Thanks for this great video. Interestingly, I had an audio buddy who owns Wilson speakers dropped by the Montreal audio show to listen to these speakers. He said the synergy with the TS A75 was just spectacular to the point that he consider it the 2nd best system at the show. The reason is because unlike everything else he heard with sparkling detail top end and super tight bass, the TS Voyager TL had emotions. It actually moved him. Just for reference, he owns Mcintosh 611 monoblocks. I call these speakers 'Durian' speakers, if you love them, you really will love them. Not for everyone, but there is something unique to them.
Viet Nguyen of XRK Audio did a great job on designing this speaker for Galion. Together, we voiced the XO to capture emotion and feeling through its musicality. It’s not all about the shock and awe of resolving tweeters that are so often used in high end speakers, but it’s about the overall balance and integration of a smooth midrange with tweeters coupled with a stirring deep and strong bass.
That’s exactly why my title was “true to analog” Thomas. You did an awesome thing with these speakers. 😊😊. For those who are true to the music, they will get it as I did. So good
I gotta say, haven’t finished my date with these speakers yet, I agree sir! They adapt to the amp!

Great review, James. Would love to hear this one. I was a bit surprised to hear he was using Jupiters in the crossover but I found the design and it does look pretty nice for this price point for sure. The woofer is on an iron core inductor which is passable for a woofer. But the resistors are Jantzen wire wound which is great. On the tweeter an air core inductor, a couple Galion branded poly caps and then he's bypassing one of the poly caps with a small Jupiter metalized oil damped cap and that right there is NOT cheap (~$25.00!) but that cap alone is likely sweetening the highs of the poly cap, bringing richness to the upper mids and an overall natural tone. I've seen these in Bamboo as well, beautiful!

IATMS - it’s about the music, stupid! Thomas comes across on his videos as a helluva decent guy, and while XRK’s expertise has long been recognized amongst the DIY Audio cohort, it’s great to see his name acknowledged as designer of top of class products.

I've only seen a few reviews of these on RUclips, great Canadian company just pumping out high value reasonably priced gear. I wonder how these would stack up against the PMC Twenty521i? Or Prodigy? Any chance of you getting in a pair to compare?? I know they are more expensive but PMC would be the only competition.

@@abxaudiophiles The PMC Prodigy 1 are $2500 Canadian. Not sure where your channel is based out of but that would be the closest comparison. Galion sells their stuff in Canada in USD (for some reason) and after the exchange your looking at about $1700 CDN maybe a bit more with taxes based on what province your in. I think it would be an interesting comparison.

Not sure, have not heard them.
Doesn't weigh very much the way you can throw them around.
I have other speakers that are just a smidge smaller and they are very heavy.
Yeah, most speakers are purpose-built to a goal or price point. No wrong or right, really. I have heard tons of heavy and thick cabinet speakers that sounded bad, and vice versa.. :) As we say in our Discord... Sounds good sounds good.
I recently got some speakers that don't weigh quite as much as I thought, but sounds better than the heavier ones I've had before. But isn't as light as this Voyager would be.
