I've been reading a lot of comments from all of you asking me to make this video, Veesh helped me film all of the clips in this while we were out filming for my new CULT edit !

One thing that helped me learn them was pinching my cranks instead of my seat. I could never do the seat pinch. Whichever foot you have forward dig your heal back and under the crank. And what ever foot you have backwards dig the toes under and that will basically make you pinch your seat but it stabilize it a lot more too.

Good stuff Tyra, I found the best way for me was to either pull up and throw them or ride off a small curb and then while the front tire is off the ground throw them. The second reason I like best because it allows you to practice pinching your seat too. I'm 41, and I'm still learning stuff daily even after 35yrs riding. My seat is about 5-6" up and I never slam it. Not that it's wrong I'm just use to the higher seat. I think if riders raise their seats to 6" (if they have enough post) it really helps till you have bars dialed
it looks easy but freakin hard, i tried today it was sucks if you guys want to be like him , it need alot of effort.

I don't understand how you clamp the seat with your knees, I've landed about 20 clean barspins but I just lost them again. Please help, where exactly do you clamp?
Also I'm left foot forward and throw my bars to the right, yeah I know I'm fuck footed
you could also try pinching cranks! move your front foot a little back on the pedal an back foot a little forward, then use the toe of one foot and the heel of the other to clamp the cranks. could help

hey mikey, big props and much respect and love. Have a question dude, how much air pressure do you recommend having in your front tyre? in the video you say to mess around with the bars, raise your seat and let some air out of your tyres. I ride with like 80 to 90 psi in my tyres, is that too much or not. videos are awesome mate, you always throw down. keep killing it as you do man. much respect to you and the gang. +harry green thanks a lot dude, if I were you I'd switch it up and run something a little lower. Around like 35-45 psi works great for me

+Zd Bmx pull up bars will teach u what its like throwing the bars while on your bike so yes perfect pull up and then go for the hops that's how I learned them :)

Ur barspins are so smooth
If you ride with 2 back pegs, stand on them, lift up the front wheel and then do the barspin. It is an easy way to get the hang of the rotation when doing that. After that, doing it on pedals is easier and you have an extra trick in the bag.

I learned bunnyhop barspins by bunnyhopping into the grass lol it worked pretty good.

also, kids ive found that if you ride with a slammed seat like me. you can also pinch front foot- to the crank arm. and pinch back foot-toes too crank arm. that helps alot more! get out their and shred and just have fun!!

im right foot forward..my problem is..my leftfoot is always releasing the pedals
My bars always feel too close to my knees and belly. But when I try to extend my legs, my leg locks extended, and I feel like im going to blow out a knee landing. Any Tips?

if you are like me and just cannot throw them, i highly recommend a tramp bike. $13 and 30 minutes is all it takes. After 5 minutes on it (if i wasnt injured) i feel like i could've done a hop bar or fly out bar right there and then on my bmx simply because you know exactly what to expect when you throw it which i feel is hard to achieve, and yes ive done those prop your bike up and throw bars over and over . but it doesn't give you the body position which is much further forward and above the bike. also you can experiment with throwing your bars at the highest and coming down also on the way up so you know how not to bar. :)
