR600 and I had a wee little sv650s at the time He couldn’t launch his bike and I could, I could crack under 4 seconds to 60, and by the time he had got going, I was already doing 60-70, so he was well into jail speeds by the time he passed me again. Of course from a roll it was no contest though

Great race, the quads need more aero clear to see in the drag race. They are insane builds though and it's good to finally see their capability against a sports bike
600's sports bikes all tend to be very fast, you just have to rev them hard. My first bike was a GSX-R600 like the one in the video but I'd say they aren't always the best on public roads as they tend to be flat below 8,000rpm and it's not always easy to access the performance on city roads but when you do, they are amazing. I prefer bikes with much more torque (usually 1000cc and above).
sick races Jamie! I would say that bikes/atv's (specially bikes) should have their own leaderboard as even though the times are similar to cars - its much easier to run those in a bike than in a race car (just a thought) - overall - amazing job bro
I had a gsxr 600 l1 before I became a dad. Then it went. But I put a quick shifter on it so full throttle no clutch gear charges, nothing beat me in my 5 years of riding as a daily. 4 wheels moves the body but 2 wheels moves the soul.

Some proper close racing here, not what i expected at all. That Quad is RAPID, i think the only thing letting it down from possible total domination is possibly aerodynamics? It tears off at staggering speed and then seems to hit a wall as the speeds rise. Maybe some kind of fairing is needed for aerodynamics? Either that or some weight loss or a bit more power (just imagine a Supercharger on that beast! Or running meth?) Its crazy that a Quad is keeping up with a proper sportsbike and a supercar!

Yup I went back in looked and there wasn’t a single race where he didn’t bounce at least once or twice! 🫠
Could be a wheel speed sensor issue or something as it is a swap, which may be causing a false RPM reading if it is using a stock dash.
Crazy to think that you can get that kind of performance for less than 5k 👍🏼 love little 600s they are so much fun 👌🏼

My first bike was a GSX-R600 like the one in the video but I'd say they aren't always the best on public roads as they tend to be flat below 8,000rpm and it's not always easy to access the performance on city roads but when you do, they are amazing. I prefer bikes with much more torque (usually 1000cc and above).

sick races Jamie! I would say that bikes/atv's (specially bikes) should have their own leaderboard as even though the times are similar to cars - its much easier to run those in a bike than in a race car (just a thought) - overall - amazing job bro

I had a gsxr 600 l1 before I became a dad. Then it went. But I put a quick shifter on it so full throttle no clutch gear charges, nothing beat me in my 5 years of riding as a daily. 4 wheels moves the body but 2 wheels moves the soul.
That GSX is bad ass. The R1 is running super rich by the sounds of it.
Yeah I think that tune needs a bit more perfecting… looks like it should have way more top end unless the gearing just tops out early

Some proper close racing here, not what i expected at all. That Quad is RAPID, i think the only thing letting it down from possible total domination is possibly aerodynamics? It tears off at staggering speed and then seems to hit a wall as the speeds rise. Maybe some kind of fairing is needed for aerodynamics? Either that or some weight loss or a bit more power (just imagine a Supercharger on that beast! Or running meth?) Its crazy that a Quad is keeping up with a proper sportsbike and a supercar!

awesome race the bike drive was rlly good but for me true winnner is the quad stig hes a maniac sending a quad that fast is so terrifying its not made to handle and those speeds u need the utmost of controll and guts to drive something like that so fast
