Went to Vietnam last year and going back this year 😊 Landing in Hanoi in june. We go trekking in the mountains north (Sapa)for a week or so before we visit Da Lat and finish off with some relaxation on the beaches of Phu Quoc before heading back to Hanoi.

I have been to Vietnam and Cambodia and Thailand and yes there is a lot of rubbish but a lot of that has to do with the big ships dumping and yes if you like you can take a black bag with you to the beaches and pick up plastic and rubbish

Hi, great video. I saw there are view that being captured by fly cam. By any chance do you guy need to get permits to use it.
Drone laws are a touchy subject. They are constantly changing. As we’re not officials and probably not the best to give legal advice on drone piloting, our recommendation is to check online before your trip to see if there are any new laws or requirements for flying. I can tell you that we've never had an issue, anywhere we've been, with airport security trying to confiscate our drone. Hope this helps! Safe travels!

Can I ask where you guys stayed? And would you recommend staying within walking distance to the town and venture out farther by motorbike for day trips? Or stay somewhere farther out and drive into the town? We will be 3 couples staying 4 nights...
Hi Marilyn! Check the description of the video for the name of the hotel.
As far as location- it really depends on what you want to accomplish. We preferred staying closer to the "action" and food options but if you wanted to stay somewhere a little less trafficked and just commute into town for food/nightlife, that's also an option.

We are going to Phu quoc in April Do they have a lot of rain ?
Yes and no. You will probably experience sunny skies but you may have cloudy/rainy days too. Really up to mother nature 😃
i suggest to go Jan-Feb no cloud or rain at all and also not too hot. im about to go next year

Going to Phu Quoc in a few weeks. Would you say renting a motorbike is a necessity? We don’t have an international license and were hoping to just taxi it if we were going somewhere further away from our hotel on Long Beach.
Really depends on your budget. Motorbike is going to be the cheapest option. We've never gotten asked for our IDL in Vietnam so you most likely could pull off a motorbike with your valid license and a passport. Can only imagine the fish sauce exploding in your carry-on from the pressure and dripping down!
Why can't you bring back fish sauce? I searched online and all I could find was bc of its smell. Even in checked luggage?
Not only tourist do throw trash around but to be fair..the local people some time do throw trash in floor too.

The only thing I would recommend “not to do” in Phú Quoc is not visiting the old Phú Quoc Prison, what in there are nothing but propaganda lie about how the VIet Cong prisoners were treated by South Vietnam government backed in the war. The true story was South Vietnam government treated them so well that when they were to return to the North VN for prisoner exchange, over 200 of them begged for staying back in the South instead. If you do visit that place, what you will see in there are actually how the communist Vietnam treated the South VN soldiers and civilians in the many prisons which they called “re-education camps” 100 of thousands prisoners were killed in those camps, and worst because the war already ended but the communist government still put all of the South VN soldiers in prisons even as they no longer fighting back. The same as China communist government is doing to their ethnic people right now.
Thats life. Be thankful you weren't one of them. Worry about your own life. Much worse has happened over the history of the earth. Not your problem.
Better you come in Italy to eat some good food, I cannot understand how people can eat that rubbish and say " Delicious !!! " but come on !!
