If able, you guys should try Vietnamese snacks like Vietnamese pizza (banh trang nuong), corn (bap xao), and bo` bia ngot. Also try beef jerky, it's so different from American one, worth to try. I just found your channel and I'm so happy that you take you time to visit my beautiful country. Have fun guys!

My girlfriend and I are from Texas. She is originally from Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. I recently traveled there with her for vacation and to meet her family.
It is an amazing place and the food was fantastic. Her family is great and they were so nice to me and made me feel so welcome.
I was in her family’s home looking at a very old picture on the wall of her parents when they were a young couple. I remember thinking to myself if it wasn’t for this young Vietnamese couple half the world away I wouldn’t have met Kim, the love of my life. 😏

I always start the day when in Saigon with banh mi op la (fried egg) and iced coffee from a local street vendor. I also love district three and riding on the back of a motor bike. The best way to get around town apart from walking of course.

That's why fast food like Mc Donald, KFC, Lotte flop in VN. Our street foods are cheaper, faster and healthier. Vietnamese add a lot of herbs and vegetables in their meals. Moreover, you can find food in every corner, alleys in VN.
I don't think lotteria flops in Viet Nam, compares to mcdonals, kfc, buger king,.... lotteria is way more popular. And they are only available in vietnam and korea.
@@jealoussphynx4152 just because they were the first one that enter Vietnam. but compare to other family restaurant (Phở, xôi, cơm tấm,...) they're still nothing here. The real problem is VNese people don't really have their own franchise like those

Same in Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Germany and most of Europe Barr the UK as like Vietnam they are proud of there food culture unlike the US who has an extremely unhealthy amount of food and most food there derives from other countries and just twisted around into a saucy cheesy mess.

guys as a Saigonese I assure you to go and brag that you have definitely had the dishes that truly represents Southern Vietnamese cuisine! Normally people go to Vietnam and automatically have Pho, a Northern dish but not these types of seafood and chicken salad!! Yummm

South Vietnam has the best food and a lot more fun.
food in South Vietnam is more tasty than Hanoi I find Northern Vietnam food to be Bland

I visted Hanoi and i found the people to be very , ill be kind to them and say " conservative " in stark contrast to Saigoners:)))

Loved my Saigon Street Eats tour, unbelievable. If you want two more places as must-dos in Ho Chi Minh, check out traditional Vietnamese restaurant Quan Bui Lounge (must have the pumpkin flower with beef!) and the modern Vietnamese brunch place Propaganda near the Independence Palace. Both were sublime.

I am a chef and want to tour Vietnam in May for one month exploring street food styles and types. My plan is to start in Saigon and head north endi g my trip in Hanoi. Is there an agency or someone I should contact to develop a itinerary that is realistic?

How could you guys possibly eat so much food in night and still stay look fit, I'm jealous ;) I can have the same food here at various restaurants here in San Jose, CA but it won't taste the same yes it has a lot to do with the fresh and local ingredients. It's been 14 years since my last visit. I missed home but the 18 hours flight is what keeping me from being back. Have fun and be safe!!

You’re trip looks awesome. I was planning to visit Vietnam soon but people were warning me not to go alone. How were the local police towards you? I hear they sometimes follow foreigner and don’t leave you alone unless you give them a bribe of around $5 US or so and some come back daily. And people were telling me don’t let anyone know you’re in your hotel alone or they may try to rob you or your room
Everyone's situation is different but maybe you are talking with the wrong people...We'd suggest going and experiencing it for yourself. You'll be surprised at what you'll find ❤️🇻🇳
