- How to fix Windows 10 black screen no cursor issue when the screen is totally black.
Sometime you may get the complete black screen on your Windows 10 after turning it ON.
You won't be able to see the login screen and nothing on screen, not even mouse cursor.
Steps to Fix Black Screen of Death in Windows 10
1. Make sure the computer is able to turn ON by looking at caps lock and num lock keys.
2. You need to boot your Windows 10 in repair mode. To do so restart the Windows and press the F11 key while restarting.
If F11 key does not work then you can perform hard restart by turning OFF your computer unexpectedly. Remove the power cable if you are on PC or take out the battery if you are on Laptop.
3. Now it will start in repair mode, Windows will try to diagnose startup problem. If it can't repair you need to go to advanced options.
4. Turn your Windows ON in safe mode from advanced options.
5. In safe mode open device manager.
6. Find the Display driver and uninstall it.
7. Uninstall monitor driver.
8. Now, restart your Windows 10.
It won't show the black screen anymore.
If you are still getting a black screen then uninstall the graphics driver when you are in safe mode.

Guys, the latest version of Intel HD graphics is really problematic with Windows 10 update 1903, 1909, and 2004. There is no full-proof fix as if now. It is better to remove the Intel HD driver. Read new fixes - www.itechfever.com/fix-black-screen-of-death-windows-10-no-cursor/
Excatly bro, i deleted my display adapter(intel) my problem was solved . But as soon as i installed the latest driver the problem came back.
Please find any solution to install hd drivers.
Solution is downgrade to 8.1 or 8 or 7!

@@snickers2877 You can try removing the Intel HD graphics driver for few days and check if you are getting the same problem. Also, if you have any other graphics driver like AMD or Nvidia then try updating them.

@@sandeepsingh18 bro this solves my problem temporarily but not permanent my graphics card everything is working perfectly but i get black screen alot of times when i start my pc i use hdmi then the problem occurs but when i switch to VGA the problem doesn't occur till i plug in hdmi. I cannot play games in VGA so i need solution permanent one plz

A few days ago, I updated my win10 and was having graphical issues (aka black screen of death or a black screen with a cursor from anytime restarting the computer). After scurrying everywhere on the net trying to troubleshoot on my own, I was seeing a lot of other users having this problem as well. They said that sometimes pressing win + ctrl + shift + b (refreshing the graphics driver card) would fix it. Needless to say, it was a temporary (but an annoying) fix. I called the Alienware technical support team and they wasted 3 hrs of my time just to say the only option I have is to backup and do a fresh reinstall of windows. Thank GOD I came across this video and I can proudly say that this fixed my issue. I can restart my computer at ease without any issues and even better, the boot time is somehow faster.

I m facing the same (black screen of death) after windows update. I have a doubt do I need to uninstall all the display drivers? I can see 2 display drivers in my list. Could you please help me on this ...?
@@damonsalvatore1942 Honestly, you need to try unistalling the graphics card drivers on there and restarting your computer. You dont have to worry about it messing your computer up or worry about your graphics card driver being gone forever.
Once you unistall them, windows will naturally automatically re-add them back and default all their settings back to normal if anything is wrong.
Think of doing this as like refreshing/restarting it.

Apparently, it's not enough to interrupt power - you have to do it AFTER BIOS (first boot screen) and BEFORE the black screen. So, interrupt power AS SOON as the spinning circles start. Do that 4 times.

I tried this but it didn't work. However, when I uninstalled the video adapter driver, the black screen was gone and I could access my desktop but the quality of my display isn't good and the many things I can't do without a video driver.
You need to update the video driver to the latest version.

I’m aware this is an old comment but, for anyone still having this same issue (i was having this dudes issue). Go to system restore and choose the restore point that said like update or some shit. It fixes this issue! 👍

I don't think he gonna help you 😂... hey man... your pc probably have to re install the window.. what to do.. you have to turn your pc off by pressing & hold down the power button until off.. & then turn back on again.. & then turn it off again by press & hold the power button for 8 second, & turn back on,& turn back off again by press & hold the power button .. repeat it 2-3 times like that until the logo Window 10 pops up.. & when the window come up again normally.. click on start & click on Settings, click Update&Security, click on Recovery.. & then click on 'Reset your PC' .

I smashed F8 then on startup settings to boot into safe mode without having to trigger a system restore. Then I did as the video. Only issue was after rebooting normally, 10-15min in, then windows or something installed the driver again and screen black (but still sound lmao) so I had to go again into safe mode and instead of deleting the display driver, I just set it to "revert" and now I'm microsoft default driver. Will reinstall amd driver later, note, it's igpu, no dedicaded gpu
so turns out I had another hdmi (my 3rd one) laying around and it worked. Oddly the other 2 hdmis I have was working pretty much ok with my notebook but not with my pc.
ah, another thing, not sure it's related but the technician did something on the bios, I think he replaced (not updated), but I guess it was more related to another issue I was already having, so there's that

Black screen can't even get into safe mode and if it is I can't tell, monitor is fine other consoles work. Wires are fine. I just can't see the screen I can hear the pc on in my headphones
